Lost in life, pt 4- The final year dawns

hello and welcome to part 4 of my story, Lost in Life.
i am very sorry for the huge delay in writing this story. had some family issues that needed my absolute attention and work was busy so i had no chance to get on here.
i would like to thanks those who have read this story, it has been wonderful reading your incredible comments. please read the first three parts before you read this, so you understand.
now lets carry on...
it had been many months since the fire that destroyed lewis and tyes home. and had claimed the life of someone dear to them. lewis now looked at the new home, rebuilt from its former ashes. and lewis just couldnt believe how lost he was feeling.
he spent many days standing in his new kitchen just looking at what his life said about him.
he was in his senior year now, and was on the eve of his last ever midterm exam.. there was no going back after this
'can you believe we are sitting our midterms tomorrow' said tye with glee. he couldn't wait to get them over and done with, he wanted to get his exams done as soon as possible.
lewis was more skeptical, he loved the thought that he wouldbe in the real world soon,
but sometimes it hurt to know that he would be leaving the place he called home for four years.
'i know its mad isn't it..' he lingered as he looked deep into his coffee
so morning came, as the birds started to sing. lewis and tye sat in their new master suite. the room was so much bigger since the fire. they decided asgainst having a spare room, they didnt want anyone else to risk their lives. so the house was made more suitable for them.
'so babe. you looking forward to your last midterm exam in literature?' asked tye.
English was always lewis' strongest subject, he enjoyed it with such passion. there was nothing better than a good book.
'yeah i can't wait. how about your art?' asked lewis in return.

tye Barratt was known throughout college for his expressive and very subjective art, and was probably the best painter on campus.
'i surely am, bring it on, i say' replied tye cheesily.
a few hours later, and the exams midterms were complete.
it was time to finally unwind, and start preparing for the biggest exams of their lives.
and as night time fell, lewis and tye got ready and left the house, for a night at the campus lounge. 'lewis, babey.. this will be a night to remember..' tye said joyously and so it was,, they rocked together, side by side as they played jazz, rock and country songs on their instruments.. people danced around them, the drinks kept pouring and people were just kicking back to enjoy themselves. after all, once this night ended, all the seniors would be burying themselves away for the next three months. and as more musicians came to join them, the party started to get better and better. lewis even found time for a quick dance with his own love. it was so fun, it was as if time wasnt passing at all.. and so they suavely moved around the floors. and got more provocative as the night went on, and as the alcohol started to settle in their systems.. it was such a romantic night. lewis hadnt a care in the world. maybe his secrets could wait until a better time. it certainly wasnt now. there was too much love in the air. and love was able to conquer all demons.. and so the morning came, after hours of drinking and dancing, the two loved up college guys, thought they still had it in them to party on hard.
but they certainly didnt! but lewis couldn't sleep much anyway, he was far too hungover to
he rose up, bleary eyed, his makeup removed before he slept. the rain had washed away the stains of the previous days, and brought with a beautiful morning. lewis sat there, just staring at the landmarks of EdenFalls University.
he couldn't believe their time together was now running out. it was hours until his uninterrupted thoughts were pushed out of his mind as a heavy sleeper finally madeh is way out of the bed.
'there you are my handsome guy!' said tye, as he wiped his eye.
'hehe, you found me then.. yeah thought i would sit and watch the campus come ALIVE!' said lewis in a mock-scary voice. tye just laughed.
'well silly boy, you should of woke me' he said as he kissed him on the cheek and sat down on the bench with him.
they sat there and chatted for a while until lewis noticed something strange. he couldnt help but laugh.
'tye, babey.. why are you out here in your pants...' as he stared at him, trying not to giggle.
tye threw his arms in the air pretending to be shocked.
'huh! well i be damned. i am out here in my pants. why dont you stop looking at me then. or do you just love it!' his voice raised abit as he grabbed for lewis.
they played around on the balcony for a while, and as lewis got up to go inside, tye grabbed him one last time, into a deep meaningful hug.
'whats that for?' lewis asked suprised.
