After I installed the Ikea Stuff Pack the custom content downloads I had wouldn't show up in my game. The downloads are in my "Downloads" folder as they have been before and show up in SimCat 2 but just not in my game! The collections folders I made are still in the game but are just empty. Anybody else have this problem with the Ikea pack or any other pack? Thanks!

Not with Ikea, but with freetime. Had to move all my cc downloads out of folder, uninstall Freetime, Reinstall Freetime and move CC back in. Before you do that, try quitting your game and running Bodyshop. You dont have to build anything just run it and try your game again. And make sure you have enable Custom content ticked when the game starts up, exit and start again.

I wish a few of the items had a little more color options (although Im sure the recolors will be coming) but I really like the contents of this one.

Installing IKEA made most of my custom content disappear also. Any body shop things (hairs, clothes, etc...) still showed up, but no objects or object recolors. As much as I wanted to use IKEA stuff, I had to uninstall it and FreeTime, and reinstall FreeTime. I really want to use this pack, but not if it's going to cause problems like that. I also had this problem with the second version of the FreeTime patch. It probably has nothing to do with it, but I'm wondering if that version of SecuRom is causing my game to be stupid.

It's not too bad, but it is worth noting that it resets most of the options I have saved in FreeTime.

I've always had the problem of CC not showing up ever sense uni What I do is I take my downloads folder and put it on my desktop and then install the game, I put my CC back and open the game and go in and enable cc and cut the game off then I go in my download folder and remove two or more items and put them on the desktop after that i put them back in. Cut the game on and everything shows up. I know thats alot but it works for me.

The same thing happened to me when I installed IKEA, but it was only because CC was disabled, NOT removed. Go to your options and enable CC and restart your game.

Thats soo cool

I tried both enabling/disabling CC and the body shop trick... As I said, it's not like no custom content worked. The skins, hair, clothes, etc... worked fine, it was just all the objects, object recolors, and hacks that went kaboom. I haven't found a solution and will sadly not be installing this pack or the securom FreeTime patch until I do Really a shame. I love the stuff and don't enjoy paying for something I'm not going to use.

I've just installed this pack but haven't yet played it. Fingers crossed! Remember it wouldn't be a Sims 2 expansion pack if it didn't have glitches!!!

Yeah soo cool

Hi, for those people suffering problems with Custom Content after installing the stuff pack, be aware this is what is SUPPOSED to happen. Sims 2 turns off all custom content by default when you install either an expansion or stuff pack which is why we advise people to remove their Downloads folder before installing and then re-enabling their custom content options prior to putting the folder back in.

My custom content objects won't show up either. I do have custom clothes, skins, etc and recolored Maxis objects, but no custom ones. This hasn't happened for me before and it is very frustrating.

I really want this pack, but now hearing about the problems I'm back on the fence... however I know I'll probably cave by the end of the week and buy it anyways
On Jul 18, 2008 LD202 wrote:
all the pack i had to enable my cc afterward it took two time of going in sims and then leaving after the second time the cc were there. this is much easyer then taking out the cc from the game and then reloading it.

I'm still a little perplexed as to why only two Swedish companies (H&M and IKEA) have been involved in expansion packs. What's so special about Sweden?

Umm, I'm not saying this cuz I am Swedish, but IKEA [Eeekea] provides HIGH quality furniture for very descent pricing, and is popular worldwide. Not to mention they make really cool looking stuff, EA saw good quality (Maybe after someone there actually bought some RL stuff from them, and wanted our sims to have them too lol) Check out Ikea's online store www.ikea.com
