Hey there, and welcome to the eleventh edition of Extreme Sim Homemakeover! Today we're here with the Hunter family! Jacob and Anne currently have two children, and are expecting their third child soon. The problem is, they don't have much extra room, but don't have enough money to move to a larger house. So, we're here to help them! Let's meet the family first and see what they would like done. Here's the loving couple Anne and Jacob... ...and their two kids, Zack and Penny. Now that we've introduced the family, let's see what they would like done to their house.

Anne: Well, besides an extra bedroom, we would really like it if we didn't have to go outside to get into the master bedroom upstairs.

Jacob: I second that. I would like to see the kitchen made a more central room. I like the U-shaped design of the house, but I think the kitchen would be much better towards the center rather than the dining room.

Anne: That's a great idea. We could also use a master bathroom, since the upstairs is only one room, which is our bedroom, and we have to come all the way downstairs to use the bathroom.

Host: Is there anything else you would really like to see done to your home?

Anne: I can't think of anything, what about you, Jacob?

Jacob: I can't think of anything else either. I'd like to be suprised a bit.

Host: Now that that's settled, it's time to get you all out of the house! Pack of your most precious belongings, and get heading out so we can begin!
Off the family goes! Now we can begin work! One of our goals is to keep a central garden, but redesign it a bit. The dining room, which is the entrance to the house, will be expanded out a bit into the present garden to become the new kitchen. Now, let's get to tearing down the garden and some walls! The first task is now complete. The garden is gone, and the front wall is down with some temporary support beams in place. Now, the new wall will be laid out for the entrance/kitchen. The new front won't be expanded out much, but the addition of diagonal walls create a more interesting appearence for the front. Besides adding on in the front, a major addition will be installed in the back. All of the children's bedrooms will be moved back here, as well as an enclosed staircase to the upstairs. The master bedroom will be renovated slightly, but a master bathroom will be attached to it. Here is where the new addition will go. Inside on the bedroom wing, all the furniture will be removed and the walls will be torn out. The demo is moving along quickly, and what a mess we are creating in the process! Instead of destroying the old cabinetry in the kitchen, it will be sold off for charity. The old appliances, however, will be recycled. The kitchen has been completely demolished. The new front wall is going up quickly now! ...and the back addition is going up quickly as well! Inside towards the back of the house, the old staircase has been torn down so the back walls can be torn down to make room for the addition. This addition adds a lot more room to the house for sure! The addition out front looks great so far! What a difference diagonal walls can make! With all the new downtairs exterior walls up, it's time to begin interior construction. First off is the kitchen. The kitchen is defintely far bigger than the original. With all the work out front, we forgot to mention that the upstairs addition has been put up finally! All that's left there is to extend the roof. With all the work on the bedroom wing and the additions, the living room and office side of the house has been almost completely ignored. However, this will change. By eliminating this extra bathroom, the hallway can be torn out, and the office and living room can be expanded into bigger rooms. With two children and a third on the way, a large living room will be a great place for the family to spend time together and for a place for the children to play. With the bedrooms moved out of this part of the house, part of it has been converted into a dining room, and the other, much larger room, will be made into a sun room/solarium. Some new greenhouse windows and roofing will be installed here. With the center garden being shrunk outside, some of the gardens can be moved inside now! Back upstairs, the master bedroom has been extended a bit, and a large master bathroom is being installed. Downstairs in the kitchen, the new flooring has been installed, and nice dark stone tiling. With the floors down, the counters and appliances have been installed. A nice butcher's block top island has also been installed. The island will be a great place for the kids to eat at before heading off to school. In the living room, the carpet has been installed and the walls have been painted. All that's left to do is bring in all the furniture in here. Over in the office, a nice light hardwood floor has been installed with a simple tan wallpaper. A similar hardwood floor has been installed in the dining room, with a simplistic redish wallpaper. In the large addition of the back, another type of hardwood floor has been installed, but these walls have been painted for a clean new look. In the brand new downstairs bathroom, stone tile for the flooring has been installed, a tub/shower combo has been installed as well. A nice white carpet has been laid down in each of the chilrdren's bedrooms, and the walls have been painted a creamy/off white color with wood paneling around the bottom. Upstairs, a tan colored carpet replaces the old stone tiling in the master bedroom, and a light colored wood paneling has been put up. In the large master bathroom, some counters have been installed for plenty of storage, as well as a new corner shower. The last room to have any work done is in the new solarium/greenhouse. A fancy stone floor has been installed in one half of the room, and the other half is left with open dirt for planting the new garden. The last bit of construction left to be done is the siding and outdoor landscaping. Gray bricks have been installed on the upper level of the house and the downstairs new front wall. Siding has been installed on the rest of the house. Outside, the landscapping is done. Now, it's time to bring in all the furniture, and then the house will be done at last! Here is the finished kitchen... ...the finished living room... ...followed by the finished office... ...and the three new bedrooms. We left it up to the family to decide what to place in these rooms. Now, the brand new cozy dining room, large enough to host a small party... ...and the new master bedroom, which includes a new wall TV for mom and dad to watch while the kids are to bed. And the best for last, the new greenhouse/sunroom/solarium. We planted a fruit bearing tree, and laid out plots for them to plant fruits and veggies. The house is now done, so it's time to bring the family home to see their reaction. Anne: The house looks absolutely amazing! It's so beautiful. I love how large it is, I love the landscaping, I just love everything!

Jacob: I cannot believe how much work you guys did transforming the old house into this! It looks like a whole new house! Thanks so much for everything!

Well, that concludes another epsidoe of Extreme Sim Homemakeover! Thanks for reading, and Happy Simming!
