Jenny: Yes(Q)
Matt: You're not upset about having to leave are you(Q)
Jenny: No honey. I'm not mad. I know it's just the way it works out sometimes.
Matt: I'm glad you're not upset with me.
Jenny: I'd never be upset with you. You can't help it. Matt: I'm going to go get more comfortable.
Jenny: OK. What do you want me to do with your old wheelchair(Q)
Matt: Better go put it in the garage. You just never know, I may need it for a spare some day.
Jenny: OK. Then I'll cook dinner. Jenny: You know.........the more I think about it.......the more what Matt said makes sense. Jenny: The garage is getting a bit cramped. A bigger house would have more storage space. Matt: Ahhh. This should feel warmer. I've been feeling chills off and on all afternooon.
Jenny: Honey(Q) What do you want for dinner(Q)
Matt: SOUP! A nice HOT bowl of grandma's comfort soup! Jenny: OK. I like a nice steamy bowl of soup on a rainy day too. Jenny: Mmmmm. Grammy would be proud. This is delicious! Jenny: Hey Matt honey! Dinner!
Matt: OK Jenny: Hey honey how come you're in your sweat suite(Q)
Matt: I got cold. It felt like there was a freezing blizard outside.
Jenny: But honey it's barely early Fall.
Matt: Well that may be but I'm fa-fa-fa-fa-freezing!
Jenny: It's not that chilly though. Not in the house anyway......there is a little nip in the air outside.
 Matt: I hate to admit it.........but I think I could be running a fever.
Jenny: A FEVER! (Q) ! (Q) ! Jenny: If you're THAT sick I'm calling an ambulance!
Matt: Woah there! Hold on! Let's not be hasty now. Jenny: I'm not going to do any such thing! I'm not being "hasty"! I'm just worrying about YOU!
Matt: I do NOT need no stinkin ambulance.........good griefe honey. Jenny: You're my best friend in the whole world! You're my lover AND my BFF. I'm just worried and scared.
Matt: I'll let you drive me to the ER........in the van. The blue thing sitting in the driveway that does NOT have lights on the roof or sirens. Jenny: DEAL! I'll just clean up the dishes and we can go. (@ Sim City Memorial Hospital)
Nurse July: Hey guys! What are you doing here(Q) Jenny: Well July Matt has been running a fever. Nurse July: A fever(Q) Uh-oh! Well we need to get him cheched in then. Has he had any flu like symptoms(Q)
Jenny: No I think this is from a wound on his leg that has gotten infected. Nurse July: You know when an infection is bad enough to cause a fever it's pretty bad. Head Nurse Debrah: I'll have ER get a bed ready for him.
Nurse July: How high is the fever been Matt (Q)
Matt: 103.6 Head Nurse Debrah AND Nurse July: MATT!!! Head Nurse Debrah: Matthew Zachery Wheeler! That's terrible! That's NO WAY to take care of yourself! Nurse July: Matt that fever........did it come out of nowhere........or did you have it for a few hours before you said something about it(Q)
Matt: Um....uh......well.......
Nurse July: Uh-huh! What are we gonna do with you(Q)
Head nurse Debrah: Matt Nurse Laura will take you to the ER and I just need a few more papers signed by Jenny. Nurse Laura: OK Mr. Wheeler.
Matt: I hate it when people call me "Mr. Wheeler". I'd rather you just called me Matt.
Nurse Laura: OK Matt. Well This is your bed for the evening........then Dr. Richard will be in shortly.
 Matt: I don't know who HE is. But where is Jenny(Q) My fiance was supposed to be just a few minutes. Nurse Laura: Dr. Richard is the ER physician on call tonight. As for your fiance she'll be along......it's always more than "a few" trust me. Jenny: Sorry honey.
Nurse Laura: See. What'd I tell ya(Q) Jenny: Will you be able to do the lab work and find out why Matt is having this fever(Q) Poor baby is sitting here in a thick ski jacket.
Nurse Laura: Dr. Richard will be able to tell you more miss. Jenny: Who is Dr. Richard(Q)
Matt: That's what I asked.
Jenny: And(Q)
Matt: He's "the physician on call".
Jenny: Oh. Um(Q) Honey(Q)
Matt: Yeah honey(Q)
Jenny: There don't seem to be any chairs........do you mind if I sit in your wheelchair(Q)
Matt: No......go ahead.
Jenny: Are you sure(Q)
Matt: No really.......it's OK. It's not like you're going to go around the hospital with it. (after another 20 min of waiting)
Dr. Richard: Hello.
