I've decided to make Taylor the Benson heir, which means that Austin wil be splitting off to form his own family - Benson II. Last round, Austin graduated with top honours from university, and got engaged to his high school sweetheart, Shannon Karakos.

 Newly graduated from college, Austin looks for a place to live. He finds a nice apartment in the City Central Apartments in the middle of SimCity. The rent is expensive, but Austin is sure that by graduating as well as he has, he will find a good job very soon. Anyway, the money is worth it to be living across the street from the Tiki bar. Candice and Kea are also moving in upstairs, so it will be like old times at college. To pay the expensive rent, Austin looks for a job. Unfortunately, his preferred career of music has no openings, but his successful career as a college sports player put him in good stead for an athletics career. A housewarming party is essential for a popularity sim. What a roof raiser! Unfortunately, too much of a roof raiser. The neighbours complain of the noise. No, this is no longer the HAO house, where noisy parties are not merely tolerated, but expected, and there are no shift-working doctors who need sleep. Always on the lookout for a new friend, especially one who may prove beneficial, Austin does some sucking up to the landlord. Ian is a bit of a grump, but he does appreciate a chat. Watching the game. It's terribly strange having the entire apartment to himself. Austin was beginning to get concerned with how he would manage living on his own, but his friends and neighbours are always hanging around in the lobby outside. Kea and Candi tend to drop in too. Austin drops in on his neighbours. Why not throw another party? This time it's for the building. It starts in Austin's apartment, and spills into the hallway. Shannon comes over often. Things are busy around the apartment, but relatively quiet enough that Austin can put his literature major to good use. He writes his first novel, a romance novel called 'Dizzy at the Chalet', which introduces the heroine Dizzy Rosemont. It sells well, and Austin is proud to place a copy on his bookshelves.

The novel fills a dual purpose - with his upcoming marriage to fortune sim Shannon, Austin is also taking a secondary aspiration of fortune, and novels bring in some more simoleons. It could be handy to have some more company around, and also have someone to help pay the rent. Austin advertises for a roommate, and Danielle Lillard moves in.

The only problem is that there is only one bedroom... So this is how the bedroom dilemma is solved. There is a perfectly serviceable couch inside the apartment, but this is the one that Dani wants. She seems to have some magical roomie powers, which involve coming home from work with her motives maxed out. Perhaps she sleeps on the job.
 Austin has is old skill of persuasion to fall back on, and influences Dani to do a lot of the cleaning. Just as well she actively wants to improve her cleaning skill. For the most part, Austin and Dani are getting along, and have become good friends. Trouble in paradise ensues when Dani breaks Austin's computer. Austin hasn't even been along to his athletics job, but an opening in the music career turns up, which he snaps up immediately. So skilled at music is he, that on his first day on the job, Austin is promoted to the top of the music career, fulfilling his lifetime want, and lifetime aspiration. Austin now gets driven to work in a limo! What would a week with Austin be without at least one outing? Especially such a rockin outing.

Austin and Shannon naturally spend a good part of the evening getting hot and heavy. Mrs Crumplebottom would normally have a problem with this, but she is in the background, busy boozing it up. Austin is keen to make sure his friends fill their wants, and when Gordon wants to play pranks... well, what could be easier that encouraging him right along?
 Austin has a quick go at working as the dj, before playing in the dance sphere.
