Lucy Burb is one of my favorite sim characters. I decided to do a story on her. This is just an intro. I may or may not continue this but I'll think about it. Continue>>
i can't believe my parents got a divorce the day after my birthday. i've been hearing them fight a lot, but i just assumed mom had another hard day at work and wanted to rant as usual. but>> when i came home from school one day, i saw daddy packin bags in his trunk. i asked him what was going on. is he going somewhere. "hey daddy. where you goin? got a buisness trip?" i asked.
"oh, Lucy. I was hoping to be gone when you came back so yur coldhearted mother would explain to you." he said angrily.
"what do you mean by that?" i said, shocked at him calling my mother a name.
"well, the thing is....." he said lingering.
"what dad?" i say waiting.
"your mother...." "your mother cheated on me."
i didnt know what to say. i was speechless.
"your mother told me she cheated with the neighbor Daniel Parker. do you remember him?" asked my dad.
"yeah. yeah...."
"she told me that Isaac may not be my son."
"WHAT?!"
"i know. i was shocked as well. at first i was mad, but then, i didnt care. i've been taking care of Isaac since he was brought into this world. your mother told Daniel that he's possibly the father and he ran out of town. i told her i'd be happy to take care of Isaac no matter what but....your mother is crazy. she went ballistic and told me to get out. that she wanted a divorce." "A DIVORCE?! WHY?!"
"well, Jennifer claims she saw me flirting with Brandi and that she only cheated 'cuz i cheated."
"did you?"
"did i what?"
"cheat on mom?"
"OF COURSE NOT! i would never! i love your mother. Brandi and I havent seen each other since Skip's accident and we were catching up. i gave her a hug and left the shop."
"daddy...." i said tearing up. "i know sweety, i know. your mom says she never wants to see me again. she says she's taking me to court to make me sign over my parental rights. i wont be able to see you ever again."
"NO! SHE CAN'T DO THAT!"
"your mom is a powerful woman. i dont know what i can do Lucy. i'm sorry." "no matter what happens, i'll always love you."
"but daddy!"
"listen, when you turn 18, you'll get to do whatever you want. you can come and live with me if you want."
"okay daddy. i love you too."
"i'll....see you when i see you sport."
"bye daddy." i watched my dad get in his car and drive away. how could mom do this to us? she's never even home to begin with! i cant believe her! i ran inside and called her name. "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS MOM!? WHY DID YOU KICK DAD OUT?! YOU CANT GET A DIVORCE! I LOVE MY DADDY! DID YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT ISAAC?! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HE'S GONNA GROW UP!? WITH NO FATHER, NO MOTHER! YOUR NEVER EVEN HOME MOM! YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT US!"
"FIRST OF ALL, IM YOUR MOTHER DONT COME IN HERE YELLING AT ME LIKE IM YOUNGER THAN YOU! AND SECOND, IF YOU THINK YOUR SO BAD, YOU CAN LEAVE TOO!"
"FINE! I WILL!"
"FINE!" i went upstairs to say goodbye to Isaac and pack my stuff.
"i'm so sorry Isaac. i have to go. i cant stay here with that woman."
"sissy."
"i love you Isaac. i love you so much."

I think the dad was wrong to just reveal the story in that way to his teenage daughter, now she thinks her mother is a monster. Even if it's true, he shouldn't have. And now she's having a teenage moment running out of the house!
