The Karakos family move into Settlement Rd in Lakeside Village. Brandon lives with his three children, Renee, Rodney and Shannon, and his mother Rosalie.
 Their new neighbours, the Chens, come to greet them. Thanks to the time-space warp that is SimCity, Rosalie is already friends with some other neighbours, the Bensons. Rosalie is keen to become friends with many people in the neighbourhood. The blokes, Brandon and Nathan watch some golf on TV. Three toddlers are a handful, but they all need to be taught their toddler skills. When Dad and Grandma manage to catch a moment off their feet, the kiddies love their activity table. Their bedroom is covered with their drawings. Awww... With a lot of hard work, the triplets begin to learn their skills. Brandon would love to stay at home with his children all day, but there's no money coming in. He sits down at the computer and finds a job in the Science career track. Brandon is pleased that the skills he will use in his job will also be handy around the house. How many people can say that they are helping out their job prospects when cleaning the toilet? He's quickly promoted. Meanwhile Rosalie is now left to fend for herself with the toddlers while Brandon is at work. That's a lot of feeding, bathing, and potty training. It's never pleasant when there are three children screaming to be let out of bed after their nap.

Somewhere along the way, some nasty neighbourhood prankster tipped over the bin, inviting the roaches to pay a visit. Rosalie spends the rest of her free time attacking them with the insect spray. Not a moment too soon, it's the the triplets' birthdays. The girls are rather shy, so instead of a party like Rosalie would prefer, they have a quiet family affair with the cake. With Brandon at work, and the kids at school, Rosalie has a chance to catch up on some sleep and phone calls. Time flies, and the children arrive home, asking for help with their homework. It takes a while to get through all three of them, but Rosalie is comforted knowing that they now won't need help with it in the future. Shannon did well in shop class, making the best birdcage at in her class. She brings home her neighbour, Austin Benson, and they play some catch, then cops and robbers.
 On Friday afternoon, Rosalie invites the Chens over for lunch. Brandon had made a beautiful plate of spaghetti for them to enjoy. Rosalie is so pleased that she's best friends with so many of her neighbours. Unfortunately, when Brandon stands up to his boss at work, it doesn't go down too well, and he gets demoted!

His friend from work, Kennedy Cox comes home with him, to cheer him up. Brandon would love to find a beautiful partner. Perhaps Kennedy may be the one? Brandon's at work on a Saturday, so Grandma takes the kids and Austin to the Community Centre. There's a lot of fun toys for them to play with in creche. The kids also love the cool fantasy wallpaper.
 The slide is so much fun. The girls, rather keen on their tinkering, drag the others into the Model Train Clubroom. They beg Grandma for a set of their own at home. Maybe when Dad gets promoted kids.
 Brandon does get promoted, and to celebrate, he takes Kennedy on a date to the local coffee shop, The Bean Grinder. There's a lot of flirting and smooching. There's definitely a crush there! What a dream date.
 Brandon is worried that Rodney is a little grouchier and lazier than he would prefer, and spends a good amount of time encouraging him in the right direction. Rosalie takes leaf out of her son's book, and encourages the girls to be less shy.
 On Sunday, the kids invite Austin over again. They're really glad to have a friend in their new neighbourhood.

Brandon invites Kennedy over before he goes to work, who brings his friend Ivy Copur. He's told her all about Brandon, and she's very pleased to meet him. She likes him so much, that she offers him a discount at the home furnishings warehouse she works at. Kennedy is beginning to fall in love with Brandon, but does Brandon feel the same way?