'i dunno, i just love you' he said as he smiled without one doubt in his mind.
and as spring left them, and summer took them. the months really buckled down, tantrums were thrown, and paper flew in all angles. tye was still working on some of his theory work. and lewis spent hours researching authors of certain works, and studying analytical texts. lewis found it the most exciting feeling possible. and many nights were spent in the kitchen, sitting at the table together until midnight, just writing up on their final assignments. it was romantic.. in a college love tale way! and so their night times when they were free were spent expressing their feelings for eachother. they had a dream life together. and they didnt care who could see the months were nearing to the exam time. and lewis knew that exercise was something that could keep him occupied. he spent these hours, thinking of what his life would be like. he knew one day he would like to write a book, so he would imagine his ideas and thoughts, he just smiled as he treked away. so when the morning off the final exam came, lewis sat out on his balcony looking outside. this would be one of the last days he would spend on this cmapus. after this, he would be leaving and moving to the city of belladonna cove. he had already sorted out a beautiful apartment there, on the hills. it wasn't massive, but it was good enough until he found a job and a house big enough for him and tye.
he had been seretly looking into buying the old derelict abbey in EdenFalls, hissolicitors were working on sealing the deal. he hadn't told tye, because it was going to be his wedding gift to him.
and as the time came for them, they ran to the quad, to get ready and be lead to the examination halls. lewis got home first, having passed his whole 4 years on a GPA of 4.0 he recieved the highest honour. he saw tye walking back to the house, and he ran outside.
'well..' he asked anxiously.
tyes solemn face turned into a huge grin.
'i passed babe. I PASSED!' he pulled lewis into a tigh hug. they couldnt believe the time had finally come. they were ready to leave tomorrow. but it wasn't without one last look at the campus.
so tye drove them to the quad as their first stop. they many many times here sitting on the green just talking about what they wanted to do when they left. sp they relived them times whilst grabbing a nice cup of coffee. after they headed to chesnut park, where they went fishing. it was so fun to stand there and unwind lewis caught a gigantic fish, comapared to tyes patheticly small one! then as the evening started to fall, they headed for one last social at the Student Union, where they played and hustled on the pool tables. even the professors joined in! and lewis thought it would be fun to spike the college fountain one last time. he's professor somehow, wasn't amused. lewis decided it was time to leave now! and then as the last rays of sunlight finally left the skies, lewis and tye went to their one special place. they hadnt been here for a while. after all the commotion and drama they had endured in the last three years, it had been a while since they were able to come take some time out here. so they enjoyd the views of the campus for one last time.. 'lewis, i really do love you. can you believe we are leaving here tomorrow!' asked tye so sweetly.
'i know.' said lewis as he kissed his forhead.
'i know, time certainly flies. soon we will be married, with children, and we will be even happier, and we wil be sending them off to university' lewis loved picturing their future together. he was just dying to tell tye about the abbey.
but for now they spent hours in eachothers arms, just watching the sky.
for in the morning, their lives would be packed onto the back of a truck, and their cars, and they would drive away forever.
and when moving day finally came for them, the mornign flew by and by midday when lewis returned from the new apartment, to pick up the last few things, he was astonished to finally see it bare again. he walked into the echo filled living area, and saw his old friend, and butler, still cleaning as ever. he always left the kitchen sparkling. he had been with lewis through the thick and thin, from the departure of olivia, to the fire that destroyed their lives and the loss of a dear friend. 'here, i want you to have this' lewis said as he handed him a generous some of money.
'but, i can't, i only did my job, i, i ca-' he stuttered. but lewis stopped him short.
'i want you to, you deserve it all, thank you for being our rock.
they shook hands in the most formal of manners, as they smiled at eachother, but lewis couldn't help himself. as he hugged him tightly,
'thank you for being there when we needed you. i hope you find someone to serve as great as you did us. good luck my friend' said lewis as tears fell.
'i wish you the best of luck, i hope you find everything you need' and with that they smiled and parted ways.
so lewis stood there in his now empty house. it felt so weird, although the house had changed alot since he first moved here, he could still picture everything in there. the days with olivia talking about the new college men, and with tye as they sat watching scary movies. with jane, as they talked about their favourite authors. lewis smiled and went to check upstairs for any remaing things. and he found to his suprise, tye upstairs, looking out their window.
they hugged sweetly.
'so here it is babey' said lewis glady as they held on tight.
'here it is...' tye replied, he sounded both sad and relieved.
and they stood there for minutes just hugging. until finally it was time to leave there for good.
as a gift to the university, lewis' family left the house to the university to make into a new greek house, lewis was told that it would be named in his families honour. but lewis had a better idea.
he wanted it named in memory of Jane Stacks.
and as he glanced up just one more time, looking through the bare windows. he still gleamed.
so here starts our new journey he thought.
amd as the few drops of rain started to fall onto the sky, they drove away to the city, to start their next chapter in life. but what a rollercoaster it would be. it would become much mroe rockier than they believed! thank you for reading part 4 of my piece. as i said before i am very sorry for its lateness, but i will be continuing to write these, i loved this piece so much and cant wait to start on part 5. i hope you will be with me to read it.
many thanks, and please comment and rate, and let me know what you thought.
