Hi everyone and welcome to the fourth and final part of Aurelie's college years. To be honest, this got a whole lot longer than I'd planned. It was hard to find a break point with Aurelie an Connor finishing college and all that. Oh well, I hope it was worth it! I also apologize for the long wait for this part. School started, and I'm lucky if I get an hour on the computer.
Thanks to the CC makers, and let's get on with it!

With our senior year starting up, Connor and I buckled down to work. We wanted to make this count. Both of us had our dreams, and we needed to get good marks. "Hey Aurelie, I was thinking..." Connor started in a wheedling tone.
I laughed and interrupted him. We'd been over this, and at this breakfast, I didn't want to get into it. "No Connor. We can't get married until we're out of college.
"Aw, pleeeeease? I really really wanna!" He whined.
"No. We decided this from the beginning. Only a few more months." I promised.
He sighed. "I guess I just have to be glad you said yes in the first place, because I've been hearing an awful amount of no's recently." He said jokingly.
I smiled at him. No matter when it happened, I couldn't wait to be joined to him by marrige.
Sometimes I think we did more work than needed. To be honest, I was sick of it. But it was needed. We did manage to have some fun though. The one day after a particularily grueling assignment, Connor came over and whollaped me good in the side fo the head with a pillow. After I got over my shock, I was right back with "Oh, yeah? Well take a taste of this!" And a full-blown pillow fight was born. We hit each other until the feathers were flying and we were sneezing. Deceptions were common, but we laughed the whole way through. Whoever said laughter is the best medicine was one smart cookie. By the end, we unanimously declared Connor the winner. He had the element of surprise, but I swear, if there was ever a pillow-fighting olympics, Connor would be the champion! Even among our studies, we still had time for each other. Connor is the absolute gentleman, and he makes me catch my breath with every glance at him. One day at lunch, I broached the subject of where we'd live after college.
"I always thought we'd find a small place near your parents," Connor said.
I bit my lip. I didn't want him to take what I was going to say next the wrong way. "Well, I thought that possibly we could move back in with my parents. Mom and Dad are decreasing in health ever so slightly, though I'd never say anything to Simon or Harmony, I thought maybe we could move back there and help take care of things. Anyway, Mom always had this dream that one of us would stay back and carry on the family's name."
Connor thought for a moment, taking a bite and chewing carefully.
"That's actually not a bad idea. Truly, I'd love living with your family, since I never had one." As soon as he said it, he clapped a hand over his mouth and blushed. I put my hamburger down and leaned forward.
"Connor, what do you mean?" I asked gently.
He looked down before saying slowly, "My parents died when I was thirteen. I grew up with only my older sister to take care of me who was eighteen at the time. We had no other family. As soon as I left for college, she left to South America with her boyfriend."
I was stunned. This was all new information to me.
Standing up, I took him in my arms.
"Connor, I'm so sorry. If I have anything to say about it, I will never leave you and you'll always have a family around you."
I kissed him tenderly to seal the promise.
Winter was soon upon us and my love of the season took over. Connor often joined me in the fun outside.
Being outside was just another thing that stregthened the bond between us.
Ahem, not all of it was mushy bonding. There was the, you know, fighting makes the bond grow stronger if carried out in the right way... Okay, so that's not quite the way it goes.. but it was fun! The months before finals snuck up on us. We buckled down to our term papers, determined to go out with a bang. It wasn't fun and games, but the hard work paid off. By the time the finals arrived, Connor and I were both confident in our effort and grades. I had mine first. Connor came up to me right before I walked out the door.
"Gook luck, sweetheart. You'll do fine. But no matter what, I love you, and that's the most important thing. Even more important than your grade."
"I love you, too." I whispered.
By that night, we'd both accomplished a 4.0 grade. College was over! Time to PARTY!
My whole family turned out for the event. Harmony got there first. She'd taken the bus from school and turned up early.
As I went out to hug her, she stopped dead. Her eyes widened.
"Aurelie," She said carefully, "Am I seeing things, or is that a diamond ring on your finger?"
I laughed and pulled her into a hug.
"Yup, it is. But don't day anything yet. They'll know soon enough."
We sat down to dinner. Everyone was a few minutes away, so we started slightly early. They'd called ahead, explaining that Simon had come down with the flu, and couldn't come. They were late because they had to find someone to take care of him. As soon as they got there, Connor picked up the toasting glasses and handed them out.
"Hello, everyone. I'm glad you could make it. We're here to celebrate that the long years of college are over, but we're also here to celebrate something you don't know yet. Aurelie and I have known each other for three years, and have loved each other for two and a half. I have asked her hand in marriage," -Mom gasped- "And she said yes."
Cheers rang out from my family as Mom teared up.
"To a new marriage, and new life." Connor said, raising his glass.
Everyone drank, knowing that a million memories lay ahead.
"So, I guess that makes you my big-brother-in-law," Harmony said to Connor.
"Yes, I guess it does," Connor said, a little unsure if how she was going to react.
"Welcome to the family." Harmony smiled and gave him a big hug.
"Congratulations!" Mom squealed like a little girl, coming up and giving me a big hug. "I'm so proud of you."
I got all choked up. "Thanks." I managed to get out.
We started to dance to the music playing, all of us feeling as if we were floating. I glanced over at Mom, surprised at how good she was for her age. I knew that under that strong exterior, both her and Dad were failing in health, ever so slightly. I frowned, but then it struck me. They were here now. They would be there when I got married. That's what matters. When we took the party inside (it got a little too cold), Connor and Harmony broke out the pillows, engaging themselves in a pillow fight. I smiled looking at them. I couldn't be happier about how Connor was fitting in with the family. I sat on the couch beside my dad.
"You've been kind of quiet this evening." I noted.
He cocked his head and said, "Well, it's just hard to see my little girl all grown up and knowing she'll be leaving me."
I smiled. "But I'm not, Dad. Connor and I talked about it, and if it's okay with you and Mom, we'd like to move back in with you."
"That's great! Oh, Aurelie, I'm so glad. I just don't think I was ready to say good-bye."
I hugged him, thrilled to know that even though I was staying, if I left, I would be missed.
After that, I promptly grew up. (Need MAJOR makeover!)
I said good-bye to everyone, and hugged Connor. The college rule was that immediately after I grew up, I had to leave. Connor would join me later.
So I loaded me and my clothes into a taxi and sat back. I was going home! The thought was almost to happy to bear.

I was going to do another couple pages on Connor's party, but since Aurelie moved back to Legacy Falls and was in the bin, she didn't show up (no phone). Kinda pointless to feature his party when only his to-be sister-in-law showed up! \:confused\: Hope it isn't too short. Oh, and Connor is a family sim. \:wub\:
