From a wealthy family, she had been shunned for expressing her dream to be a firefighter.
Her parents had been planning her medical career since she was two years old. Being a firefighter just wouldn't do, and so, Sasha had decided to take a risk and move out into the world and start an exciting new life of her own. Twinbrook was located a good three hours from her home town of Sunset Valley.
Sasha had applied to many fire stations and, although she had many offers, she decided Twinbrook would be the best option for her. Not only did it offer a job, but also a house share situation with another of the fire stations new employees.
Sasha's taxi pulled up in front of her new home. It was small, but decent looking enough. She smiled and took a quick snap of the place while butterflies began to awaken in her stomach. She had been given no indication of who her flat mate might be. She had figured it would probably be a female, considering they would be living in such close quarters, so when a young guy, shirtless and amazingly fit, came jogging over to her, she made no connection to him being her room mate, of course, it did seem a little strange to have such a hot guy randomly jogging over to her.
He held out his hand. 'I'm Zach Landon. I got here yesterday, just thought I would head out for a morning jog. You haven't been waiting long have you?' Sasha was in awe, she was barely able to shake head. 'No, I haven't been waiting long,' she whispered. He was so gorgeous - and her room mate!!
Zach motioned for her to follow him inside.
'It's not much.' He said as Sasha glanced around a small dingy lounge/dining/kitchen.
'Better than nothing.' Sasha replied, but she was having serious second thoughts to coming here now. Medical school was starting to sound pretty great. 'Come on,' Zach said suddenly. 'We should go check out the station, I didn't go there yesterday, thought I would wait for you. I didn't think you were going to be a girl.' He smiled cheekily and Sasha felt faint, but she managed a quick smile, put down her cases and they were off to see the new workplace.
The walk was pretty productive, Sasha learned she had a lot in common with Zach. They were both adventurous, athletic and brave, but he was ambitious and charismatic, where Sasha was handy and a hopeless romantic. The station was huge, they said a quick hello to the weekend staff and then did a little exploring.
There was everything here! A kitchen, toilets, showers, beds, a flat screen TV...
Sasha had her first go at using the fireman's pole, but it pulled on her thighs and she decided long pants and a little practice were a must. Zach and Sasha headed down to the basement together and found an awesome workout room. Deciding not to waste any time, they both got on a treadmill and worked away, gaining a little more fitness, ready for the first week ahead of fireman's work.
Sasha was sure to get in as many secret glances through the mirror as possible. She wondered if Zach had a girlfriend back in Riverside, where he grew up. She was a little shocked at the reaction she had to him, even if she was a hopeless romantic. After their huge workout, Zach and Sasha said goodbye to any remaining staff and went on their way. They came across a quaint diner on the way home and decided to grab some dinner. Zach hadn't gone grocery shopping as yet, so there wasn't much for eating at home.
Sasha swore she felt Zach brush her legs under the table a few too many time for it to have been by accident. Each time his skin touched hers she felt a cloud of excitement enveloping her body and she gave a stupid little smile. When they got home, Zach jumped into the shower and Sasha decided to check out the washer/dryer. She had never had to do her own laundry before. she fiddled with the knobs and suddenly a huge blast of water came out of nowhere, saturating her clothes and dripping to the floor. Sasha laughed and searched for a mop.
Zach came out of the bathroom just as she finished mopping and flicked on the TV. 'Shower is freezing!' He claimed.
Sasha had no choice, she needed a shower so she bared the freezing water. When she finished and left the bathroom, Sasha was disappointed to see that Zach had gone to bed without saying goodnight.
Sasha went to her own room, threw the wet towel onto the floor and put on some fresh underwear. Her bed was uncomfortable but it offered some much welcomed warmth.
Sasha was overwhelmed with her first day out and about all alone. She wondered if Zach liked her and dreamed of his arms wrapped around her. The next morning the two slept in. Sasha woke to Zach's alarmed face above her own. 'We're going to be late for out first day!' He screamed and frantically ran back out of the room.
Sasha jumped up and took her towel from the night before to the washer, before getting dressed. Zach came back out of his room, once again shirtless. 'Let's get going'.
They managed to pull on their overalls just as the carpool beeped outside. After saying hello to everyone and introducing themselves to anyone who hadn't been there the day before, Sasha and Zach settled in and grabbed a snack for breakfast.
Sasha found herself focusing on nothing but Zach for most of the morning, shaking herself a little every time that she realised she was staring at him again. She should be concentrating on all the important things going on around her. Being a firefighter was her dream and here she was giving it up to watch a guy! Everyone jumped when the alarms went off.
'You never get used to that noise' said Fred, one of the more experienced guys.
Sasha was finally focused completely on the job, she was psyched!
Sasha jumped into the fire truck, Zach was asked to stay at the station to learn some of the emergency procedures that were undertaken from the base. The truck sped along the roads and finally pulled up outside a smoking home.
Sasha wasn't sure if they would actually let her near the flames. She had only done a few days of training at her local station prior to moving to Twinbrook.
The chief did a quick survey of the fire and Fred and another guy, Joel, began to ready the fire hose.
The chief came back to them. 'It's only a small fire, we'll all just go in with fire extinguishers. Sasha ran in with the boys and blasted the crackling hot flames with the extinguisher. It was amazing! The feeling she had, it was pure adrenalin!
