Ah, well, since I lost all my previous screenshots fro this series, I just thought i'd put in the big ending in this chapter.

Hey, France... Did you know? Forgetting your father... Was the hardest thing to remember... Then he came along...

The father you've grown to know... Owen Stevens... He treated you as his own... But I knew that somewhere inside of you, you've always known... I married that man. His family accepted me with open arms. He was my best friend. He accepted everything about me, even your existence. I know you'll never forgive me for marrying that man.. But I did it for us. For our survival. Was I selfish? I didn't even ask you what you thought... Or how you felt...

Or even told you the truth... I never told you the truth... Hey... Francis... Did you know?

There was a man in my dream, and I was chasing him... I didn't know it then... But that man...

Is your Father. In that dream, there were two of me... One who was mindlessly chasing after the man she loves, and the me who knew better. I watched my self chase after him, but i wasn't able to do anything... Cause no matter what I did, I knew what the other me symbolized.
She was the me who still dreams of him...

A reality that no longer exist, and can no longer exist. Because... I got married to another man. And knew the fact that what I had with him was real... And I left it all behind... Because I knew... That no book written about us.. would have a happy ending in it. "Wake up Lizzie." He says "This is not real." He continues. "We... we never got married!"

"No! NO! We can make this work!" I beg "You didn't marry me!" He runs as I follow. "You married someone else." "He will find me you know."

In a flash, we're back in the beach house in Liberty bay.

You probably don't remember... I envy you sometimes. "You knew Lizzie... You knew..." He continues.

You will never remember your father, and it would be a curse I had to live with for the rest of my life. "You knew that i would've given up anything for you... the both of you..."

"He is my son..." "Eventually... He will find me..." "And when that day comes... There's nothing you can do about it..."

This is when I wake up...

I would dream about this for many many more years... Until the day comes... when I can no longer dream.


Why am I telling you all this only now you may ask?

Because... Francis...

By the time you read this... I will no longer be present in this world... Promise me... Francis... Promise me that you will find him... Find... your father for me..

"Can I play with you sir?" The boy asks.

"Sure take a seat." the old man replies. Make sure he eats well.. and sleep well..

"You're pretty good at this boy, what's your name?" The old man asks. Make sure that you take care of him... The way i couldn't take care of him because of my weakness.


"Francis." The boy says.

 He will be in Neverglade, our hometown...

"Francis Stevens." The boy says. "Call me France."

 Tell him for me... Tell him I'm no longer running away, but instead running ahead of him...

"You named me sir." France says. "I'm your son." Tell him that I will never leave him again... Not even at worlds end...
