Hello my friend! Thank you very much for your friendly words commenting the little corner table that was part of my very first creation. I'm very glad you like it. Have a great weekend!

About Me

Hi! Welcome to my profile.

If you are reading this, you must be very bored. I'm a rather odd person. I live on a farm in the middle of the woods with my parents, brother, four cats (my precious Miko passed away from cancer March 25, 2008), four dogs, one horse, two cows (my cow gave birth to a baby girl March 8, 2008), and a plethora of trees, bugs, and other wild creatures.
I listen to all sorts of music. I mostly enjoy the music my parents listen to, but my little brother has been introducing me to some of the more modern tunes.

I've traveled a lot; I've lived in different places in the continental US as well as Singapore and Guam (Guam IS part of the US but it's across the international dateline). I've visited Mexico, Japan, Indonesia, Saipan, Tinian, and Hawaii (I know Hawaii isn't that exotic but it's a good ways away from the continental US).

In high school I studied Asia and the Indian subcontinent, martial arts, drama/acting, chorus/singing, design (painting/batik/drawing), woodworking, electronics, and weightlifting. I also took dance, aerobics, and racket sports but I suck at them. In college I studied Computer Science, Criminal Justice, First Responder (a form of first aid that is not on the level of EMT), Japanese, and Sign Language. I've installed some hardware on computers like RAM, video cards, modems, etc. but I haven't yet installed a motherboard or anything more complex.

I used to enjoy writing and a couple of my poems were published in a book put out by my last high school. I was in the Beta Beta Xi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa in high school as well as being the parliamentarian of the Council on Post-Secondary Affairs (COPSA). I was also the student representative for the Accredidation Committee (Yes, I know Accredidation probably isn't a word, but that is what they called the committee) for a brief time.

I've always enjoyed pictures and graphics. While I suck with a camera and am not very good at drawing, I'm finding that I enjoy computer graphics. I think I'm at intermediate level now in terms of using Photoshop. I've found that Milkshape is really fun to work with and have made several meshes. (I've gotten a bit better at photography since I wrote that, but my drawing has gotten worse).
When I'm not playing on my computer or sleeping I like to watch science fiction, comedy, and mystery shows. Stargate:SG1 was my previous favorite but my current favorite is Criminal Minds.

I have a degree in Office Systems Technology (basically typing monkey stuff) although I am interested in the actual hardware that goes in to computers as well as programming.

I do have a website but it is really lame. I've only kept it the way it is as a tribute to my late friend, Mike Rehor. He helped me set the site up over 10 years ago and after his death from Muscular Dystrophy, I couldn't bring myself to change the layout or format. Part of that is because I'm too lazy to change things. (Sadly, Yahoo finally decided to do away with geocities webpages and my page is now gone).

I haven't done much lately as I've been in a slump since my father died. He was only 61 and the day he died was the worst day of my life. He was my best friend and I miss him very much.

What else? I love animals, especially cats. At one time I had 63 cats (well, I'm sure I had more but I had 63 named and then lost count after that). I used to work at the Singapore Zoological Gardens.

Oh, and I talk a LOT.
