Hi, and welcome back to the Applewind Legacy. I hope this part will be better than the last, maybe not as rushed. I'll see what I can do. And thanks to all the CC makers. Hi, my name is Aurelie Applewind. Yeah, the one with the big nose (I get it from my dad). My mom told me about how she has been relaying our life story to and how it was my time to start. I hope I can do a good job. Right now I'm headed out to get some new clothes. The ones I grew up in are gross. I looked around for a while before finding what I wanted. While I waited for the cab, I watched the clouds. I love being outside. The smells, the sounds, all of it. The clouds are especially fun to watch. It's amazing how they constantly change. I've taken it upon myself to teach Harmony the basic skills. Mom and Dad are really busy with work right now so I thought I'd pick up the slack. I was so happy when Harmony let me put her on the potty. She'd refused for everyone else. I got a makeover! New hair, new clothes. Just wish I could get a new nose... Here I'm teaching Harmony how to walk. She may be grumpy, but she's definetely not dumb. She picks up on everything so quickly. I also taught her how to talk. Her first word was highchair, her second was Aurelie! I guess it was a little more like Auwewie, but close enough! Isn't she so cute! She's always toddling around the house playing with various toys. She's really independant. Dad decided it was time to get me into private school. The headmaster arrived and I was nervous. Dad showed him around the house and as you can see he was very pleased. I could hear him whooping and clapping from Harmony's room! I got out and old dish of Mom's and served it. Luckily it was just a fresh as before. He left very pleased. I got into private school! I was so hyped. As soon as Mom got home, I told her the whole story. She was also very happy for me. This is just a picture to describe the relationship I have with my dad. I can talk about anything to him, and he's always there to listen. I mean ANYTHING. Mom finished this painting today. It took a long time, but it's a picture of Dad tossing me in the air. I've decided to take it with me to college to remember home. It's my first day of private school. I'm nervous and I couldn't stop fidgeting with my hair. I hope I fit in OK. I've heard rumours about these kids being preps AND jerks. Mom and Dad had been talking about having more kids. I wasn't sure, Harmony was enough for me, but if they did, I would love it anyway. While Mom and Dad were at work, it was up to me to take care of Harmony. Usually our schedules work out that someone is home with her which is great. By the way, my first day was really good. I think things will work out. Dad came home from work that day with good news. He'd been promoted to specialist, and he brought home a hefty bonus! Mom sat us down when she got home and told us she too had good news.
"One: I was promoted. I am now executive chef!" We all cheered and hugged. Dad was overcome with joy. Then she surprised us all by saying "I'm not done yet!" We all sat down again. "I'm not sure I can take much more!" Dad said, pretending to be faint. Mom laughed. "Just be quiet," She scolded playfully. Then, with a huge grin, she squealed "I'm pregnant!" Dad and I were stunned for a minute, but then we all jumped up and started talking at once. But Mom just laughed and hugged us.
Obviously, pregnancy is not all fun. Mom was quite sick, but it was ok. We helped her through it. Mom got bigger and bigger. This would be her last baby. She was 40, and we knew that more babies wouldn't be healthy for her. Somehow, that made this baby all the more special. It was time for Harmony's fifth birthday. Dad brought her to the cake and she blew out the candles. She was now a child! Isn't she adorable? I finished my first painting today. I guess it isn't the best, but oh well. You have to start somewhere. I still love to garden. It is a way to get away and relax in the quiet. It was Harmony's first day of school. She was psyched. We decided that she should also be in private school. So we made the call to the headmaster and invited him over. I learned that even headmasters aren't the tidiest eaters. Actually, it was quite appalling. It makes me wonder how many people have him over every year and have to endure flying food. But he left fairly pleased. Harmony was accepted and she started the next day. I spent the rest of the evening teaching Harmony how to study. Being the grouch that she can be, it took quite a while. With another little one on the way, we renovated AGAIN. We added a second floor and all the kids rooms are on it. Here's the main floor. It's the exact same size as before, but it looks bigger because the kids' rooms are upstairs. This is the second floor. One day when I was getting off the bus, I heard my mother screaming from the kitchen. I ran as fast as I could. I found her in an incredible state of pain. The screaming continued for quite a while. But then it was over, and I had a little brother! He is one of the most precious things I've ever seen. We decided to name him Simon. Now, just like I did with Harmony, I pick up the slack where Simon is concerned. Harmony got herself a friend. Her name is Jasmine Curtin, and they are insperable. I love watching them play together. The months flew by and it was time for Simon's second birthday. I got to be the one to bring him to the cake. He grew up and it now an adorable tot. It so much fun to play with him. He loves to be tossed into the air. It was time for Mom and Dad's fifteith birthday. They blew out their candles in succession and became elders. As we all sat down for cake, I got lost in my own thoughts. All this growing up made me think about college. I was ready, but I needed some time to think about whether my family was. Later as I was walking up to my bedroom, I saw Harmony sitting alone in her room. She looked a little down. I walked in and sat down across from her. "What's up, Pumpkin?" I asked. She looked down at her lap, and when she looked up she looked like she was fighting tears. I was worried. "Well, now that Mom and Dad are old, they look so different." I laughed to myself. "Is that all honey? It's ok. That's normal. They still have a lot of time left." Harmony shook her head. "It's that, but also, with you thinking of going to college..." She paused. "I'm afraid of being alone." She said in a rush. That stopped me in my tracks. "Oh Harmony, I won't leave until you're ready. I promise." She brightened and I smiled. I meant what I said. Until Harmony was a teen, I wasn't leaving. Mom decided to retire from her job so she could stay home and take care of Simon. Mom also taught Simon how walk- and talk. It was time for Harmony and Simon's birthday. Harmony was turning thirteen and Simon five. They actually grew up at the exact same time. It was crazy! Afterwards, I sat Harmony down and tentitivly broached the topic of college. "Um, Harmony, now that you're thirteen and can help around the house, what do you think of me going off to college?" I waited pensivly for her to answer. "You know what? I'm fine with it. I can take care of things around here and you should fufill your dreams of being a doctor. Go and have fun." So the next morning I headed out. Simon came to see me off. I was sad to leave, but incredibly excited about the life in front of me. As the taxi pulled away, Simon waved and I waved back. Time to start my life.

A/N: Hope you enjoyed this part. The next part will be about Aurelie in college. Sorry if this part was a lot shorter. Most will be this length, but hopefully better written. I'm learning so much each time I sit down to write.
