Hello and welcome to the next part of My College Days! If you haven't read the other parts than I suggest that you do so. After I woke, I looked up to see Danny staring down at me. "Morning Jen, Do you want me to drive you back to your dorm?" "Umm....yeah, thanks." I didn't really want to go back home and face James and Courtney, but I figured that I would have to eventually and I might as well get it over with now. "Okay, Why don't you go get changed and I'll meet you outside." I did as Danny said and got changed then headed out to his car. We drove for a couple hours to get back home. I guess I didn't realize how far away we really were considering I thought we would be back in about ten minutes. When we arrived Danny told me to keep in touch with him and then gave me a kiss goodbye. And I didn't notice that James was standing right behind me. When Danny left I turned around to see James crying.
He then said in his sweet voice, "Jennifer, baby, why are you doing this to me?"
"Why am I doing this to YOU! Your the one who cheated on me James, your the one who was with Courtney the other night."
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't play dumb, I saw you myself." "Okay, alright Jennifer, I did cheat on you. And I'm sorry, I'm so very sorry. I never wanted to hurt you, it's just that Courtney came to me and--"
"James, don't blame this all on Courtney."
"But Jennifer..." He took my hand and kissed it, "I want us to be together."
I quickly pulled my hand away, "I wanted that too, but not anymore." I turned my back away from him fearing that if I looked him in the eyes I would burst out in tears. He meant so much to me but I couldn't be with him anymore, I couldn't do that to myself. Just then Courtney slowly approched us. I was about to start screaming at her but then I noticed Thomas was there as well, so I stopped myself. I for one didn't want to be the one to tell him his girlfriend was cheating on him.
"Courtney, aren't you gonna tell them?" Thomas asked.
"Umm...yeah, of course......" I was furious at Courtney and couldn't bare to even stand next to her so I was about to walk away. But then I heard Courtney's words, "Me and Thomas are getting married...Isn't that great?" I couldn't believe it. I felt myself getting madder and madder every second. How in the world could she accept his proposal without even telling him what happened between her and James? She's unbelievable. I told Courtney that I needed to talk to her right away and she followed me into her dorm room. I immediatly got straight to the point, "Courtney, how in the world do you expect to get away with this? Are you even ever going to tell Thomas at all?"
Courtney ignored the question and said, "Jennifer, I need to tell you something. The guy I cheated on Tommy with was--"
"James, I know."
"What? How did you--? When did you--?"
"The other day. I saw you two kissing." Simutaniously we both burst into tears. "Im so sorry Jennifer, I didn't mean to, It's just that, well, Your...my....best.....friend." She paused between her words sobbing crazily.
"It's okay Courtney. As hard as this will be for me to get over I still want to be friends, I don't want to let some guy get in the way of our friendship."
We were both silent for a moment, that is untill Thomas walked in. Thomas was shocked, "Girls, why are you crying? Is everything alright?"
"No, no everything's not alright. Jennifer, can you excuse us for a moment?" Courtney asked.
I left the room slowly, 'accendently' overhearing their conversation. I heard mostly everything. I heard Courtney tell Thomas she was cheating on him. I heard Courtney saying how much she still loved him. And I heard Thomas trying to fight back tears and losing. After leaving Courtney and Thomas alone I decided to go back to my bedroom. I sat down and got ready for bed while listening to some music. I figured it would help to calm me down. I've been through alot today and I needed some down time. It worked well because I peacefully fell asleep in no time. Today was a nightmare and I just knew that tomorrow would be, HAD to be, better......... but I was wrong. (I love this picture. Look how pretty Courtney looks!). I hope that you enjoyed the story! Please comment and thank you again!!
