Welcome to Part 2 of Episode 8 of Extreme Sim Homemakeover! In the last part, we introduced the couple Andrew and Karen, who are expecting their first child, and part of the house they were restoring was destroyed. The last part of this episode with us recieving an urgent phone call from a relative of Andrew's.

Now, for Part 2.
The new foundation in the front had just been finished up when we recieved an urgent phone call with both good and bad news... ...first the good news. Karen had a healthy baby boy named Martin a few weeks early. Both her and the baby are doing well. But, a few days before Andrew broke his leg and arm. Back at the house, the walls are going up in the front... ...and the front porch is being torn down. The house looks completely different without the front porch. A new porch has been built. But, we discovered a problem with the roof... ...the roof was worn with age and needed to be repaired. After the last rain storm, the old upstairs flooded. After a lot of work, the new roof is finally complete! Work must continue once again inside. The task here is to tear down all of these walls and create a new layout. This area will be the new living room. And a play room will be built over here. The living room is moving along well. Next to the new playroom, a small bathroom has been added. This leaves the rest of the area to be the kitchen and dining room. Upstairs... this area now will be large enough to create a master bedroom/bathroom, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Here is the new upstairs floor plan. At the very front of the house is the master bedroom. A door will be added leading out the the upstairs front porch. Back downstairs, the front door has been replaced... The new windows have been installed in the living room. Back in the basement, the sheetrock has been placed over the brick wall. In the kitchen, the counters have been installed, as well as the appliances. Downstairs, the bathroom is nearly complete... ...and so is the upstairs bathroom... ...and the master bathroom. While all the plumbing was being installed, the wood floor in the entrance and carpeting in the living room have been installed. The tiles in the kitchen have been installed. Back in the living room, the walls have been painted, and some nice plants have been placed in the bay window. In the kitchen, the dining table has been brought in. Upstairs, the master bedroom has been finished. Martin's room is now finished. There's not much in there for now though. The office is finished as well, and it will the perfect quite place to get work done or just a comfy place to read. The living room is complete, which means only one room left- the play room. The playroom is complete! The interior is finished, and now its time to work on the exterior and landscaping. A faux stone siding has been placed around the foundation. The next choice to make is what to use for the siding. After a long selection process, we have narrowed down the exterior to one of these three sidings. The crew has been leaning towards the yellow siding. The siding is going up well. The rest of the siding is up. Out front, some pavement has been laid. A nice hedge has been planted along the front of the house, and a couple shrubs. A couple of nice trees will be planted in the front as well. These new birch trees help make the front yard feel less bare, but they don't overcrowd the front hiding the house. A few trees have been planted in the backyard as well. All that is left is to put some grass in the yard. And with a little grass, the yard looks 100% different. It's time to bring Karen, Andrew, and baby Martin home to see how they like the house! The family returns to their new home! Here's Andrew, Karen, and Martin! And, to celebrate the birth of their son and moving into the house, we're throwing them a party!

Let's find out though what they think!
Karen: I absolutely love it! There's so much room! And I love the office!

Andrew: The master bedroom turned out great. I love all the colors in the house and the overall flow. I can't wait to have friends over now!
As the party nears the end, the Extreme Sim Homemakeover crew wishes this family the best!

That's it for this episode of Extreme Sim Homemakeover! I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Happy simming!

This is a good story! It's much better than my "Design on a Simoleon." The only thing was that when the people were saying how they liked the house, the walls were on cutaway. But that's really no big deal. Thanks for the story! \:D

Very nice job indeed and in fact I too also did a make over of this house on the same lot. I resized the home and made it bigger and kept the home the original design with a pool in the back yard connected to the house with a full size live in basement. Any way nicely done. This is also better than those home improvement shows on TV.
