Previously, Karakos matriarch Rosie let loose now that the kids are older and need less attention. She becomes the hostess with the mostess, and her grandkids follow suit, with parties every day. The triplets grow up to be beautiful teens, and Shannon promptly crushes on Austin Benson. After going steady with him, Shan sets her sister up with Alvin Futa. Brandon's relationship with Kennedy gets more serious.

This turned out to be a very eventful round for the family, so this is quite a long update. Please review as I'd love to know what you think.

 The super outgoing Karakos teens almost always invite friends home from school.

School seems to be eventful for them too. Rodney manages to make first chair for percussion is the school band. Encouraged by this, he decides to learn to play the trumpet. Finding this difficult, he looses some enthusiasm for music.
 Unfortunately Rodney's cooking skills aren't as good as they should be, or at least aren't good enough to overcome the distraction of talking to his friends when food is on the stove. The fire truck has to be called out.

Rodney and his siblings take this as an indication to start focusing on their skill building, especially as they wish to win scholarships for college. Shannon makes the fortunate choice to give her work collegue a blender from the registry for his wedding, and he happily accepts her invitation to come home with her after work.

Shannon is also interested in an RC car that her classmate shows during a class presentation. She asks him about it after class, but it seems that he was only showing the car for class, and doesn't really care for tinkering. Shannon's tinkering enthusiasm goes down as a result. While developing her logic skill, Shannon finds an unknown star, and is given $100 by the SimCity Astronomy Club. The lady from the club informs her that there are a lot of budding astronomers in the neighbourhood. A girl called Natasha Freeman has also found quite a few new stars and planets! Shannon's beautiful painting is also declared a masterpiece, and sells for a significant sum of money.

To round out Shannon's rather hectic life, she 'borrows' the family cookie recipe for a fundraising event at school. The cookies sell so well, she receives $100 as a bonus. Yearning for a steady, and rather smitten with Alvin, Renee asks him on a date at the bowling alley. The two form crushes on each other, and Renee has her first kiss at the end of the date! Brandon follows the example of his children, and works on developing some of his skills. In particular he focuses on physiology. Very much in love with Kennedy, and wishing to build a life with him, Brandon proposes.

AN: For some strange reason, Brandon has a negative memory of getting engaged. ??? The couple hold a beautiful wedding at the Karakos house, and invite all of their neighbours. The newlyweds
 Brandon delicately feeds Kennedy a slice of wedding cake. The wedding party is a complete roof raiser. Our favourite steady couple can always be counted on for PDAs.

AN: I love how much autonomous affection they give each other :-) They are just so cute together. Rosalie, still the social secretary of the neighbourhood, loves having her friends over for lunch. Rosalie also impresses the techie, La Shawn Cameron, who spreads the word around about what a cool person Rosalie is. There's rarely a quiet moment in the Karakos household. Rodney knows that he should be studying for college, but he really wants to go out with Gordon, so blows off studying for a night out on the town. Summer is here, and the sports mad Kennedy loves tossing a football with his new husband. The pair even take up fishing. They sometimes bump into their neighbours down at the park, who join them. Kennedy manages to catch a huge fish. Kennedy also tries bonding with his new step-daughter, over a game of catch. Rosalie wants the family to become more cultured, and takes them to the SimCity Gallery one evening. Brandon enjoys the pop art collection. Rosie takes her favourite guy for a game of cards at Greens Hall. After spending so much time together, the couple fall in love. Eager not to waste any time, they immediately get engaged.

In the meantime, Rosalie is gaining a lot of fame. She makes a good impression on Gordon Wolsenko, who immediately offers her a job in architecture. Rosie isn't interested though. She has discovered a secondary aspiration in her life, and wants to focus more on her family. Shannon goes on another date with Alvin, but unfortunately problems with the taxi means that she is extremely late, and Alvin considers himself to be stood up. He isn't really interested in doing much with her, and his crush on her seems to be broken. Rather dejected, Shannon eventually manages to convince him to at least sing a little karaoke with her. More eventful times for Shannon. She is demoted at work for encouraging the partners for taking on a client who turns out to not be very profitable. Next time she encourages the partners for taking on another potentially difficult client, it turns out to be a huge case for them. They give her a $100 bonus to show their gratitude.

