The "Little House" in question is Laura Ingalls Wilder's little house in Mansfield, Missouri. I've been a lifelong fan of Laura's books and during a wonderful road trip with my two American friends, I was able to make a pilgrimage to Rocky Ridge Farm. I'm a chartered librarian in a further education college in the north east of England, close by the North sea. I play the Sims in much the same way I used to play with my Sindy house.
My approach to lot design is a little different. (1) I have a decent spec PC but my play is really slowed down by larger lots and complex houses. (2) I observed my Sims' behaviour, finding they love lots of light, bathrooms, swings and telescopes. Everything else is negotiable! So my houses tend to be small, practical and playable, making for happy, comfortable Sims.
