Sorry about the delay in posting this next chapter!

Last time Annabelle discovered Arthur's awful secret... I should have felt ashamed for going through Arthur's desk, but I was so upset it didn't occur to me that what I was doing was wrong. I didn't find anything too significant. Just some bank statements, pictures, and a marriage license... Wait! A marriage license?! It seems Arthur was married to someone named Geena in a small Swiss town. That must be the woman he has kids with in Geneva. How could he marry me if he was already married to someone else? I put the license in my pocket and kept digging. Then I heard Arthur come home, so I quickly locked the desk and hid the key where I found it. I needed more time to think before I had to deal with Arthur, so I tried to run out the back door before he walked in the house. I didn't run quickly enough. At the door I heard Arthur call to me, "Hey sweetie! How was your day?"

Crap! I began to cry... "Terrible, and I think I want to go home, so please call me a cab. I'll be ready in an hour," I said without turning around. I then ran into the backyard. Arthur followed me. "What's wrong? I thought you were having a great time!"

"I was until..."

"Until what?" Arthur asked me very confused. I snapped. "Until I found out about all your other women!" I shouted, "How could you lie to me like that? Ask me to marry you?! What? Didn't you think I'd find out about your other wife? Girlfriends? KIDS?!?! How many are there anyways?" Arthur looked stunned. He was speechless for a moment. "I should have told you, I know."

I couldn't believe he admitted everything so quickly.

"But I'm not married. I thought if I told you I was divorced, you wouldn't want me." "I don't care that you're divorced, if that's even true...why would you keep the marriage license and why wouldn't you tell me you have a dozen kids with about a dozen different women?!"

Arthur seemed upset, "It sounds bad - just listen to how you're saying it!" "All you do is lie to me!" I yelled at him, "You've never really cared for me. Why do you want to marry me anyways? Why not choose one of the others?"

"Because I love you."

"So, you don't love them then, even though you have kids with them?" I asked, unconvinced.

"Well maybe at one time, but they weren't marriage material. I can't bring them to high society parties or introduce them to my clients and business associates. Plus, I know if my business goes bust you'll be able to help me. You have your own money." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was outraged. "You'll only marry me because I have money and a respectable family?! You're such a pig! I never want to see you again!" I told him before I walked to a bus station that would take me to the airport. On the long trip home, I was glad to be rid of Arthur and all of his deception. I could do much better. While I still had feelings for him, I knew I was much better off being alone. At least I hadn't married him! When I got back home, Arthur had left 18 messages on my machine. I deleted all of them without listening to a single one. If he had wanted to keep me he would have followed me to the airport, like in the movies, I thought dreamily. I spent the next 48 hrs. avoiding Arthur, being happy to be single again. I didn't miss him one bit, that is until I started getting really sick in the mornings. Yep, just my luck. I was pregnant with Arthur's child. A part of me wanted to call him, work things out, and be a family together. Another part of me didn't even want to see Arthur's face again. I was really scared to have a child all by myself and I didn't know what to do... Does Annabelle call Arthur? Do they get back together? Will there be a happily-ever-after for Annabelle?
