Chapter 8 - Changes =] happy reading~! Weird, no…my morning was beyond weird; I mean, who would call yelling ‘I’m not gay’ when they wake up ‘normal’? Ah, whatever. I grunted and looked at the clock…annoying thing, “stupid clock,” I huffed under my breath. All of a sudden Zin burst out laughing. “Now I have another reason to throw away that thing,” she said. The whole morning I was completely out of energy, completely unmotivated to move even an inch. It was probably due to my lack of sleep. Who knew what time I dozed off, I didn’t know. TV…I need TV! Grunt, grunt, grunt, bam! I slammed my face on the table, cushioned by my arms while I watched. At least my favorite Saturday show’s on; wait, Saturday? “Ohhhhh, crap…” I heard myself in utter disbelief. “You late for something, baby Kat? Lunch’s almost ready.” Lunch…? I looked up at the kitchen clock; it’s twelve-thirty! “I…uh, my classmate invited me over for lunch…today; at one.” “That’s fine,” she smiled – content. “I have a meeting by one too.” So after stuffing my face, brushing and getting dressed all together I noticed Zin was all dolled up. “Are you sure you’re going to a meeting?” I teased. “Yeah,” she bluntly replied as she hogged the mirror. “I’m off,” I said as I strolled out the door. “I’ll drive you there…?” She asked once more, still in front of the mirror. “Nah, I wouldn’t want to spoil your date.” I cheekily replied as ran out before Zin could toss me a quirky remark. The thought gave me shivers, but then again it was about time. Too obvious; ‘meeting’, my butt! After a few minutes of walking, I arrived at Alice and Greg’s ‘studio’. I was surprised since it’s the only building on the lot. ‘How could they afford that?’ I asked myself, then again, they are loaded. “Oh afternoon, Miyazama-kun,” someone called. I spun around and there she was: the object of my confusion. “Hi Mitarashi-san,” I greeted, “Did Alice invite you for lunch too?” “Kind of, we always have lunch together before work.” ‘Work, what kind of work,’ I wanted to ask, but I didn’t want to be nosy. After our brief chat we headed out for the front door. Then I paused, I didn’t exactly know which door it was since the front looked more like a shop than a studio. “Over here,” Yuki called out. The front door, wasn’t exactly at the front, it was above on the second floor. To reach it we had to go up a flight of stairs to a cute little door. It was small inside, a lounge, a kitchenette, a desk and a sewing machine. It was like a secret hideout. “We’re here,” Yuki called out to the empty space. “Be right there in a minute Yuki,” Greg called back; seems like they’re busy. “Hi girls,” Greg greeted as he pranced out towards us. “Cute hat, Yuki,” he greeted her with a compliment, a two in one. ”Hey Scott, you made it,” he greeted then paused. Wonder what he’ll say next. “Same hair as usual…?” Okay, interrogation or insult, I couldn’t choose which one. “Uh, yeah…are those new glasses?” I counteract. “Yep; ole Greggy needs those if you don’t want him to cut your ear off.” Alice’s voice entered the room. “Hmm…why,” I asked, as I looked to the direction of her voice. “Just ‘cause.” She answered then joined us. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw her. Is that Alice; the tough, scary, bullying Hideki, Alice? She looked more like a girly girl than before; completely unexpected. “So…when’s lunch?” I nervously asked to clear the tension. Soon the food was served and we all sat down. “So, is this place all yours?” I just got to ask. “Yeah, mom and dad are always at work oversees so it isn’t much fun hanging around the house.” Greg answered – blunt with a hint of dismay. “Doesn’t matter,” Alice cut. “The thing is, I’m a designer, Greg’s a hairstylist and Yuki’s our model. I make clothes, Greg dolls Yuki up and we sell it off.” Which explains the boutique down below; wow, talk about a business of your own. “Catch is we need some help.” Greg said between chewing; Alice gave him a disgusted look. “Lorelei, our other model’s been sick a lot lately, and well, we need another one. We also need an extra hand.” “So you’re asking me to be a model?” I asked them, completely baffled. “If it’s the salary, yes – you’ll get a quarter of the total profit of the month.” Alice bluntly explained. “What I meant is I don’t know if I could make the cut.” It wasn’t a poor excuse; I always knew I’m not that pretty. Unlike Yuki, I mean compare me to her – “You’re tall for starters.” Yuki voiced. “Good physique,” Alice added. “…and cute hair,” Greg winked as he fondly looked at my head. It seems like all of them had agreed to this before I got here, a trap? Oh, I should’ve known! I don’t really have a choice, and it sounds fun anyways so…“What about school?” Oops, stupid question! We’re home schooled after all, it wasn’t a problem to begin with. All they needed was a ‘yes’ from me and we’re good to go. “I mean, okay, sure…sounds fun.” A split-second after my reply they all cheered like happy little kids. Alice took my measures and headed off to her table. Yuki went on to call the photographer. And lastly, Greg took me to his ‘parlor’ to change my do. “I don’t think there’s much you can do with short hair,” I childishly whined. “Oh hush,” he said with a completely different accent. “With von Meyer hands, you’ll look like a goddess in no time.” Oh where does the time fly...? Welcome back everyone, loyal and new readers alike. I'd like to once again thank you for reaching this far.

The hair and outfit, you ask? Well its just something to cheer me up.My nose's been running lately...like a faucet I tell you!Good news is my baby sister is feeling a bit better. Only for the sickness to pass on to me HAHA.
 Now about this chapter's corner, well I've been recieveing comments about how confused you guys are about who's this and that, so I made a family tree to explain everything.
 I hope this helps out, if there's anything else that's confusing, please let me know.
 Ohh...is that apple pie I smell? Well, gotta run, I hope the family tree cleared some things up ^^ see you all again next time.
