My newest story, College Life. Thanks to all of the CC creators, and I hope you like it. If you don't, then.... Don't read it. (:
"Weston. Mia Weston," I said, straightening my posture.
"Well, Mia Weston I don't know about your other professors, and frankly I don't care, but I do not tolerate tardiness. If you're late to my class again, I will kick you out."
I gulped. I was hoping for a more understanding and kind professor... "Now, go take a seat somewhere so that I can finish my lecture," he said.
His face went from angry to excited in just a second. I took a seat next to a friendly looking guy and in front of a talkative girl. I sat my books and my purse on the table in front of me. Hopefully this class isn't as hard as the professor is... "Don't worry, he yelled at me for being two minutes late. Two minutes. Can you believe it?" the guy sitting next to me whispered. I smiled, and eased up a bit.
"Maybe we should be quiet, he might yell at us for that next," I laughed.
He smiled at me and turned back to his computer screen. After class, Timothy, my boyfriend called me to ask if I wanted to meet up at the Cafe down the street from his dorm. I had enough time between classes, so I said yes. I took a seat across from him, as he drank his coffee.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey." I replied.
"How's your day going, babe?" he asked me.
"Oh, you know. It's going okay. Nothing too drastic happened," I smiled. "How is yours?"
"I went for a run this morning, got some food, ate it, called my mom, got some more food and now I'm here with you. So, my day just keeps getting better and better."
I blushed at the last sentence. "When do you start that job?" he asked me.
"At the stables?"
"It's at a local farm back in town, down the street from where my parents lived. They just got it built. Anyway, I start tomorrow around four."
"Farm, stables. It's all the same thing. Smelly horses and raggedy people. I feel bad for you, babe," he said as he took another sip of his coffee.
"Actually, the place is quite beautiful, and the people are nice. Really nice."
"Southern hospitality, right?" he laughed.
I rolled my eyes. "I was just joking, gosh. Are you ever going to learn to take a joke?"
"I can take a joke, but not when you're talking about my employers."
"You barely even know them, calm down, Mia."
I raised my voice. "I'm not going to calm down, they're nice peop-" "I thought that was you!" I heard a voice yell.
I looked over, and saw the guy from earlier walk up to me. He had a girl, a very pretty girl, with him. Probably his girlfriend. I waved.
"Been late to anything else, today?" he jokingly asked me.
"Not yet." I laughed.
Timothy looked up at him. Then again, he could have been looking at his girlfriend. I rolled my eyes at him, again. "Well, I guess I'll see you when I see you. Hopefully it's some time soon," he said.
Did he really just say that, in front of his girlfriend? I looked at her. She studied her nails, and looked bored.
"I guess so," I replied. "Who was that?" Timothy asked, as he walked away.
"Why? Are you jealous?" I joked.
"No, I'm not jealous. It's just a question. Can you answer it?" I laughed, "I have no clue."
But hopefully I'll find out soon.