Matt: Oh so you're Dr. Richard(Q)
Dr Richard: That's me. So what can we do for you tonight(Q) Matt: Well I've had this infection on my leg and it went from bad to worse in record time.
Dr. Richard: Well when did this all start(Q) Jenny: Well it's been a few days at least. Jenny: About 5 maybe.
Dr. Richard: Well I'll need for you to get undressed so I can take a look. I'll also want to get some blood and urine specimens from you to do some lab cultures.
Jenny: Would you please call Dr. Beardley. It isn't that we don't trust you........but he is Matt's doctor and most familiar with Matt's case.
Dr. Richard: I'm not offended. I'll start with ordering the lab work and then I'll call Dr. Beardley and see what he wants to do. So they waited. Matt having nothing to wear except an all over blush. Matt: They could have at least giv-v-v-ven me a stinkin' blanket! Dr. Beardley: Hey there Matt......Jenny.
Jenny: Hey doc. Are you gonna make my honey good as new(Q) Dr. Beardley: Matt! I thought we were getting this under control(Q)
Matt: So did I. Matt: So what do you think(Q) Can we fix it or what(Q) I could use a little sunshine. Dr. Beardley: I know Matt. Dr. Beardley: We'll hit that infection with a one two punch! We'll give you some high dose antibiotics here at the ER then some antibiotics for 2 weeks at home, Nurse Laura: You paged doctor(Q)
Dr. Beardley: Yes nurse I'd like you to start him on an IV drip of 100cc antibotics and give him a steroid injection. Also please change the dressing on the wound.
Nurse Laura: Yes Dr. Beardley.......right away.
Dr. Beardley: You just never know with these things........but THIS should do the trick. Meanwhile Jenny went up to the vending machine area for a can of Pepsi to help her stay awake, the night was getting longer and longer and she was growing more and more sleepy with every passing hour. (from overhead speakers) Code Blue in Trauma bay 1
Jenny: Matt was in bed one. They couldn't. They couldn't possibley. I'm going to go back and check. Nurse Laura: OK Matt. You're all set. You may have some bruising around the injection area. I'm sorry we had to stick you in the crook of your elbow.
Matt: Yeah......me too. Matt: Dr. Beardley's office always gets it on my forearm. How come you guys couldn't(Q)
Nurse Laura: I'm sorry. I tried......but you were kinda dehydrated, and so your viens weren't cooperating with us. Matt: Oh......OK. Where is my fiance Jenny(Q)
Nurse Laura: I paged her to come to the ER. My page got interupted by the code blue page though.
Matt: Yeah what was going on over there(Q) I saw Head Nurse Debrah go running over there, then it got cold in here like an icebox, then this eerie otherwordly laugh, then I heard some sort of.........harp(Q)
Nurse Laura: I cant discuss others'.......
Matt: Then this white light filled the room; and I saw Debrah.......GLOWING!
Nurse Laura: Here are your discharge papers.
 Nurse Laura: Hey Dr. Beardley!
Dr. Richard: What's the rush(Q) The emergency is over.
Nurse Laura: Matt SAW!
Dr. Beardley: Are you sure(Q)
Nurse Laura: Yes sir! He heard the whole thing and saw more than enough. Dr. Beardley: I was afraid of this. I've told her not too. Dr. Richard: What are you going to do(Q)
Dr. Beardley: What can I do(Q) Jenny: Matt! Oh good!
Matt: Huh(Q) Jenny: I heard a page over the intercom. But it was hard to hear. I heard my name, then I heard something about a code blue in the ER. So naturally I panicked. Matt: Naturally.
Jeny: So am I free to take you home now(Q)
Matt: Yeah we can go home now. I can't wait to climb into our nice comfy bed anyway.
Jenny: So what was going on in the ER(Q) Matt: I'm not 100% sure. I was just sitting there with my IV when the code blue call came, then everyone came rushing in. All of a sudden it got freezing cold.......like glacial cold! Then this evil laugh that sent chills up my spine........I almost think I've heard that laugh before.
Jenny: Uh-huh.
Matt: So then Debrah came running in and she said something I couldn't understand, then this light filled the room.
Jenny: Really(Q)
Matt: Yeah then Debrah started to GLOW!
Jenny: Glow(Q)
Matt: Yes......GLOW.
Jenny: Say honey(Q)
Matt: Yeah(Q)
Jenny: What was in that IV anyway.
Matt: I'm serious!
Jenny: I love you honey........even your imagination.

SO! Was it Matt's imagination(Q) Or did something happen in that ER(Q) Is Matt's sore going to finally be taken care of once and for all(Q)
