The Guapo family is one of a kind. Every child has such a unique personality, and style of their own, that they don't seem to come from the same family. As the name suggests, Brian is half Spanish, from his father's side. Brian had always wanted to be a firefighter, and Natalie specialized as a florist at a local boutique. The kids from left to right are: Jacob (13), Amanda (17), Peter (8), and Kelsey (16).

The Guapo family is one of a kind. Every child has such a unique personality, and style of their own, that they don't seem to come from the same family. As the name suggests, Brian is half Spanish, from his father's side. Brian had always wanted to be a firefighter, and Natalie specialized as a florist at a local boutique. The kids from left to right are: Jacob (13), Amanda (17), Peter (8), and Kelsey (16). Being a firefighter, Brian wanted a dog; and naturally it was a dalmatian! They named him Spot, classic or cliche, you make the call. Soon after, they welcomed an adopted kitten named Alegra. By now, both Amanda and Kelsey had left for college, so the house had plenty of extra room for the two new pets. By now Jacob was 17, and met Angela Pleasant, a freshman to his senior. The age difference was difficult at that age, but the two started dating and quickly became best friends. They shared an interest in the arts; Angela was a potter and painter, while Jacob loved photography. The couple quickly fell in love over the school year. They had been dating for one year and two months by fall when Jacob left for college. They made the difficult decision, despite their mutual love, to break off the relationship, and wait to see what their lives were like in three years when Angela left for University as well. If they were single, they would get together, and left fate to decide. Peter was an average, C and B student all through school. As the youngest of the family, he was the classic fun-loving jokester. Today, he turned 13 (the age I consider as the beginning of the 'teen' years), and turned into a very handsome young man. By Peter's 15th birthday, Jacob left for college, and left Peter alone as the only child left in the house. He saved up for a guitar, and became quite talented, maxing his enthusiasm for music. He took after his older brother's passion for the arts, even though it was in a slightly different area. Many years after Peter left the nest, and even after welcoming their first grandchildren (which you may read about in the stories devoted to their childrens' lives), Brian and Natalie gracefully entered the elder years. They moved into a senior community, next door to the Heires in fact, to live out the remainder of their lives. Both retired from their jobs, although Natalie never lost her love for flower arranging, and always ensured there were several vases of flowers around their rooms.

    Your story has a good hook in that I want to know what happens to Jacob and his freshman girlfriend.  Also, the musician brother is a good story start! Is there more?  I'm off to look!
