Sorry for the long wait, I've had some trouble trying to upload, so this part will be pretty short... and in parts, but I have got all the parts of the chapter written up, so they shouldn't take too long to copy and paste... Oh, and it may seem like a completely different story... but it's not! They will collide, and pretty soon as well. :) Enjoy!

:) Enjoy! She always knew that she was normal. But normal is not always a good thing. Normal's not good when everybody around you is special, when they can all do special things. Some of these people described it as 'magic', but when everyone can do it, it's not really. She was kidding herself saying that she was normal. They were normal, but she wasn't. Her mother walked into her room.
"Bethany! What are you doing home so early? You're supposed to be going to extra lessons."
Because they knew she was normal. How was extra lessons going to solve that? It wouldn't. It would always be, no matter how much anybody tried to deny it. Her mother was still talking.
"Well, go on then, you know how important they are!"
Reluctantly she headed toward the room in which her lessons took place, dreading them. They did nothing to help, except make her feel worse. Every step brought the door closer, each step echoing on the cold wooden floor. She clutched her books to her, taking comfort in the musty, 'old' smell that she loved so much. These were very special books to her, old textbooks, but they didn't help her much. They were just books, after all. And, too soon, she felt, she was inside and sitting down opposite her teacher. There were four chairs around the table, though she was the only student there. The others would not be filled until she had mastered the basics, the basics that she found impossible to even do, let alone master. She knew the theory behind it, how it worked, she could recite the dates of every discovery to do with it, but still it would not happen. When she last saw people of her own age, they said it was like a spark, it just ignited and anything was then possible. But not one of them could tell her how to make the spark, and so she didn't know. "Is there anything you would like to tell me about?" Her teacher asked, tentatively, knowing that there wouldn't be. She knew too. There was silence.
"It will happen, you know, it will. I know you think that it won't, but I'm telling you, it will. There has NEVER been anybody who can't do ANYTHING, however small it may be..." He trailed off.
"The silence is deafening" she thought. And it was. It covered them like a thick woolen blanket.
"Though with you, I wonder if anything will ever happen..." He thought. And that thought saddened him.
Here was a poor little girl, isolated from her friends and singled out for lessons he knew she didn't want, all because of something she couldn't control. And such a famous little girl as well, daughter of a influentional buisnessman, who didn't make time for his family. Her head snapped up, her eyes focussing on him.
"Did you say something?" She asked, quietly, timidly.
"No..."
"Oh, I thought I heard something. Something about my father..."
He hesitated. That was what he thought... but... that couldn't be it... could it...?
... And that's it, as I don't want my upload to abort! :)
