Thank you to each & every member of Matt & Jenny's fan club I've had computer problems and as such lost the original Matt & Jenny. I'm able to have SOME custom content but not as much as before so there are SOME changes........I hope they will be minor enough for everyone to still enjoy reading about the lives of Matthew Zackory Wheeler , his loving fiance Jenny , and his faithful service dog Lumbar.

Special thanks go to MINImike for graciously allowing me indefinite use of his laptop which without, playing the Sims 2 let alone writing this story would not be possible.
Additional thanks to windkeeper for making the wheelchair that Matt uses.

Jenny: You know that spill of yours really scared me.
Matt: I'm sorry sweetie. Does it make you feel any better knowing I scared the bajeezers out of myself(Q)
Jenny: No.....not really.
Matt: Sorry baby. Come here. I can think of one way of apologizing.
Jenny: Matt you're hard to stay upset with.
Matt: Were you really upset with me(Q)
Jenny: No. Not REALLY. You just have to promise to keep those heartattacks to a minimum. OK(Q)
Matt: I'll do my best.
Jenny: I don't really want to go back to MY room.
Matt: So don't.
Jenny: Why Mr. Wheeler! Are you asking me to stay in THIS bed......with YOU (Q)
Matt: Why yes Mrs. Wheeler I am.
Jenny: Mrs. Wheeler........ooooohhhhh I like the sound of that........it's got a nice RING to it.
Matt: Yes it does & one of these days you will be Mrs. Wheeler.
(With a tear in her eye.........Matt did again.........left her speechless)
(The next morning)
Jenny: Well honey......do you want to wear your same favorite shirt you always wear or would you like to wear something different(Q)
Matt: Eh......same tride & true comfy black & blue will fine.
Jenny: OK. Then I'm going to see how soon we can get you in to be seen at the Dr.'s office.
Matt: Ya know honey they'll probably need us to come in a few weeks or so. It's doubtfull you'll get an apointment right away.
Jenny: Well right about now.......for SOME reason......I feel like I'm on top of the world and can do just about anything........even get an apointment right away.
Matt: OK............don't say I didn't say something.
Jenny: I like what you were saying last night...........gggggrrrrrrrrr.
Matt: I really HAVE created a monster.
Jenny: Yes is this Dr. Beardly's office(Q)
Receptionist: Yes it is. How may I help you(Q)
Jenny: I'm making an apointment on behalf of Matthew Wheeler.
Receptionist: We're booking apointments five weeks in advance.
Jenny: 5 weeks!!! I don't think that'll do at all. He really needs to be seen sooner than that. He's already fallen several times and I'm sure it's because his shoulder. Please Ma'am.........we really need to find out what is wrong BEFORE he gets seriously hurt. Receptionist: Did you say he's fallen because of this(Q)
Jenny: Yes. On more than one occasion now.
Receptionist: Let me see if I can work him in somehow. Please hold.
(Jenny held for about 20 minutes.)
Receptionist: Ma'am(Q)
Jenny: Yes(Q)
Receptionist: We can work him in at 11:00AM. Will he be able to make that time(Q)
Jenny: That's perfect.........we'll be done just in time for lunch.
Matt: She's good.........maybe a bit too good. (he said with a sigh) Jenny: Honey(Q)
Matt: Yeah(Q)
Jenny: You're not upset are you(Q)
Matt: At you(Q) No. I just don't like hearing bad news..........and was kinda hoping to put it off if there was going to be any.
Jenny: Sweetie(Q) Isn't that beeing a bit of an ostrich(Q)
Matt: Maybe. But at least I can run like the dickens.
Jenny: Very funny honey.
Matt: I kinda thought so.
Jenny: Let's get going. I'd hate to miss your appointment becuase of traffic.
Matt: Yeah. I guess you're right. Besides we never know if there will be enough disabled parking to go around.
Jenny: We're here! Sim City Memorial Hospital.
Matt: Eeew-uh-ooooh.
Jenny: What's wrong honey(Q)
Matt: Just the chills. All those surgeries and remembering how much they hurt gave me a bit of a quiver in my liver.........that's all.
Jenny: Well I can see why you might feel that way.........I know I sure would, or probably worse.
Matt: It's OK boy. Daddy is OK. Just some painfull memories.......that's all.
(intercom pages for various doctors to call various phone extensions)
Nurse July: Well I'll be dipped. Is that Matthew Wheeler(Q)
(2 conversations going at once. Matt & nurse July, head nurse Debra & Jenny.)
Jenny: We're here to see Dr. Beardly.
