You are hereby cordially invited to attend the hanging of Dick Turpin, highwayman........ "Hello my dears. That's right, come closer. You've nothing to fear from old Moll. I want to tell you the story of my friend Dick and how he came to be imprisoned here in the dungeons of York Castle." "You've already read the sign, I daresay. It lets people know that Dick is soon to be hung at Tyburn. They want to make sure of a big crowd on the day so they can charge people to watch."
 "Dick was a highwayman.....He'd bully travellers on the king's highway at night and demand they hand over their gold and jewellery." "Like poor Dorian Smythe here who was returning home from an honest day's labour when he was shocked and startled by the sound of somebody approaching him from behind." "What do you want from me, you ruffian?" poor Dorian whimpered, cowering in fear. Dick demanded that Dorian hand over his gold wedding band and the gold buttons from his fancy coat. "You can cut the buttons from my coat," Dorian pleaded with Dick,"But please don't take my wedding band. It has great sentimental value for me." "But Dick was merciless and took Dorian's wedding band regardless. As Dick strode away poor Dorian clutched his chest with the pain of losing it." "Dick was also a horse stealer. One night he crept into a local farm and found two beautiful black horses in the farmer's stables. The horses had been kept well by the farmer since they were foals and as a consequence were extremely tame and trusting of all human beings. Dick didn't have any trouble in getting the horses to follow him along the road. They followed him obediantly just by him beckoning them. He kept one of the horses for himself and named it Black Bess." "One night Dick was in his local tavern practising one of his favourite habits when a particularly lovely young lady entered and caught Dick's eye." "The young lady was none other than the virginal daughter of rich landowner Sir John Glutton who was only visiting the tavern to collect a bottle of brandy to ease the pain of her father's gout. Not recognising her, Dick made appalling suggestions to her which made the young lady cover her ears in horror." "Then without warning Dick made a sudden lunge for the young lady. She threw up her hands in horror and cried, "Help!" "Unbeknownst to Dick, Captain Nathan Spiker had been waiting outside for the young lady and had rushed into the tavern when he heard her cry. Nathan Spiker was Sir John Glutton's steward. "You dastard," cried Spiker,"You'll apologise at once, do you hear sir!" "Oh will I?" said Dick,"We'll see about that!" "Dick dashed gin into Spiker's face. "You'll pay for that sir," raged Spiker. And he led Dick away to York Castle to be placed in a cage and be subjected to the elements and the mockery of the locals." "Dick bit his knuckle as he was about to step into the cage. "I'm sorry Captain Spiker," he sobbed,"I was out of order, I see that now. Please let me go and it won't happen again, I swear." "Too late for apologies now you swine," roared Spiker and slammed the door of the cage shut behind Dick and turned the key in the lock." "The next day Sir John Glutton's daughter came by and mocked Dick through the bars. "Do you want a banana, monkey?" she jeered at him." "Would you like to know about Dick's imprisonment and eventual execution? You would? Then you'll have to join me next time for the second installment of 'An Invitation to a Hanging'. Bye bye for now."

I recommend that anyone who likes highwayman stories also views The Highwayman at http://www.machinima.com/films.php?id=1249 which was also made using the Sims 2. Turn your speakers on for that one because it is after all a music video. They also use Besen's highwayman outfit. \:\)
