Hi there, The name is John Smith, at least it is now!
What should i say about me? Nothing really to tell about my past that is for sure, at least nothing im proud enough to tell you about. So lets talk about my future....
This is my home...At least for now. Its actually a Run down Gas Station and since i have no family or friends and no place to go since my criminal days, I guess you could say Im homeless I guess it could be worse, At least whoever was here before left some furniture behind, Not that its in the best condition. I couldnt find a bed for this dump, So the pipes and an old matress will have to do, At least until i can find myself a job. Hampshire is the place ive decided to call home. Old, Smelly and run down is this part of the town. Old homes are falling down i have no idea why the local council has not decided to just bulldoze the lots. New Hampshire is where the Locals live now which is a few miles away just outside the town, They never come to this part of the town why would they, i dont think anybody would if they had a choice. I like the peace and quiet anyway...Unless you count the rats scuttling around at night. I know what your thinking...Cant believe he can read!
Well i had plenty of time in prison to learn, I guess the past can come in useful sometimes, Growing up as a child in foster care going from one place to another. When i hit my teens i got into a bad crowd and by my young adult days i had already been in prison. I guess now several years later and finally out of Prison is why im stuck here.
Since though i was alone i figured i might as well learn to cook something in this place.
I got bored quiet easy however and couldnt believe my eyes when a women walked past my "Home". I admit i hadnt seen a women in several years thanks to my previous behaviour. I decided to go and say hello. Her name was Lilly Do, I asked her what she was doing in this part of town, its dangerous She replied she didnt know, she was just passing through but she was not worried. When i told her again it was not safe she replied "Why are you a dangerous criminal?" I didnt see the point of lying to the women, after all she seemed to be mocking me, So i told her the truth, I explained that i had just come out of prison to see what her reaction would be Her face said it all, At which point i decided that no matter what i did i would never change anybodys mind about me, Didnt everyone deserve a second chance? She said that her house had better not be burgled she stared at me with such accusing eyes...After all i had no idea where this women lived! She Added that it was people like me that had made the locals leave in the first place and maybe i should consider doing the same and get out of town. I knew then as she walked away discusted that i would show her, In fact i would show the whole town that i could turn this neighbourhood around! I would prove them all wrong. Even if i had to knock on every door and change every light bulb possible. I would make this town a great place to live! I would prove all the snobs in New Hampshire that this part of town is a great place to live!

To be Continued.......
Will John Smith do as he says and turn around this terrible part of town into something to be proud of...Will Lilly Do prove to be a thorn in his side. Will John resort to turning back to his crimial ways? Find out in the next part 2!