Matt: Hey July. How've things been here since my shining face rolled on out these doors(Q)
Nurse July: Well not as fun. You always had us cracking up.
Head Nurse Debra: Yes I see you were an emergency appointment.
Jenny: Yes. My fiance has been having a lot of pain and trouble with his shoulders.
Jenny: I was hoping the Dr. would also have a bit of time we could ask him about starting a family. Nurse July: Well check you out Matt. You went from almost checking out........to checking in to being a father. That's awesome. I'm real happy for you pal. You deserve some happiness.
Head Nurse Debra: Yes so long as there is time the Dr. will be more than happy to speak to you about anything you need.
Matt: Thank you...........to both of you
Nurses Debra AND July: You're welcome
Head Nurse Debra: Can you take them to the Dr.'s office(Q)
Nurse Allison: I'll do it. I'm on break in 5 more minutes anyway.
Nurse Allison: Right this way.
Jenny: Why thank you Allison.
Nurse Allison: Oh please.........call me Alli.
Matt: Thank you Alli.
(In the Dr.'s office)
Matt: Well I gues I need to find out what's bothering my shoulders. And I'd LIKE for you to PLEASE talk with Jenny. Maybe you can help.
Dr. Beardly: I'll order an x-ray and an MRI for your shoudler. What is it I need to talk with and help you guys with(Q)
Matt: Well when I was in rehab & we talked about "THINGS" one of those "things" was having children. They said I'd be able to and told me how. But Jenny is convinced we won't be able to have children. Can you help us(Q)
Dr. Beardly: I can help on both counts. Many people are under the assumption that people in wheelchairs are unable to become parents or wouldn't make fit parents..........and that's just not the case. Matt may not be able to show the kid how to ride a bike.........but I hae no reason to doubt that he will be able to father children, if not completely on your own than with a little bit of medical help you'll have a yard full of children if that's what you'd like.
Matt: See. Told ya so.
Dr. Beardly: I'll have the nurse come get Matt & take him to radiology. While he's busy doing that I can answer any and all questions you have.
Matt: Alli(Q) I thought you were going on break(Q)
Nurse Allison: So did I.
Dr. Beardly: Nurse........please take Mr. Wheeler to radiology and I'd like the films back STAT.
Nurse Allison: Yes Doctor. I'll have them do it right away.
Dr. Beardly: Thank you nurse.
Matt: And Aw-a-ay we go.
Nurse Allison: Would you like the films broght directly here or to have the radiologist read them 1st and call you.
Dr. Beardly: Have them do both.......send a set here to my office but I still want to have the radiologist look at them as well.
(While Jenny & the doctor talked in his office........)
Matt went to X-ray
And he went to have an MRI done.
Radiologist Liah: Hey your hair grew in nice and even.
Matt: Yeah. No more tuban either.
Radiologist Liah: Up on the table. I wanna see what makes you tick. (giggeling)
Matt: Well(Q) What do you think(Q) Can I avoid surgery(Q)
Dr. Beardly: I thinki we can avoid it for some time yet. You're still in very good condition........very athletic. I have a much less invasive way of helping yout shoulders.
Matt: Oh(Q)
Dr. Beardly: Go around the corner and it's the 3rd door on the left. Brian will assist you.
Matt: Hello(Q) Brian(Q) Physical Therapist Brian: Hey. You must be Matt. I'm Brian the new phyical therapist.
Matt: What happened to PT Alex(Q)
PT Brian: Alex retired. So to get things going. The shoulder problems you're having are from over use. Those chairs by you......50lb. clunkers, great for around the hospital or for someone who just needs it while a leg heals is fine. These are essentially the same chair you're in now.........twice the money 1\2 the weight.
PT Brian: But this baby.........this is the newest wheelchair on the Sim market. It's innovative design allows this to be a mere 19lbs. Oh & did I mention that the WindSlayer3000 folds so small you can get it into the trunks of most compact cars(Q) Oh & comes in a variety of colors. PT Brian: Here lets get you in a WindSlayer3000. It's a more comfortable chair to sit in too. More ergonomic, lighter weight, folds smaller....... Matt: How small is small(Q)
PT Brian: You can press a button and take the larger back wheels off with out any tools.
Matt: Really(Q)
PT Brian: Uh-huh. That'll come in handy when you're van is full of baby equipment.
Matt: Hey.........how'd you know about that(Q)
PT Brian: Small hospital.........word travels fast. The nurses have been talking about you a LOT! "Miracle Matt".
Matt: More like "Humpty Dumpty".........all the kings Dr.s & surgeons almost couldn't put me back together again. (with a smile and chukle)
PT Brian: Wanna race me Humpty(Q)
Matt: I'm game.
