xoxo zen For about two hours I stayed by Scott’s side through her classes and mastery tests. To my surprise, she was quick to finish them. Mastery tests aren’t to be taken lightly as they should be ‘mastered’ or ‘perfected’ before they allow you to move on; quite harsh – but very effective in making sure the students study. By the time the clock’s hands reached twelve noon, I had to go back to the house to rest and leave Scott’s side. With the Lantern festival approaching, I’m becoming weaker and I have to go back to my source of strength, that is, my place of haunting. It’s also about time I let my dear narrate, don’t you think? ‘I’m going now, Katrina dear.’ I whispered to her as the bell rang. She looked up from her book then smiled, “take care,” she whispered. I felt my heart melt, then rose again, closed my eyes and drifted far away. *change POV*

“…what?” A voice stuttered above my head. I gazed up and saw, what I think, a friend, before me. “Oh, von Meyer-san, do you need anything?” I formally asked. “…von Meyer-san,” he repeated and chuckled, “– call me Greg, Miyazama-san.” A smile crossed his face then I let out a giggle. Odd, though since I’m not the giggling type. “…Miyazama-san,” I imitated, “call me Scott.” “Oi, you all waiting to starve to death,” Alice called from across the room. The moment she saw us her face changed, as if she saw something horrid before her. “Gregory, what are you doing beside that Miyazama kid? Get away from her now.” “She’s cool Alice, no worries.” He replied as she walked towards us. I don’t know why but the way she walks gives me shivers, it’s as if she has a completely developed intent to kill. By the time she reached us, she placed her full force on my desk – I froze on my seat, scared. “Is that so?” I’m gonna die, and it’s only lunch time! I closed my eyes, getting ready for my horrid fate. “Lunch, are you coming?” What? I opened them, expecting fiend before me. But I stand corrected. She wore a pure smile on her face, like an angel. I stared, and then nervously smiled back. I know the embarrassment must’ve leaked out; I simply can’t hide it. I was cowering before her! “…alright,” I meekly replied. Then she laughed. “Oh that was rich! Katrina, you’re so cute.” She said between her breathless cackles. Is she toying with me? A part of me wants to assault her and ask her what her problem was then I heard her sigh. “I’m sorry, kid, just a little experiment. Come to lunch with us, okay?” Then she left. I didn’t know what was I supposed to feel, happy? No…I’m just dumbfounded. Why do I feel that this ‘invitation’ is some sort of trap? I got up to breathe from the tension, “Ah, don’t mind her.” Gregory called my attention, “its Hideki, who’s her problem.” I just closed my eyes and smiled, probably relieved or pleased that I’m not the only one who dislike him. “I can’t blame her for that.” I chuckled. “Yeah, but sometimes she overdoes it. We’ll be outside, come to lunch okay? And it’s not a trap.” Well, at least I know he’s not out to get me. Then again, he’s kind of charming, in a weird sort of way. “Ano…excuse me,” I turned gave the girl across me a soft, curious look, “…sorry, it’s nothing.” “Miyazama-san, can you please carry Mitarashi-san to the clinic?” Our homeroom teacher asked ash she was getting ready to leave the room in a hurry. “No problem,” I answered. “I’d do it myself but we have a board meeting, I’m sorry.” Then before I knew it she was out the door and only Yuki and I remain. Soon as Ms. Telerman was gone, approached her, keeping my eyes on the floor. “You don’t have to,” I heard her say, “But I told Ms. Telerman that I would.” Before I could hear another rejecting reply I scooped her up and got ready to head over towards the door. Unfortunately it didn’t go as planned, “Let me go,” she shouted as she shoved me. “Umff, I can walk just…” ‘…I can handle…myself' she mumbled as she looked up to me. “Are you okay?” ‘…Miyazama-kun’ “…is she going to be alright, doc?” I worriedly asked as we stood near Yuki’s bed side. “She’s going to be fine. Mitarashi-san just doesn’t like being carried,” Ms. Marie calmly said. “She’s just stubborn; after all, no one wants to feel weak…” “I’ll be going now doc,” was all I said when I approached the door. I stopped a bit, waiting for an answer. Fortunately, no…unfortunately, there was none. I touched the doorknob, letting its cool metal feeling sink into my hand. No clue, no known reason; I just felt it all of a sudden. There was something about Yuki that makes me want to be near her… ‘Come to lunch with us okay?’ the voice resounding in my head…oh no, I’m late! Upon realization, my dead eyes woke and my cemented feet trotted, that is until I passed aunt’s office. Once I reached the staircase I ran like crazy – hoping that it wasn’t too late. “Oi, Scott, over here!” Greg called out from their table. “I’m sorry, I had to,” apologies fell from my mouth as I walked briskly towards them, “– we know,” Alice cut, “hope you didn’t carry her though, she hates that.” “Is she…” I started as I took my seat between them, “…sick?” Greg asked. “Yeah, but she doesn’t like special treatment, makes her feel terrible you know.” Alice related. I knew she was sick, but with what? Seeing how she collapsed makes me wonder how serious it was. “Um, what…no, never mind.” I hesitated; after all, I shouldn’t poke my nose on other people’s businesses. “Leukemia,” Gregory answered as if he read my mind. “Tick tock guys, better get munching. We still have swim class.” Alice said as she got up from her seat, “I’ll go on ahead and bring Yuki some lunch, later.” Konichiwa everyone~! Welcome to Zen's corner; a brand new lil portion in Lorelei. I'm Zen, your author and host. First of all, I'd like to let you guys know that I had FOUR game crashes while shooting this chapter. That's right, four...four in a ruthless row!

"Holy Simoly!" Everytime I had to cringe and say 'please don't crash' over and over, then I push the button. And...BAM! Crash right there. I had to reluctantly remove some CCs, hacks and the reflective floors - which I was dying to try! I also cleared my cookies too.

"Dear merciful heavens, WHY ME?!"

Thankfully, I got around it. Ah but enough about that... Since this is the first appearance of the corner, let's start with something simple. How do you like the new cover art? Are there things that confuses you? Would you like me to interview one of the characters? etc. I'd like to know these, since I want to improve and entertain you better.

You have so much fabulous custom content and great poses too that make the story all that much more interesting. I am a bit lost as to whos POV it was from at the beginnning though...Still great though and I'm looking forward to the next part.
