Hey! How have you been? Things haven't been all that interesting here lately. But if you'd like to hear about it, please sit back and get comfy. I guess I'll start back a month or so ago. I woke up early one morning to get ready for work. It was a bit chilly in the house so after I got dressed I walked downstairs to turn up the heat. It was storming pretty bad outside and it was hailing. I walked over to the thermostat only to see that it wasn't working as well as it should. I made a mental note to say something to Mr. McFayden about it. I went back upstairs to check on Elle. She told me she wasn't feeling all that well. Not wanting to leave her alone while I was at work I called Jaq and asked her to sit with her. Jaq agreed and was at my house thirty minutes later. While Elle was downstairs making her breakfast Jaq told me she had a great idea. She told me she wanted to suprise Elle and set her up a little nursery in her room. I thought it was a great idea. I went to work and when I came home Jaq was upstairs putting a crib together. I asked her where Elle was and she told me Sam had came by and took her to the movies and out to eat.

Elle and Sam were getting really close, it was so sweet.

I quickly kicked off my shoes and started helping Jaq with the crib assembly.
Later that night when Sam returned with Elle we had the crib and changing table together and ready. Elle was so surprised she cried! After Elle dried her tears and her clothes we packed up in the car and went to see Uncle Davin. We showed off Elle like she was the cutest thing ever! Deanna fussed over her so much! She was constantly offering Elle something to eat and even made Uncle Davin get out of his comfy recliner in the living room so Elle had a nice place to sit. Elle's belly was getting so big! I told Uncle Davin how cute it was to see her wobble as she walked. And as for the boys, they are growing like weeds! Maverick Is still so lovable! And Marshall is still the Mama's boy! However, he does let me hold him now. *Dartanya smiles* They play so good together. Marshall had a hard time learning to share, but he's doing much better with it now. Uncle Davin is trying really hard to teach them how to walk. He works with them all the time! Here is a picture! Don't I have the cutest cousins ever?! When we came home that night it was chilly in the house. The heat wasn't working at all! I had forgotten to ask Mr. McFayden to come by and look at it while I was at work that day! I couldn't wait until morning, I knew Elle didn't need to be cold. I picked up the phone and dialed Mr. McFayden's cell phone number. He answered and after hearing my problem he came right over. (Not that it took long, he lives next door!) He said he couldn't fix the heat until morning, so he lit a fire and I helped Elle settle on the couch.

After Elle had fallen asleep Mr. McFayden and I walked to the kitchen to make sure the lack of heat wasn't caused by a blown breaker. We were in there about 15 mintues when we heard Elle scream!
We ran back to the living room just to see it full of smoke. The curtains had caught on fire! Mr. McFayden ran back to my kitchen sink and grabbed the fire extinquisher out from under it. He ran back to the living room and sprayed the curtains down. Elle was cheering in the background, tears streaming down her face. She was happy he put it out, but scared to death it happened. It is so hard for her to control her emotions nowadays. When Mr. McFayden got the fire under control we got Elle settled back down on the couch. Mr. Mcfayden helped me take down the damaged curtain, as well as tie back the one on the other side of the fireplace, just to be sure it didn't happen again. He got another fire lit and asked Elle how she was doing. Elle, arms spread wide, jumped up from the couch (to the best of her ability) and gave Mr. McFayden a huge hug. He was covered in soot, and Elle was now too. I walked Mr. McFayden to the door and told him thank you for all his troubles. He said it was no problem and asked again if we would come to the BBQ his sister was having the next weekend. I told him we would be delighted.

He smiled and told me to please bring Jaq and Dante as well.
Saturday arrived quickly and we met Mr. McFayden that morning and followed him to his sisters house. I was excited to meet her, and Mr. McFayden's Father. Sophia McFayden-Dasani was a beautiful woman. She married young to a man named Derrick, an aspiring surfboard engineer of whom her father didn't necessarily approve. They had a beautiful little girl named Natalie. We spent a lot of the afternoon just talking and getting to know each other.

Mr. Morgan McFayden Sr. was a kind man. He moved in with his daughter not long after his wife died. From what I understand Mr. McFayden was never really that close with his father.
I ran into Mr. McFayden as I was heading to the bathroom.

"I'm sorry Mr. McFayden, " I said as I backed up to let him pass.

He chuckled at me and said "Dartanya, you have been working for me for nearly a year. I invited you to meet my family... I think it's perfectly OK for you to drop the formalities now. Call me Morgan."

I blushed and nodded. He winked at me and walked back to the living room. I'll admit the wink caught me off guard, but I didn't really think anything of it when my tummy did a little flip-flop.
While I was in the bathroom everyone had moved out to the deck. Derrick was making hotdogs, or attempting to, as Mr. McFayden watched and chuckled under his breath. The finished product didn't look so great. Morgan laughed and said they were a bit burnt.

"They aren't burnt," Derrick argued. "They are Cajun hotdogs!"

We all laughed.
Morgan pulled some more hotdogs out and started over. Mr. McFayden called Derrick over and told him he should watch and learn. Dinner was great! I listened to many stories from Mr. McFayden about Morgan as he was growing up. With each story Morgan seemed to slide a little further down his chair. Elle was having a wonderful time. It was good for her to get out and get some sunshine and fresh air. When everyone was finished eating I helped clean up. Then we all went upstairs and Dante and Derrick kept us entertained while singing Kareoke. At sunset Sophia showed us to the guest bedroom where we could change into our bathing suits. When we were dressed Jaq mentioned that Morgan was sure looking nice in his casual attire. Elle laughed and said she wondered if the man owned a pair of jeans.

"I've never seen him in anything more casual than khakis!" Elle said, laughing.

"I bet he'd look pretty nice in a tight pair of jeans!" Jaq said.

"Jaq!" I exclaimed "That's my boss you are talking about!"

She laughed and replied, "Oh don't you even act like you haven't thought about it! I know better!"

I blushed, grabbed my towel and headed downstairs. Elle and Jaq followed giggling.
When I got back outside Sophia and Morgan were already there. I was a little shocked to see Morgan in his swimming trunks. He actually had a nice tan. We all climbed in the pool and played Marco Polo with Natalie. After a while Natalie wore herself, and us, out. We went upstairs, changed, and then came back down to talk some more. The time to leave finally came however. Everyone had such a great time and Sophia told us we were all welcome anytime. Morgan walked me to my car and thanked me for coming. I told him I had a wonderful time and that I would see him at work on Monday. He looked at me a moment and opened his mouth like he was going to say something else, but he quickly shut it , bowed slightly and told me to have a good night and a safe trip home. Well, It's getting late here and I'm going to go to bed. Work comes early in the morning. Thanks for stopping by!

As of right now part 14 is in limbo. I accidently overwrote it when I uploaded part 16. I'm currently waiting to see if it can be restored. Until then all I can do is fill you in on the important events. Dartanya and Blayne break up. Blayne moves away and Elle (friend from college years) shows up at Dartanya's doorstep. Her husband had left her when he found out she was pregnant and she needed a place to stay.
