#29 "Magic"

Matt: Yeah(Q)
Jenny: I'm really sorry honey. I was fine the 1st one or 4 times they poked you.......but I just couldn't take seeing them use my baby for a pin cushion.
Matt: It's OK. I understand.
Jenny: Really(Q)
Matt: Of course I do........there's nothing to forgive.
Jenny: I love you honey.
Matt: I love you to sweet-heart. Oh....uh......say honey(Q)
Jenny: Yeah honey(Q) What's up(Q)
Matt: You know that can of soda looked really tastey. I think I'd like to have a can of Pepsi, oh and maybe a bag of chips. I think I've got my appetite back.
Jenny: Well that works for me.......I don't think that can of soda is going to be enough to keep me awake. I'm so tired I can hardly see straght........I'm going to NEED some coffee! Matt: Ladies 1st.
Jenny: You're so chivelrous.
Matt: Why do you say that(Q)
Jenny: You always want to do things like hold doors open for me........
Matt: Well so long as their not TOO heavy. Jenny: That's what I mean. You're a regular knight in shining armor.
Matt: Well I don't know about "knight in shining armor".......but I sure am sitting in about 20lbs. of "ocular magnetic alloy".
Jenny: Huh(Q)
Matt: Eyeball magnet babe. These things are eyeball magnets.
Jenny: Ha ha ha ha ha. Oh Matt you're such a crack up. And that bit about glowing lights.......that was another good one. Matt: Honey! I was NOT pulling your leg. It really happened.
Jenny: Baby. People......don't just......start glowing. Matt: I know it sounds crazy. And I know it must seem really far fetched.......but I didn't imagine it!
Jenny: And you're sure it was ONLY an IV of antibotics they gave you(Q)
Matt: Har har har. I know what I saw.
Jenny: And it couldn't have been that you were just overly tired(Q)
Matt: NO.......it WASN'T THAT either!
Jenny: OK.........you SAW "bright light". I don't know about you.......but I'm exhausted.
Matt: Yeah I'm pretty tired too.
Jenny: Home it is then. Matt: Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!
Jenny: Matt ! (Q) ! (Q) !
Matt: Muscle spasm! Ow! Muscle spasm!
Jenny: Honey(Q) I thought they were supposed to fix you!
Matt: They did. They got the infection under control........but that cold ER + we didn't do my evening meds before we came.
Jenny: Oh NO! Oh my God! Honey! I'm......I'm so sorry! If I just hadn't been in such a rush you'd have had your meds on time.
Matt: It's OK baby.......just push me to the van(Q)
(giving him a kiss on the top of his head as she pushed him out the door)
Jenny: Anything for you. Jenny: Let's get you home & get your med schedule back on track!
Matt: Hey! Jenny(Q)
Jenny: What is it dear(Q)
Matt: Look in the rearview! I see.....yeah it is! Head Nurse Debrah is in front of the hospital, AND she's GLOWING! Head Nurse Debrah: I sure hope the IV drugs that Peter gave him will work. He may be my older brother.........but as "Dr. Beardley" he sure can be a real ogar to deal with. Head Nurse Debrah: I know I wasn't supposed to use my magic anymore. But what was I supposed to do(Q) Just let that poor child die(Q) If that child was strong enough to fight off the Grim Reaper all the way here.........what's the harm in me helping him out a little(Q) I bet I'm going to be in a whole lot of hot water for this. But it was worth what ever the administration cares to do to me. After all........it's only my licenses as both a nurse AND a witch on the line.
(laughs nervously)
eh heh heh heh Jenny: I don't see anything.
Matt: What(Q) She's right there!
Jenny: I still don't see her. Where(Q)
Matt Right.......well she was JUST THERE! Jenny: Oh bed.......sweet.......sweet bed. HERE I COME! Jenny: Lumbar is going to be VERY HAPPY to see you! Matt: Yeah he sure was whining a lot. Jenny: I thought he was allowed EVERYWHERE you can go(Q)
Matt He is. I just CHOSE to leave him. I thought that seeing the staff poking his daddy might upset him.
Jenny: Well.......yeah. I guess since I had such a hard time of watching them.........I could see how it'd be harder for him. It's not like we can reason with him and explain that they NEED to do THAT.
Matt: Exactly! Jenny: I'm so tired I don't even want to Woo Hoo. Matt: MY Jenny.......doesn't want to Woo Hoo(Q) Jenny: Well.......it's not that. I'd like to, but I'm so tired I'm not sure I can even deal with these boxes tonight.
Matt: So don't. Do it in the morning.
Jenny: sounds like a plan to me. (Later the next morning..........THIS TIME sleeping in til almost noon was because it was almost 3AM by the time they got checked out and back home.)
