Not long after their surprise wedding, Rod and Desiree were off for their honeymoon.

Not long after their surprise wedding, Rod and Desiree were off for their honeymoon. Desiree was beside herself with joy. Not only had she found someone she wants to grow old with, but he absolutely adored her and treated her with such reverence and adoration - exactly the words her Daddy used to describe the man that deserved her.

"Oh Daddy, you would love him too. I just know you would." she whispered.

And in that moment, she heard a faint whisper. "I do my darling. I do." The plane ride didn't take long and the newlyweds were finally at their destination. And like usual, they couldn't get enough of each other. Desiree had a hard enough time checking in! They were both exhausted, so instead of checking out the sights they spent some time in bed together.. And fell asleep in each other's arms. As Desiree awoke a few hours later, she held Rodney and recalled the last few days. She was overcome with such happiness and love for the man she was holding that she almost cried. Almost.

"No more tears", she said to herself. Soon after, they were both awake and out of bed.. And..why did they even bother? "Shall we go and say hello to some people?" Rodney asked.

"Not yet, baby. I want to enjoy you, keep you to myself, just a little while longer." They talked about the weather.. Their engagement and wedding.

Rodney told Desiree of his first marriage and how Amelia had been struck and killed by a bolt of lightning.

 They talked about the weather some more.. ..and many other things. They cuddled some more too. The more Desiree got to know about Rodney, the more she wanted to know.

The more time she spent with him, the closer to him she felt. And of course, as usual, there was this. Lots of this. Okay you two, enough already. "Oh Rodney, you make me so happy I can hardly contain it."

"My Darling, I have never been happier. You complete me." Rodney replied. Not long after, Desiree decided to relax in the tub so Rodney made a few calls. The first call.. ..was too his real estate agent, George Frye.

"Hi George. Yes, I'm fine thank you. Remember that two story on main street? Yes, that one. I'll take it." Later that evening Rod and Des decided to meet some people and spent some time in the hot springs... Before retiring for the night. ....eventually.

They had to get back tomorrow, as they both needed to get back to work, so they made it an early night. Sort of. They checked out early the next day, Desiree unknowingly about to have her life changed forever.