Meanwhile, at work, she gains more tinkering enthusiasm by playing with a colleague's model train.

School is less productive. Shannon is in charge of preparing the school lunch when the cafeteria lady is ill. Shannon enlists the help of other students, but they aren't as interested. Shannon is left to prepare the meal all by herself, and looses cuisine enthusiasm as a result.

AN: Shannon shannon shannon, and her many chance cards. Kennedy would like to watch an overseas sports game while he is at work, but he knows that he really should go to the meeting. It turns out he made the right choice, as he was able to provide the answers for some crucial questions at this meeting. Kennedy receives a promotion as a result.

Kennedy is an a serious roll at work, and receives another promotion when he discovers a new alien civilisation.

On top of that, one of his colleagues moonlights at a discount furniture store, and offers him a discount next time he goes shopping.

Brandon also does well at work, discovering a new isotope. With no cheating dramas like the previous week's outing, the teens have a rocking outing at the Tabernacle club. In a vivacious mood, Rodney randomly decides to flirt with Taylor, and the two develop a crush on each other.

AN: More autonomous flirting. Never had such sims before! They only have 1 bolt of chemistry, so I had planned to leave them alone, but they took matters into their own hand. I'll leave it for university for their crushes and all to reset. Rodney likes having a boy to flirt with when Taylor comes over to visit.

AN: once again, all autonomous. Taylor ever dropped by of his own free will. Renee is still keen on Alvin, and invites him on an apology-make-up date to Saffron. Alvin eventually accepts her apology, and the two are back ON again! The two love birds go for a late night swin at the leisure centre. The next day, Renee invites Alvin over, and asks him to be her steady. He gladly accepts. Our two favourite lovebirds can always be counted on to get hot and heavy at the local coffee shop. Rosalie invites her fiancee over to stay the night. Unfortunately, as they are beginning to plan their life together, the grim reaper comes to pay a visit to Rosalie. The family are distraught over the death of Rosalie.

AN: I'm not too good at letting my sims die, and I'm rather lost without Rosie too! The family go ahead with their NYE party they had planned, but they are rather subdued as a result. None of them really care about the fireworks they have organised. They manage to rouse up enough to create a ruckus when midnight strikes. The police drive by, but fortunately they don't break up the party. The next day, Renee is ill with the flu. Daddy makes her a big bowl of comfort soup to heal her. The Karakos family are very emotional at Rosalie's funeral. Most of the family members would like to ressurect her!
 Rosalie left the family a large sum of money as part of her life insurance policy. They spend some of the money on a new car. Kennedy has a desire to visit the far east, and suggests using some of the money on a vacation for Brandon and Kennedy, as they never took a honeymoon.

Arriving at Takemizu Village, they check into the Flaming Dragon Hotel.

The pair go on several tours, but they aren't necessarily that enjoyable. On the historic walking tour, they are pushed into a poison ivy patch by their tour guide, and spend a lot of the first day scratching themselves. During the river boat tour, a snake falls onto the boat, and the tour is cut short.

The bamboo forest tour finishes better though, although it was scary when they thought they would be ambushed by the Yellow Rose Clan. As a result of avoiding detection, they leave in very good spirits.
 Kennedy goes shopping for lots of souveniers. Brandon takes lots of snapshots, and plans to start a beautiful album when he gets home. Kennedy has a few awkward moments when he attempts that strange gesture the locals seem to do, but he eventually learns to bow. Brandon tosses a coin into the shrine, and is granted a fortune! Arriving home, Brandon checks the job ads. After waiting a very long time, the military are finally recruiting! Brandon happily applies for a job, and looks forward to his first day in his dream career.
