POSTING THIS WAS A PAIN - DETAILS @ THE CORNER LOL Me, a model; what was I thinking? Am I really that bored to accept such an offer by people I just met? “We’re nearly done,” Greg said as he brushed my eyelids. “Greg, are your parents okay with what you’re doing?” I asked; I didn’t know what I felt at that time, jealousy, awe, or maybe just curiosity? “Nope,” “Mom and dad wanted me to succeed the company; they also planned to marry off Alice to their business partner’s son. Pathetic isn’t it?” He said in a tone so numb, “I know what I wanted,” he continued, “So here I am turning you into a goddess. Alright, we’re done; open your eyes.” I opened them and froze as I gazed at the stranger in the mirror. “AKKK! Good Gravy!” I looked like my late granny! “Oh sorry, here let me get those curls off.” Once the curls were off, cute waves fell down my shoulders - I just couldn’t believe it, “Don’t you like it?” His voice was completely sad as if my words of disbelief torn him. “Wow, I don’t know what to say – how did you make it longer? You’re like a pro!” Hearing that, he smiled contently. “Hey, it’s Yuki’s turn!” Alice shouted from outside the door. “We just finished,” he shouted back. “Go with Alice, she’ll help you change.” Even though a part of me thinks that things were going a little too fast, I went out with Alice and changed anyways. “I can’t believe it,” she swooned as she looked at me from head to toe. “You look so good; I’m a genius!” I silently agreed with her as I felt really comfortable with the dress. I don’t normally wear them since they feel kind of itchy – sequins and all, but this was different. It felt soft and smooth against my skin; I could wear it all day! “Make way, make way!” Greg shouted as he and Yuki came into the room. “Aww you look ADORABLE!” Alice cheered, “I’m a double genius!” After that we went in the photo room where Alice praised herself some more. “Self-praise again Alice?” An unfamiliar face said appeared behind Greg and Yuki. “Whatever, just get your camera in here and let’s get started.” He must be the photographer, but he looks so young. “Oh, a new model?” he said as he approached me; sugoi…he’s cuter up close. “I’m Shibata Hajime,” he introduced as he held up my hand. “And you…are a fine lady.” He cooed as he graciously took my hand and kissed it. “Oi…I thought I was your lady.” Alice complained, “If you keep hitting on my models, it’s the breakup speech for you.” Hajime just chuckled. “Let’s get started now, shall we?” During the shoot, it felt like a whole different world. The new hair, the designer dresses, spotlights, the flashes…this isn’t what normal teens go through. But I then realized, there’s no such thing as ‘normal’ – everyone wants to be different. Alice, Greg, Yuki and Hajime all made up their minds. It was about time I did too. “Good, good,” Hajime repeated as we posed, “Yuki look over here, oh I love that face, keep it that way.” He cheerfully recited as he took a couple more shots As time goes, it felt like the camera’s flashes had became rhythmic – like a dance pattern of light and dark. My eyes can’t help but cringe every now and then, and Hajime would notice. Time goes by and we were finally done. Greg removed the makeup and we changed our clothes. The hair won’t last long after I shower so that’s not a problem. After I help them clean up, I went outside for a breath of fresh air. I sat on the grass and looked up the sky – orange as the sun was setting. Soon, Yuki joined in, lay down and looked up at the sky but she didn’t say a word. “Hey Katrina, do you have a minute?” Alice…? “Yeah, what is it?” I asked as she sat down beside me, “if you don’t mind me asking, why did you took my offer?” I didn’t mind, but the question bothered me a bit. “I guess there’s no harm in doing it, and it’s sort of fun.” Hearing me she smiled and looked up into the sky. “Well, that’s nice.” “So, do you really want to be a pro designer? I mean…how can you be?” I asked, not letting the conversation die down. “Yeah, all you need is inspiration, spirit and a whole lot of energy! If you have the right mix, a path will open for you someday.” All of a sudden Alice’s phone rang. “Hmm, it’s Hajime. Well, I’ll see you two later at the welcome party.” Welcome party? Heh, I guess I really did fell into a well-planned trap; they even had a party set up. “If I had a goal like that…then maybe I would overcome all obstacles in my way – even with this hopeless body.” Yuki started as she stirred around the grass. I guess she was listening the whole time. “Being a pro model or college exams aren’t a good goal?” I mindlessly asked. “I guess I just went on with the flow. Everybody thinks that if you didn’t graduate from a good college, you’re nothing.” Everything she said was right on, I felt the same but I just could help but laugh at loud. “It’s not funny!” She irritably shouted, “They’re driving me nuts! My life is rotting, and I just want to live it my way!”
“But then, they’d ask ‘what do you want to do?’ and I wouldn’t have an answer.” I may not be sick or unable but I feel her pain – somehow I do. “I’m sorry, it’s no fun listening to other people’s problems; I’ll stop. I feel silly.” She quickly apologized seconds after her rant. “It’s not silly, there’s nothing wrong with talking about it; I’ll listen.” And so we stayed by each other and talked on and on for about an hour. We talked about all sorts of things, from our favorite colors, bands and food to even our thoughts on politics, religions and the like. I thought I’d never get into a good conversation with her before, but I guess it all worked out. “Oi, we’re going to the beach for dinner!” Greg shouted from the balcony. “…Go to the beach, for DINNER?!” My thoughts voiced out, I guess it can’t be hidden. “Yeah, Alice scored some coupons, but it’ll only last ‘til 8pm so we better get going.” So without a minute to lose, we all hopped into the truck. Greg started the engine but Alice and Hajime were still missing. “Now where’s Alice?” Greg whined in his seat, “This truck won’t move without her license.” We waited for a couple more minutes but still no sight of them. It was already seven-thirty so I volunteered to look for her. “Tell her she’ll pay everything when the coupons expire!” Greg shouted from the truck. “Sure.” “Alice,” I checked the studio, but she was nowhere to be found, “Alice?” Still no answer…then I heard voices in the photo room. Slowly I approached the door, wanting to place my ear near it but didn’t. Then the knob moved. ...
OH, is the chapter over already...hang on I'll be there in a sec.
...So *cough* how'd you like it? *cough* I'm sorry for the delay - I tried all I could. The first shots *cough* were shot on the way to the hospital, then a couple in the hospital. The rest were done days later =3= *cough*
*cough* also, I had a bit of *cough* trouble posting this on site. I think I had about four rounds of retrying since I got confuzzled in my own numberring @-@ *cough* but I got it up... ...*coughlikemyspleen'sgonnacomeout* aaaaggguuukkkckkaaaaakakaa!!! Visiting hours are over, camera and media are also not allowed in the patient's room. Please go at once before I call security.
[end for now] I'm feeling better btw, that's how I managed to put this up. Thanks to the people who worried lol *hugs them* and thank you so much for the CCs featured in this chappy ^^, especially the hair and clothes, makeup as usual by Bruno - thanks a lot!
