We left Isabella jobless and living in a rundown trailer. Will things get better in this chapter or worst? Hmm... I guess you'll have to read and find out. :P
Looking around her new home again she left out a sigh. "Food and sleep are just going to have to wait." She said to herself. "I need to clean this place up. Especially that bathroom." With her pregnancy she didn't have morning sickness. No, she had all day sickness and the last thing she wanted was to have her head anywhere near that toilet. The smell alone would probably kill her. She set about cleaning and luckily most of it came off, the seat was hopeless, but she bought a new one for that anyways. The shower didn't turn out as well, but it was better then nothing. She just finished in the nick of time, before the baby had her running to the toilet. She thanked god that she cleaned it now.
It was late now and she was starving and tired. So she changed into her pajamas and went to fix supper. Isabella always loved cooking. It was a good way to relieve her stress. She just took it out on the food in the bowl. That's when she thought to go to the grocery store. they didn't care about age and she was sure she would get hired. With that thought she ate her supper and went to bed with hope. She headed into the store early that morning. She came prepared and had a nice chat with the owner, only to find out that they couldn't hire anymore employees. They said that if they needed anyone that they would keep her in mind. She thanked them, but that didn't help her any. She stayed away from telling any of the places that she was pregnant, but now she was thinking that maybe she should. Maybe she could get some sympathy. Quickly she decided against that. She wasn't raised that way and most people would be thinking about the maternity leave she would need. That definitely wasn't the way to go.
She walked out with hopes shattered. Maybe she should just go home. Today she felt worse then she had any other day. Her stomach was really cramping up. She was worried something was wrong with the baby. She knew she had to start eating better and getting more sleep. Not to mention she wasn't taking her prenatal vitamins like she should be. No, she thought i'm just going to go home and get more vitamins and try to start taking care of myself better. I can do this, she reassured herself. I have a month to get a job. I have a fridge full of food and I just won't be so eager to get a job. I'll just take it in strides, she thought to herself. Most importantly she knew she had to tke better care of her baby. She got home and took it easy all day. Trying not to think much. She even called her mom, just to hang up on her. At least she heard her voice though. She laid on the couch thinking about Zac. She was wondering how he was doing, she missed him just as much as she missed her mother. She worried that he didn't miss her though.
That night she took a nice slow jog. Just to clear her mind and get her blood flowing. She felt a lot better already. Tomorrow she was also going to get help, so that she could afford doctor visit. The state had a nice plan to help out expecting single mothers. When she learned that she felt a weight lifted off her. Her baby was finally going to get what he/she needed. Even with her feeling better, she still woke up with livid nightmares. She'd been having them for weeks now. Sometimes they were about losing her baby or someone taking her baby from her. One time it was even Josh taking her baby. It always ended the same, with her alone and cold. She always woke up in a cold sweat and frantically trying to calm herself down. Even with her bad night sleep, she managed to be in good spirits when she walked into the Bistro. Right away she hit it off with the owner and she was happy to give Isabella a job. She now worked at Little Corsican Bistro. It wasn't a lot of money, but it was enough to get her by.
She walked out relieved and was so happy that she felt like jumping up down and screaming. Instead she just smiled and walked around town. She wanted to meet some of the locals. Weeks past and Isabella was now 7 weeks pregnant. The baby was healthy, but she wasn't doing well. Working long shifts at the dinner were taking a toll on her. It didn't help that the money just didn't seem to be enough. She was two weeks away from having the baby and she still didn't have a crib or anything. She was late on some bills and had a couple bounced checks. Whenever there was a knock at the door she panicked. One day Isabella was sent home from work. Her boss was worried and told her to get some rest. She protested, but gave in. It wasn't early, but it wasn't late either. She just had enough time to change into one of her maternity outfits. When someone knocked on the door. She automatically panicked and thought it was the police coming to take her in and take away her baby. She quietly tip-toed her way to the window to look out. Her heart was racing. She just saw a vehicle in her driveway. One that she never saw before. She thought it might be an undercover car or a constable. That's when she heard, "Isabella DeLacore, I know you in there. Open the door." Her heart stopped, as she froze in fear. :O Who could it be and what will happen to Isabella!? What do you think? I'll try and get the next chapter up quick.