Jenny: Matt(Q)
Matt: Yeah(Q)
Jenny: Are you feeling better(Q)
Matt: Much better. Thank you. I'm not feeling anymore of that "blah" feeling from yesturday, and my meds are back on schedule.
Jenny: Oh good.
(And she gave him a kiss sweeter than sugar) Jenny: So what should we do about these boxes(Q)
Matt: Just put them in the garage where they won't get ruined.
Jenny: Well I'd rather not do it in my robe. I think I'll get dressed......THEN take them out.
Matt: OK. And I'll make some lunchmeat sandwiches for brunch while you're doing that. Jenny: Now that we're dressed. Jenny: And ready for the day. Jenny: I'll just. Mmmmmmmm! Mmmmmm! Moowah!
 Matt: Oh my! Jenny! I thought for a minute there you were going to tip my over and flip me over.
Jenny: Don't be silly. I admit it wa a bit fun surprising you like that.
Matt: Well glad YOU liked it.
Jenny: I didn't mean to scare you........only startle.
Matt: I'll get back to you on which one it was. And I'll make our sandwiches and call for another delivery. Jenny: Say honey(Q)
Matt: Yeah(Q)
Jenny: How long will THIS ONE take(Q)
Matt: Few hourse. Why(Q)
Jenny: Well the wheelchair took so darn long.........just had to ask.
Matt: Nah. This is just a small box and it's not custom made.......one size pretty much fits them all with the bathchairs.
Jenny: Oh. Well that's good. Jenny: Wow these are boxes aren't heavy.......just cumbersome. Hmmmm. Ah-hah! THAT corner should keep them fairly safe. Jenny: Hmmmm. I think I'll have to ask him about that pile of junk. I don't know why he even has it. He isn't allowed to drive anymore cuz of the siezures. Strange. Matt: I heard the birds chirping and it sounded SO BEAUTIFUL! I thought we'd sit under the tree and stare up at them and the sky.
Jenny: And you're not afraid of another satalite dish falling(Q) Matt: Besides. You were there to save me last time. I'm lucky to have you........in more ways than one.
Jenny: It's nice to be needed.
Matt: You're not just needed........you're loved. Jenny: Well I guess after you get this new shower-chair you wont need me as much.
Matt: Well why would you say that(Q)
Jenny: Cuz with the new bath-chair you're not going to need me to help you as much.
Matt: Well that's not neccesarily true. Matt: Yes it will help with bathing.........getting in & out. Mainly though I'm just going to use one again cuz I'm not supposed to let my leg STAY wet. I have to keep it dry to help promote the healing. Matt: I'd never NOT need YOU! Impossible!
Jenny: Oh honey........that's music to my ears. Matt: Music to your ears huh(Q)
Jenny: Mmmm.....hmmmmm.
Matt: Well speaking of which. See that cloud(Q) It looks like a music note. Jenny: Which one(Q)
Matt: THAT ONE! Over there!
Jenny: Oh yeah......it does! You're right!
(a little while past while they lay in the quiet......listening to the birds magical songs and the beat of eachother's hearts) Matt: Hey honey(Q)
Jenny: Yeah(Q)
Matt: How about a Bab-B-Q tonight(Q)
 Jenny: A wonderful idea hun.
Matt: Well then we'll fire up the grill tonight.
Jenny: How about fish(Q) Matt: Not my fish!
Jenny: Not YOUR fish silly! They're too small anyway.
Matt: JENNY!
Jenny: What(Q) I wasn't. I was thinking trout......NOT fried tetras.
Matt: I should hope NOT!
Matt: It's like Bruce from Finding Nemo said........"fish are friends NOT food".
Jenny: Smirks.
Matt: Com'mon. Say it with me.
Jenny: NO way! I'm not an animated Disney shark. You're such a goof. Matt: Yes. But! YOU love me.
Jenny: Well duh. It's hard NOT too. Jenny: Hey honey. I think I hear the delivery guy around the corner.
Matt: I think you're right! Matt: I meant what I said about not just needing you......but loving you. Jenny: I know you did. I can see that did.
Matt: See(Q)
Jenny: I see it every time you look at me. I see that little twinle......that spark of love.
Matt: That's not a spark honey.........that's a full on flame. Delivery driver: Hey seems like I was JUST here. Delivery driver: Oh good. THIS one's a light one. I hate those big bulky boxes.......no matter how light they are they're still hard to handle. Delivery driver: Ahh......a little package........JUST the way I LIKE it! The chair was quickly assembled. When Matt needs to shower he just sits down and thus stays out of the water. When he doesn't need to use it......it stores conveniently next to the tub.
