Welcome to part 2 of the story. What has just happened? Marie's just got engaged to Phineas and they're planning their wedding as we speak. I seem to be having a lot of thoughts going through my head at the moment.
"Hi, I'm Marie," Marie said shaking the man's hand.
"Hey I'm Dylan, Phineas didn't do you justice," he said smiling.
Marie laughed happily, she liked this Dylan, he was a charmer.
"I can't wait to meet the bridesmaid, isn't it tradition for the best man and the bridesmaid to..." Dylan started laughing naughtily as Marie's face shook with laughter and shock.
"I think you two will get on just fine," Marie nodded. And that's when I saw him, my heart raced, my feet shook, I felt sick. I couldn't look at him. All I could see was him. I panicked. I thought I was going to fall over in my heels. God he looked just the same. Perfect. Gorgeous. Charming. He seemed to notice me and I could tell he was as shocked as I. "Hey babe," Jason waved and caught my attention. All I could do was kiss him and pray I hadn't being too obvious by staring at Dylan McBride. What you don't know about Dylan was that we used to date. By date I mean we were practically married. Dylan was from a privileged background and I was the daughter of the local Greengrocer. We met, fell in love, all at the age of 19. I thought I was going to marry this guy, but his Mother had other ideas. She made my life hell and deep down Dylan knew it. But he always stuck to how much I meant to him. I couldn't fault him. Then one day my life changed. I was 20 and found I was pregnant. I didn't know how to tell Dylan, so I dropped the idea of babies in the conversation. It was his reply that broke my heart,
"Can you imagine if we had a kid now? Life over, I don't know what we'd do. Infact I do, I'd sign my life away. A kid would ruin everything we have now, romantic meals, nights out with friends...maybe one day, but not now. I want to do so much more, you know what I mean?"
All I could manage was "Mmhmm," as I fought back tears and thought to myself "I can't ruin his life." I thought of his Mother and how she'd react to him giving up his ambition of being a Scientist. He didn't want this.
And that's how it ended. I made up the excuse of moving away to do some studying. He tried to come with me so I told him I didn't love him no more. What a lie that was. I broke his heart and he no matter how much I wanted it, he didn't stop me leaving. He believed it. So there I was, looking into his eyes when he came over later to greet me. I'd done so well to avoid him, but I knew I couldn't forever. Here was the father of my child, still as perfect and handsome as ever. My stomach fluttered with butterflies.
"Hello EllaBella," Dylan smiled softly calling me by my old nickname.
"Dylan," I said shaking, as I leaned in to kiss him.
"Wow, you look....just wow," Dylan smiled to himself, a laugh spreading across his face.
I flushed embarrassed then quickly changed the subject, "So, you're the best man?"
"Maid of honour I presume?" Dylan replied cheekily.
"Yes," I nodded wringing my hands with nerves.
"Well, I better get mingling," Dylan said finally, "Can we catch up sometime?"
"I'd like that," I admitted, I would really like that to be honest. How was he? How did he cope? Did he cry himself to sleep every night for a year after I left? Did he miss me? Was he married? Did he love anyone else? My head was full of unanswered questions.
Marie came over as soon as Dylan left and she saw my face, "Ella what's up, you ok?!"
"Oh my God Marie...oh my...Dylan...it was...Toby's dad," I managed to splutter.
"That was Dylan?!" Marie asked in disbelief, "Oh Ella, I am so sorry hunny."
"No, don't be, you never knew," I told myself logically, "It had to happen eventually."
"Sure you'll be ok?" Marie asked worried, "I can stay with you and.."
"No, don't be silly, go meet people, I am just gonna have a drink then check on Toby." "Ok hunny," Marie said hugging me before leaving me be. So I tried to calm down and had a drink of some alcohol... ...then I was drinking out the bottle. I don't really remember much of the party from there because I drank so much. I was trying to forget that my past was back to haunt me.

Loving the random guy playing with Toby in the last picture. Hopefully that won't mean something bad! This was amazing. Nicely done.

Haha! I'm just remebering something I heard on one of the best shows ever, Ace of Cakes. "Never drink boxed wine, because you will never know how much you drank until you wake up then next day."
I love the receptionist lol
