Posted by cadiva on Sep 14, 2008• Good news for gardeners and builders

EA have confirmed what has been rumoured for a while. The next Stuff Pack will be aimed at builders and is going to be Mansions and Gardens Stuff.

Design impressive estates and meticulous gardens for your Sims with three all-new architectural styles. With a host of new architectural and landscaping items to choose from, your Sims mansions will look more stunning than ever.

There's a brief teaser for the pack on the front page of the official Sims 2 website and four screenshots.

The information can be found here. Here's one of the screen shots.

Yay!! I like how building themes will now reflect a lot of decorative item themes. And btw---I seriously love the fairy statue!! (^_^)V!

OMG! A FAIRY STATUE!!! Hooray for fairies! I'm so glad that EA is giving us another pack. My PC won't be able to run TS3 because it barely handles TS2 but at least they're givin us another one. Thank you so much for letting us know about it!

Yes! Yes! Yes! Another Sims 2 stuff pack! YES!!! And I thought all of the Sims 2 stuff that was ever going to be released had been. Far as I am concerned they can keep putting them out there and I'll buy them! Love adding new stuff to my game! Thanks so much for the heads up...I'll be waiting for it!

Long overdue flowers and build items, of course cash in on it EA.

I'm useless at building. And my sims' gardens are overrun with weeds. People on here will build houses using the new items though and unless you've got this pack you won't be able to download them.

I was reading about Sims 2 on Wikipedia, and noticed Mansion and Garden stuff and was... intrigued. I'm so glad, I've been waiting for proper garden stuff to make my houses better. I don't like having to download plants that should really already be in the game!

I'm excited about this one too. I know I can get loads of wonderful custom plants and trees and such, but as a builder I find that using a lot of CC gets in the way of folks wanting to download my creations. I'm looking forward to seeing what all this SP offers.

I love the building styles that the new mini EP will have, but the plants and trees are what I've really been wanting. I love to decorate my Sims homes with alot of gardens, and this will help give us all a bit more variety. Thanks for the info.

Did anybody saw the staircase. It's not the spiral from AL, it's straight on top and get a slightly turn in the bottom. I love it. It looks way better than the AL one.

Love how it looks, but how many of us will be able to run it on our current systems? I can't build, much less run mansions on my current system, so unless I upgrade, I don't think I'll be able to buy it until then, and by then I'll be looking more towards TS3 (yay!) anyways. Too bad

kidnumber48 - Stuff Pack items don't affect you being able to download lots. You simply won't have the necessary objects or walls/floors in the house but it will be playable. It is only EPs that affect whether or not you can download and use a lot file.

Ehhh... EA always makes ugly, weird, or cheesy objects. They should hire all the FA's here and have them teach EA a few things on making GOOD objects.

looking forward to this one. I may be one of the only people out there that actually like the stuff packs. I have all except the holiday stuff pack. This means that I can keep my downloads even more cleaner. I like having proper Sims2 items in game rather than heaps of downloads. Can't wait to start designing better gardens for my simmies.

It's about time!!! I need a lot more windows, doors, staircases and fences!!! And plants as well! There aren't enough Maxis shrubs/bushes and flowers (like single ones) to use--would like some non square or 45 degree angle plotted flowers--they're too organized on the lots when placed...
