Christian was sitting in the kitchen, drinking some beer, when Andrea came into the room.
-Hey.
-How do you feel after last night, baby? I love you.
-Baby? Hey, take it easy. You’re not my girlfriend or something. I was having fun last night, you felt good too so I don’t see any problem.
- Why are you saying that? Are you serious?
- Totally serious. What did you think? I can make Christian change…I’ll never change. I don’t like to be with a girl for more than a night…
- I….can’t believe you’re saying that. I thought you really liked me.
- Yes, of course I like you. You look good. But there are so many beautiful girls….I can’t just stay with one.
Daniel also came into the room, he took a glass of milk and sat down. He didn’t knew what was happening.
- You know what, idiot…I hate you! I don’t wanna see you again!
- Fine, but you live here so you’ll have to (laughing)
- Leave me alone, stop laughing! I’m not a stupid girl who will leave this house only because of a jerk. You mean nothing to me.
She tried not to cry and left the room. Daniel was surprised.
- Girls, man.
- What just happened? Why was she that aggressive?
- Nothing. We kind of had fun last night and she understood everything wrong. She thought I’ll marry her or something.
- You shouldn’t have done that, bro. She’s a good girl, I guess. She seems different.
- Not to me, man. I hate that life when you can only see a girl in your bed every morning…so boring…What about you and her sister?
- Oh, boy, she’s the most amazing girl I’ve seen. She’s so cute and lovely. I love her.
- And what about Silvia, man?
- Silvia…let’s not talk about that.
- Ok, man.
Daniel went out, took a shower and waited for Barb to come. She looked gorgeous.
- Hey, babe. You look…amazing.
- Thanks (laughing) But I kind of need something to prove me that.
- What?
- Maybe….a kiss.
And he kissed her passionately. They were so happy…It was too good to be true They cuddled on the sofa.
- You know, Daniel. I was thinking about what you told me yesterday. I didn’t sleep all night and I did something. I’m not sure you’ll like it, but I already did it so…it’s kind of late for you to say no.
- What did you do, little angel?
- I know you like that designer stuff. So…I looked over the internet, I bought some furniture…
- Furniture for what?
- Well, for your own office. As a designer. I opened a business with you as its owner.
- Oh, baby. Nobody ever did something like that for me. I LOVE you!!! It’s great. I would never have had the courage to do that. But now, with you, everything changes. You are definitely the one for me.
He kissed her so strongly that she could hardly breathe. He really loved her. Even if he was engaged. With Silvia. He had never felt something like that for a girl. He knew that lying to her was something really selfish, but he wanted to enjoy those happy moments. He knew that after Barbie will find out he was ENGAGED, she’ll hate him.
Andrea went to her and changed into her pajamas. The only thing she wanted to do was sleep and never wake up. She wanted to die. She was always the girl who loved the life, having fun, kissing all the boys, but only that. And when she thought she’d find the one…Christian….he was the biggest jerk she had ever seen. How could he do that to her? Christian was a model. He earned money doing photos, commercial. He loved his job. He met new girls all the time. And they all looked amazing. Like today. He met Lorena, a Spanish model. This was their picture for the catalog. She was a swimsuit model. He couldn’t wait to kiss her.
- Hey, babe. Wanna go out, to the pool, swim a little and know each other better?
- Sure, handsome. How would I say no to you?
- So, baby, how old are you?
- I’m 19. And you?
- 20. What’s your name?
- Lorena…and you are Christian…I saw you in all the catalogs…My room is full of posters with you.
- Oh, so you’re a fan. I guess you know everything about me then. Wanna see my house?
- Sure, I’d love to.
- You look wonderful in my living room. But I think you’d look stunning in my bed. See ya there?
- Sure…
But their lovely meeting was interrupted by Andrea who went downstairs to watch TV.
- I just need to tell you, miss, that this guy is an idiot. Believe me! He only wants to get you to his bed and…then he won’t talk to you anymore. He doesn’t want a relationship.
- I know, so what? That’s what I want too.
Andrea was so angry that she had thrown the water she had into Lorena’s face. Then she ran to her room.
On the way to her room, she saw Barbie.
- What’s wrong, sis? Why are you dressed in pajamas at this time?
- I…don’t feel that good.
- What happened?
- Come upstairs and I’ll tell you. She could hardly talk between her tears.
- So, what’s wrong?
- You know, last night I slept with Christian. You know I never did that with a guy. But I thought he loved me. And this morning when I woke up he told me I was just an affair for him, that he doesn’t want a girl for more than one night and anything.
- But how could he do that? I…can’t imagine. He seems a good person.
- He is...not. But I fell in love with him like a stupid…I…
- Andrea, you are the strongest girl I know. I’m sure you can get over it. I’ll always be here for you. Show him you don’t care about him… Or at least pretend that… Show him what he has lost…
- You’re right, sis. I love you!
- I’ll just dress up, change my makeup, my hair, and pretend nothing happened. I’ll prove him I don’t care.
- Go, sis!
Christian found Lorena in his bed, in her underwear. She started kissing him, she was very romantic, but something was wrong with Christian. He felt nothing. - What’s wrong with you? First you tell me you like me and then you do that? I’m out of here, idiot!
“ What’s wrong with me? I can’t stop thinking about Andrea. I always see her in front of me, I see her in every girl I meet….”
- So, what do you think, Daniel? This is your office. Right here, in your house. Next to your bedroom. I did my best. I know it doesn’t look that good, but…I tried.
- Barbie, you are the best person I know! And this office is so cool! I love it!
- I love you, Daniel! I would do anything for you!
- Me too, Barb. I hope you’ll never forget that I love you more than anything in this world!