PT Brian: I am too.......but too many innocent speedbumps in the hallway.
Matt: At least they're in the right place to get a broken leg.
PT Brian: You're my kinda guy.
Matt: Thanks man. So which one is mine(Q)
PT Brian: Well 1st we need to see how long your legs are & how wide your hips are. Then a social worker will help you with the paperwork and getting the insurance to cover at least part of the costs.
Matt: How long will that take(Q)
PT Brian: Anywhere from 6-10wkes.
Matt: Well that sucks.
PT Brian: Well then you'll love this.........you get to come see me once a week for the next 3 months.
Matt: Can we schedual it at midnight and have those wheelchair races(Q)
PT Brian: I think I'm going to enjoy your time slot. I would but I only get paid 9-5.
Matt: Hey Jenny!
Jenny: Hey what(Q)
Matt: You've got to check out this new wheelchair! It's awesome. It was super comfortable to sit in AND to push!!!
Dr.Beardly: Well I'll get OFFICIAL results back in a week or so. But so far it looks like you've just pulled some muscles and all you need is some rest and massages, fallowed by some physical therapy and then the lighter wheelchair will help lessen the chances of permanent damage. Matt: I was afraid of ending up like this old vetran I used to know.
Dr. Beardly: We the medical comunity learned a lot. We Know that those big heavy metal wheelchairs hurt their shoulders, but you'll be in a chair made of light weight alloys.
Matt: So I'm not destined to the same fate(Q)
Dr. Beardly: Life is what you make of it. I'm sure the two of you will are going to have a nice long happy life together raising your children and seeing them off to college.
(Matt & Jenny smiled at eachother & thanked Dr. Beardly)
Matt: I feel better already.
Jenny: Me too. Like a big weight was lifted off my shoulders.
Matt: You too(Q)
Jenny:I can't wait til we start our family.
Matt: Want to practice(Q)
Jenny: Matt! We're going to get bopped on the head by Mrs. Crumplebottom if you're not carefull.
Dr. Beardly: I'll be delivering little wheelies in no time by the looks of things. Say what's she doing here(Q) Gypsy: I'm here to read fortunes. Matt: Who needs a crystal ball(Q) Anyone staying here isn't very fortunate.
(Matt & Jenny chukled)
Matt: So. Where were we before you got all paranoid about swinging purses(Q)
Jenny: I'm not sure.
Matt: No(Q) Well I'm OK with right here if you are.
Jenny: I like it.
Matt: Me too.
Jenny: I like it A LOT!!!
Matt: Jenny! You little vixen you.
Jenny: Miss Michelle won't be here for another 2 hrs.
(2 hrs and a whole lot of "fun" later)
Miss Michelle: Hi Jenny>
Jenny: Hi. Hey I like your new clothes.
Miss Michelle: I've got a couple of little ones on my case load. Pants makes it easier to get down and play with them on their level.........the floor.
Jenny: Well Matt is inside waiting for you. He's excited to see you.
Miss Michelle: Likewise.
Matt: Hi! Long time no see.
Miss Michelle: So I hear you're getting a new chair.
Matt: So Insurance pays for it right(Q)
Miss Michelle: Not quite.
Matt: That sucks! I was hoping that I wouldn't have to pay anything.
Miss Michelle: Sorry I wish I could tell you they were picking up the whole bill.
Matt: Well the Dr. said I need this low weight chair.
Miss Michelle: Yes but they'll only pay for a lower cost chair or not at all, but if you keep using the heavier chair you've been using at the expens of your shoulders.
Matt: So either I pay for a couple thousand for a chair that won't hurt my shoulders or let them buy a cheap one that makes them pay tens of thousands in hospitalizations and surgery.
Miss Michelle: Buracracy......gotta love it huh(Q)
Matt: No.......not really.
Miss Michelle: Well let's skip to the fun part. Tell me about this chair.
Matt: I can go flying with it.
Miss Michelle: Oh(Q)
Matt: Yup. Only 19lbs.
Miss Michelle: Well so what color do you want your WindSlayer3000 to be(Q)
Matt: Color(Q) I've been so excited about how small it folds and how light it is........I forgot all about color.
Miss Michelle: Well you could go with white for your wedding.
Matt: Yeah......but I'll have a hard time keeping it looking clean. Maybe for that day we'll just have it painted white for the occasion.
Jenny: Well it should be something you're happy with for a few years.
Matt: Well blue is OUR favorite color. On the other hand........red is awfuly sporty and would be great for when I go to rock concerts.
