This is a brand new series I am making that I hope you will enjoy! PLease, read on. My name is Edith Pitstop. I live in the suburbs, I'm nearly 18, about to finish school and I'm the most perfect girl you will ever meet. Period. Good Fashion formulates a perfect image. Everything I own is designer, neat, and of course, perfect. I'm incredibly famous for my long blonde hair. Nobody knows that it is died, so keep your mouth shut darlings! My Image is well polished and even if I do say myself, I'm the envy of the town. So there you have it, I'm young, I'm rich, I'm beautful and I'm letting you into the chapters of my perfect life. So why don't i start by telling you where i get it all from. My Father; Jerome Pitstop. Don't ask me where his money comes from, I hardly talk to my Father to be honest. But, I know without him, or his income to be exact, my life would not be worth living. My Mother, Ivanna Pitstop. My Father picked her up in some exotic island and she's loved him ever since, or she's been in love with his money rather. Its a good shot of her, hides the wrinkles she never had when she was a model. Here's my best friend, Tabitha Roswell. She is almost as perfect as me, yet she isn't. We walk to school each day, we work out together and we party together. What more could I wan't in a best friend? My school, home to the education of elite children of high earners. I rule the school, everybody looks up to me and wishes they were me, just the way i like it. Josh Marybend, my perfect boyfriend. Without him, I don't think my image today would be what it is. I have decided that we will get married, he's the key to carrying on my perfect world to adulthood. Josh Everad, boyfriend of Tabitha. Hes going to be the next Mayer of our suburban town. And of course this means Tabitha will be the Mayer's wife. Georgia Sparks. My arch rival. She's like a twisted versian of snow white, but, whatever, shes not me so what's there to worry about? During Madame Reynold's French lesson, Ryan passed me a scrawled note.
It said:
"I need to talk to you, meet me at homeroom in recess" I looked at him, could Ryan be popping the question? I was going to be an adult in a few days! I met him that lunch, I hid my excitement with a sultry arrogance.
"Ryan, lets talk quickly, I want to get out of this germ pool as quickly as possible!" I gushed. "I'm sorry Edith. I don't know how to tell you, but Iv'e been a little bored lately. Im going to dump you....for Georgia Sparks. I'm sorry, it's been fun though..." he told me flatly. I knew in that second that it was the end of the road. No, it's not. I have money and friends, Georgia Sparks can go to hell. I went home early and phoned Tabitha for a gym sessian at home.
"So its your party like the day after tomorow! You will be and adult...and Ryan is going to be there! Do you catch my drift?" She laughed. I got off the treadmill and I suddenly burst into sobs.
"RYAN DUMPED ME FOR GEORGIA SPARKS!" I cried.
"Oh wow," was all that Tabitha could say. "What should I do Tabby?" I wailed.
"I have to go darling, I'll see you tomorow, yar?" She mumbled. When Tabitha left i washed and changed into some comfey clothes, I heard my parents calling me from downstairs. "Sweetheart, I have got some bad news, very, very bad news," My Father told me. My Mother looked angry and blank. I just looked at him blankly, sending him a mental message to carry on. "Iv'e been stupid. I had an illegal bank account storing...embezzled money. I have been fired, most of my money has been taken...were going to have to move out. But...me and your Mother do not have enough funds to send you to university, you will have to move out on your own when you turn 18 in two days, I'm sorry." he told me. "WHAT! I will have to live in a dingy cellar with no further education on my own, how much will I get, a million? Thats hardly enough!" I shouted. "Edith! I am broke! The money you recieve will be hardly enough to cover a small car, you will have to live in a flat, get a job with what qualities you already have." My father snapped.
My life was over. I could not face going to school the next day, even though it was the last day of school for a lifetime, Tabitha called me.
"Hey Edie...is it true your like poor now?" She jabbered quickly. "Yeah, my life is totally over. But I can get a modelling job and come and live with you. I could be rich in a flash!" I said, smiling at my idea. "Errr, that's not really good on my scedule honey..." Tabitha said shiftily.
"What!! You can't put up your best friend!!??" I yelled at her. "Well Edith, were are basically adults. Your poor, boyfriendless and getting a bit fat. I'm good friends with Georgia now. She and I are both going to Yale, and now your not so i guess this is goodbye..." Tabitha said to me, now my life really was over. My birthday came the next day. Usually I was showered with attention and gifts. This time, even though it was my biggest birthday yet, I had nothing. I locked myself in my walk in closet to grow up alone. As soon as I grew into an adult, I slipped into my Mother's most expensive mink coat and bundeld the small amount of money left in the family safe into a Coach handbag and ran out into the darkening sky. Where would I end up? Would I ever be happy?
