All My Life ~ Chapter 1

Lauren Holby is new in town, With only her bestfriend,Sarah, to show her the rope's. Turning 19, she feels single and lonely.. Will she find her soul mate? And even if she does.. Will he stick by her side?
Brown boxes covered Lauren's new, shiny kitchen floor. After hours of unpacking all her things she settled down to a good old bowl of cereal.
Lauren had left the comfort of her parents in Pleasant View to go for the city life in Kirkwood's Glen. She barely knew anyone except for her best friend Sarah who was popping round any minute.
Lauren spun around on her seat as the door bell rang and she jogged to the door.
Lauren received a friendly hug from Sarah and she motioned them to the sitting area. Lauren collapsed with a sigh.
"Well long time no see my good friend"
"I Know, your house is looking great! You did an amazing job Lauren"
"Thanks. I don't know anyone around here! What should I do?" Lauren wailed.
"Well I could invite a few people I know? I need to go to the shop first but I'll get on the phone?"
"Erm, Okay, Just don't bring any townies ha-ha" Lauren giggled.
"I can't promise that" she said with a wink and a laugh. Lauren walked her to the door and said goodbye.
Lauren rushed to her room and gussied herself up. There wasn't really anytime to get all dressed up so she slopped off to the living room and watched her new installed cable.
An hour passed and the door bell rang.
Lauren greeted all the new faces into her living room and they all sat and had a chat.
Two hot guys came in and she tried not to drool over them, she was desperate, but she wasn't going to let them know that, so she held held back.
A girl in Black And gold strutted in, crossing her arms and looking Lauren up and down as if Lauren was a threat.
Get a life she thought. It was going to be a long night.
Feeling quite bored Lauren got up and went to the kitchen and sat at the home bar.
The dark haired hottie followed her and stood behind the bar.
"Blended Or Poured?" He said coolly.
"Blended?" She said feeling awkward.
She gazed out the window trying to escape the tension. He placed the drinks next to her and offered her one.
"Want to see a trick?" He said with a smirk bending down, he picked out 3 tumblers.
"Why not" She said biting her lip, she didn't know what he was up to.
He quickly tossed one tumbler in the air, then another. He looked at her thinking he was amazing.
"Wow, Great" She said giving him a short clap and then giggled. He leaned closer to her gazing into her eyes. " That's not the only thing I can do" He said winking at her." She smiled awkwardly breaking the lock he had with her eyes by looking out the window.
It became so awkward until he broke the silence. "Think we could meet up sometime?"
"Uh.. Yeah Sure.." She said in a daze.
"Great, Here's my number" He said, quickly passing her a piece of crumpled paper. "Call Me"
He had only met her and here he was asking her to meet up and giving her his number..
It’s my lucky day She thought.
Soon everybody left as Lauren relaxed on the couch.
When should I call him? Should I even? Or is he just bad news? she thaught.
She wasn't sure what todo.. She finally came to a conclusion and went to bed to sleep on her plan.
The continuous beeping from her alarm suddenly woke her up. She jumped out of bed and got dressed quickly.. she could barely sleep that night because she couldn't stop thinking about the dark haired hottie. She eventually made her way to the phone and dialled the number on the crumpled paper, she could barely read the writing, squaring her eyes she finally made out the number. A masculine voice answered the phone. "Hello Justin Speakin' '" He said.
"Um.. Hey, It's Lauren, You were at my house yesterday?" she said. She was pretty sure a guy like him wouldn't even remember a girl like her.
"Oh Yeah Hey" He said un-enthusiastically. She felt like her hopes where up, she knew he had no interest in her.
There was an awkward silence.. There were too many of these now between them.
"Yeah, Well I wanted to ask yesterday, But.." He said trailing off..
"Yes?" She asked.
"Wanna' go out for a meal tonight at eight?"
A giant smile spread over Lauren's face, she jumped up and down with delight. It was another lucky day then.
"I mean.. As friends.. Yano'?" He said adding quickly.
"Yeah totally, Well bye" She said quickly before he could get another word in, or change his mind. Slamming down the phone she danced around the house feeling exstatic.
Lauren raced to her room. She rummaged through all her clothes. She finally found the perfect going out dress. It was a purple and black Dior dress with purple high heels. She felt like a million dollars.
She slapped on her foundation and put on her lip-gloss, trying to look her best for tonight. Her second day here and she was basically going on a date already.. A friendly date. She had to look her best.. for her friend.
When she peered at her clock, It was quarter past. Franticly she grabbed her bag and bounded to the car. She put the key in the ignition and turned it but the starter motor just clicked. The battery was dead because she had left the lights on. Great just what she needed. Justin would think she stood him up. She got out of the car and sighed. She felt a drip of water on her shoulder and started to feel worried. She held out her palms and felt the rain drizzling down for the dark, grey clouds. Why was this happening to her? First everything was going great and now, well.. It was lousy.
"Just what I need" She groaned aloud.
The only thing she could do is walk.. hopefully she got there before he left.
She knew there was a mobile signal at the brow of the hill so she trudged down the lengthily road keeping her eyes fixed on her phone reception bars. Her high heels were cutting sharply into the back of her heels more so on the right foot. Pulling roughly she removed her shoes but she was more aware of the cracks on the chilling, wet pavement and it reminded her of a childhood memory of not standing on the cracked paving slabs, she continued on down the road missing all the cracks along the way, before long she received an alert tone showing she had 3 missed calls from Justin.
She stopped and returned the call. He answered with a relieving hello and a smile spread across her face. She was eager to tell him all that had happened but before she could get one word out she turned and lost signal...
Well Thanks for reading, I hate to ask, but if you ever have the time could you give me some feedback? I don't know weather or not to continue this story.
