Too young to really comprend how her parents lives ended so suddenly. All Blue knew was that her parents left her with a babysitter and never returned. She wondered why everyone was saying that her parents were gone! She saw them laying in those boxes before they closed the lids and buried them. They were not gone, they were right here in the cold dark ground! What did it mean, they were in a better place? How was this better than the house they once lived in? Who would take care of her now? There were no relatives, all they had were each other. The eight year old struggled to wrap her mind around all this. Knowing she would never see them again filled her with sadness and rage. The next three years Blue was in and out of foster homes. All the couples returning her to the orphanage had similar excuses as to why they could no longer keep her. "She didn't get along with our other children!" "She was always getting into trouble at school!" "She didn't listen to us!" "She was too difficult!" After a few months they all gave up on her. Everyone, that is , until she was placed with Jet and Austin DeLuca. Blue was a hand full. She barely spoke to them no matter how hard they tried. Yet they were patient with her. She came home on more than one ocassion bruised and suspended from riding the bus because of fighting. Austin would clean up her cuts and ground her. Jet would ask for every detail of the fight and teach her how to defend herself better. She got into Jet's art supplies and painted a wall in her room. Austin took her allowance until she paid for all the paint she had used. Jet encouraged her talents and gave her a better format to display them. She spent most of her time grounded, staring out her bedroom window at the bridge that connected the small town of Hope to the rest of the world, wondering how much more Austin and Jet would put up with before sending her back to the orphanage. The weeks with them quickly turned into months, the months into years and Blue began to let her guard down and bond with the two men that wanted to adopt her. She visited her parents grave looking for answers, for a sign that it was ok to feel something other than the anger and sadness she had been carring with her for years. The day before the start of high school, Blue celebrated her fifthteenth birthday and the finalization of her adoption. She would be starting school as Blue DeLuca, no longer feeling the need to beat up every one that made fun of her for being the poor little orphan girl. Before blowing our her candles she thought to herself she had nothing to wish for. She already received every thing she wanted. She had two loving fathers in.... Austin the musican, the teacher..... the disciplinarian who always knew the right thing to say. and in Jet the artist, the mechanic.... the tough guy with a soft side when it came to Blue. "Dad, Papa." She began looking from Austin then to Jet , "thank you for the best birthday ever. I love you both so much." Blue went back to stuffing her mouth with cake after she spoke the words but Austin turned away to keep her from seeing the tears forming. Jet stared at her in shock, disbelief and pride. She had called them by something other than their first name for the first time in four years. They had finally became a family. Life for Blue could only get better..........but would it?

I know a friend of me, but it ended with a disaster. this days i have no contact with her. But i know this.. Life is not a dance on roses. ( Or what you English people says.)

Keep it coming and keep up the good work! \:D

Really well done. The characters jump right out of the screen. Jet and Austin, and of course, Blue -- have to say I adore that name.

Your shots are beautiful. Carefully composed, beautiful landscaping, interior shots are perfect. Thank you for sharing this!

How awesome the way you captured the foster parents expressions in the begining! I absolutely admire the tough love Jet and Austin gave to Blue...how they stuck with her through her tirades. A beautiful and emotional start.\:wub\:
