Through the past week there had been nothing but exams and On the Job Trainings. I may look like I could go on; truthfully I could, but another minute without Yuki-san would kill me! Thankfully it’s the weekend and I could finally spend some time with him. What shall it be? A morning stroll in the park would be nice, then have lunch on the grass, after that maybe a movie or go shopping – there’s this coat Yuki-san really likes…”I’m back.” There it is; the most angelic voice in the – “…” Surprised to see someone with him, I paused and looked at the little child. “Arashi, this is my niece Scott. She’ll be here for a while in Japan for her mother’s death anniversary. We’ll be going out WITH HER today…” ‘…with her today…with her today…with her today…’ No good! The phrase just keeps rewinding and playing in my head. What’s worse is that Yuki-san wanted to go to the museum, not the park. “Hey mister…” a little, surprisingly feminine, voice said as I packed our lunch. “Yuki-chan told me you like to fish, so let’s go to the lake instead.” Hearing her say that I felt relieved and smiled; she’s a nice kid. After changing plans and clothes we headed off to the lake. Luckily there were only a few people that time or Yuki-san would’ve driven away and went to the museum instead. He hates noise and crowds – which explains why he throws things at his noisy students. (Glad I’m not one of them) We then set up our, as little Scott calls ‘home base’, near the edge of the lake. Yuki-san set up a hammock to, as per usual, read ‘Dear America, aboard on the Titanic; a diary by Margaret Anne Brady’, (Yes I know its complete title) while I geared up to catch one of Yuki-san’s favorites – Trout, while Scott… …IS MISSING! “Didn’t I tell you to keep an eye on her, AHOU-rashi?!” ‘Demon Yamada’ roared with a hint of panic and worry (and surprisingly, didn’t throw any objects); “If anything happens to the kid, aunt Ara will haunt me!” A bit panicked myself, I briskly patted his shoulders, “Sorry. Look, she couldn’t have gone far.” Searching frantically we finally found her at the playground with another kid. Feeling that something happened, both Yuki-san and I hid behind a tree and eavesdropped. “Hey, don’t cry. You’re not the one who’s beaten up here.”
“But…you got hurt, because of me.”
“This…nah, it’s nothing. Don’t let others bully you next time okay? Promise me that.”
“Okay…I promise.” Soon they parted as a man approached and ushered the other girl away. We then jumped out of the tree and fussed over Sco – “Ayeeee!!! What’s this on your face? Who did this?” ‘Demon Yamada’ once again roared only with his voice completely laced with panic and concern. “It’s alright, just a scratch.” Later that afternoon we went back home. Yuki-san then ‘ordered’ Scott to take a bath and change into her yukata before Zinnia-san arrives to pick her up. Due to the stress, he fell asleep on the couch and I opted to carry him upstairs so he could sleep better on the bed. When I came down, she was already waiting for me with expecting eyes. “Hey mister, you love Yuki-chan a lot, huh?” Once again I sighed and smiled. The questions she asks, the decisions she makes and the actions she takes all resembles Yuki-san’s. “Yes I do, very much.” “Then, tell me.” She started then paused. “How…how can I tell someone you love them, without saying ‘I love you’?” Her question melted my heart a bit so I came close and hugged her tightly. “You see…It’s hard to say it…” she continued. “No matter how much feeling you have, as long as you don’t let it out then it’s meaningless.” I said in a calm manner. She didn’t say anything after that and I panicked a bit; I wasn’t able to hold back there. “What I mean is –” “I get it, I’ll never forget it. Thank you.” She said, smiling. In return I smiled back, crouched down and kissed her forehead. “You can tell her that someday.” A week after Scott went back to the States. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Anyone can guess who's the girl Scott's with...? It's a Lorelei hint! XDD