With four of them working, it took no time at all to douse the flames. Sasha felt immediate accomplishment and the chief gave her a pat on the back.
'Well done, newbie'. He said with a smile. Sasha was so excited to tell Zach all about it as soon as she got back to the station.
She raced in and...stopped dead in her tracks.
Zach was chatting to a gorgeous red haired girl. Chatting in a very intimate way. The girl had her hand on his arm!
Sasha felt cut. 'But he isn't yours to get jealous of,' she told herself. 'He can talk to whoever he likes. You've only known him a day, you freak!' Sasha took a deep breath and made her way over to the pair. Zach looked at her a little strangely but introduced her to the girl anyway. 'Sasha, this is Mila. Mila, Sasha.'
Sasha quickly shook Mila's hand and then turned to Zach. 'How was it here at the base? I'm heading off home if you're ready?'
Zach shook his head. 'I'm not going home. Mila and I thought we would get a bite to eat.' He ignored her previous question altogether and then sauntered off.
'Don't worry,' Mila said 'I'll have him back in one piece.' Sasha was pretty upset...and angry. What was Zach's problem? Why had he been so cold towards her all of a sudden?
Then she had it. He was upset because she was allowed to fight the fire, while he had to stay at the base. Big deal! Sasha would have to learn the ropes back a base eventually and Zach would be the one out fighting the fires.
Sasha had dinner alone and pondered Mila and the patronising comment she had made to Sasha, there was definitely something sly about that girl. Sasha stayed up to wait for Zach but he still wasn't home at 1pm, so Sasha went to bed.
The next morning Sasha got ready and, when she didn't hear Zach moving about the house, she went into his room to make sure he was awake. But he wasn't in his room, or the bathroom, or outside. He didn't come home last night.
Sasha went to work miserable. She had to live with a guy who hated her guts, a guy she was already having feelings for and he had no interest in reciprocating. Just her luck. Sasha worked on maintaining the fire truck and thought about her situation.
She should have stayed in Sunset Valley, maybe she would call her mother and ask if she could come back. Oh man, that would make her mum go into 'I told you so' overdrive!
Sasha couldn't bare that! Maybe she could just look for somewhere else to live?
No! She was being ridiculous. Why had she gotten so caught up in this guy so quickly? She would just have to push away her feelings. Then she heard voices. Mila and Zach were talking on the other side of the truck!
Sasha stopped her work and listened carefully.
'I had an awesome time last night.' Mila said.
'I guess.' Zach replied. 'I should have stayed at home though, and apologised to Sasha. I was pretty rude, it isn't her fault that they asked her to go.'
'I didn't mind having you over. It was my pleasure.' Mila said that with a flirtatious giggle.
So he was sorry for being rude, but he woohooed with Mila after knowing her all of five hours?
Sasha didn't have much time to think this through any further. The fire alarm sounded. The chief pointed at both Sasha and Zach. 'Cmon, both of you, this ones a little bigger than yesterday.'
Zach apologised to Sasha in the truck on the way there, taking her hand and looking into her eyes sincerely. Sasha couldn't resist and felt all her anger leave her mind. She accepted Zach's apology as they pulled up to the smoking house. They ran out together, working as a team to put out the flames.
When the fire was out, Sasha went to high five Zach but he pulled her into a hug. He had such a massive smile on his face. He was clearly completely pumped. Sasha was pumped as well. Fighting the fire, then getting a happy hug from Zach!
She told the Chief that she would walk back to the station. She just needed to calm down a bit.
She waved to Zach as the fire truck sped off down the lane. On the walk back Sasha was able to scope out the area. As she strolled past the junk yard she was shocked to see an expensive stereo. She could fix this up easily!
She called Fred at the station and asked him to come and pick her up with the ute so they could take the stereo home.
Zach and Fred pulled up a few minutes later an hauled the stereo into the back of the ute. A terrible morning had turned into a fabulous afternoon. It continued into a wonderful night. When they got home, Sasha decided to do some laundry. Clearly she put way to much powder in! She would need a serious lesson in doing the laundry.
Bubbles flew everywhere, all around the room. It was almost magical. As Sasha worked on the machine, Zach came out of the bathroom and burst into hearty laughter. 'What in the world are you doing!?!'
Sasha laughed too, 'You were in the shower, and I really needed to wash...'
'Well, maybe you should have joined me.' Zach said as he began to mop up a puddle.
Sasha couldn't tell if he was joking or not, so just brushed it off with a giggle. Sasha went into her room to change into something dry and then made her way to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Zach was in the lounge room working out, no shirt, muscles rippling. Sasha couldn't help but stare longingly.
Zach shot her another of his cheeky smiles. As Sasha chopped the vegetables for a bolognaise she decided she had made the right decision to come to Twinbrook.
Maybe Zach would be hers after all.

I'm so glad you wrote the rules of your legacy on the first page! It makes me appreciate how much harder the story is to write!
Then again, it must've kept it exciting for you since you never knew what was going to happen next. You must have a quick finger to capture every great screenshot!
Your sims look fabulous! I love Sasha's hair! Her and Zach's situation seems fun and exciting for young adults starting out on their own.
Great story!!!

A wonderful start, I really enjoyed it! Great screens too!
I wonder if Zach will make the first move or will Sash pluck up the courage herself? The shower comment was quite funny and cheeky! Off to read part 2....
