Inspired by Sweetcharming's "Noir" I decided to post the fantasy story I've been creating. My first story, so hope you'll like it guys...
It's the story of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Croft and how she copes as she discovers her family's secret through a magician's hat.

It's the story of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Croft and how she copes as she discovers her family's secret through a magician's hat. Elizabeth was already wide awake but she chose to daydream in her bed. She missed how she and her older sister used to share their double decker bed and how it was her who used to occupied the lower bunk. "Snap out of it sweetie. Time for breakfast. Come down from there" her mom called. Elizabeth was startled. It's like her mom came out of nowhere.
"All right just let me get ready." replied Elizabeth as she got out of her bed. The first thing that Elizabeth noticed when she got down from her bed was the magician's hat that was on top pf her desk. She remembered how her dad would dress up in a cape and hat and tell her stories when she was young. He'd tell her stories of magic, enchantment. Her favorite was how a magician locked an evil warlock into a medallion to stop him from his evil deeds...But dad was no longer there to tell her those stories anymore... After snapping out of her thoughts, Elizabeth raced downstairs and prepared toast for her mom and herself. " By the way, Lizzie, dont forget that your brother will be here to introduce to us his fiancee." noted her mom in the middle of their breakfast.
 Elizabeth thought of her older brother, Henry. He moved to Bluewater Village years ago to put up a restaurant there. He is now a successful chef whos' about to be married. Laura heard a car pak outside thier house so she rushed to look at the winodw. "They're here Lizzie! Your brother's here." she excalimed. "Honey.." called the blonde to her husband to be. "Do you think your family will like me?" she whispered nervously. "Of course, there's nothing to worry about, Alice." assured Henry. LAura rushed to greet her son and give him a big hug. Elizabeth also followed as Laura started to chat to her future daughter. "Henry.. you promised me in your emails to take me to the newly opened carnival here as you arrived didnt you?" gushed Elizabeth. "Well..I..." said Henry as he turned to his fiancee. "That would be fun, honey. We could all go there,I dont mind." said Alice.
"Allright then." agreed Henry. "Yay! JUst let me get ready." said Elizabeth as she rushed to her room. Fast as a lightning Elizabeth changed her clothes and braided her hair. SHe cant wait to go to the carnival with her brother and his fiancee. Laura bid the 3 good bye and wished them to enjoy themselves as she'd unpack her son's things while they're away. Elizabeth was giddy when she first saw The carnival. She didnt know which ride to try first. Elizabeth begged to be separated from the duo to give them privacy and so she can choose the ride that she wants. She first tried the roller coaster, it was a long line but it was worth it. Next was the haunted train. Elizabeth wasnt scared,she merely laughed at the ride, even the dancing skeletons looked funny to her. She decided to try a tent and get her fortune read read next. The gypsy inside greeted her/
" Ah- welcome Miss Elizabeth Croft, I've been expecting you." greeted the gypsy.
"Yeah right..." said Elizabeth as she wondered how the gypsy knew her name. The two seated as the gypsy gazed on her crystal ball.
Nice effects.. muttered Elizabeth to herself. The gypsy peered closer into the crystal ball and started to mumble as if in a trance ."I see great powers sealed within you because of a tragedy long ago.." she said. "The most amazing powers! One that would help us all because the treaty has been broken and the warlock's men are out to cause haov again!" the gypsy continued. "Powers? Warlocks? What are you talking about?" asked Elizabeth as she felt uneasy. "Those things are only found in stories. Now can you give me a real reading here? I came here for my fortune not these nonesense." said Elizabeth. "But I am telling the truth dearie, this is what I see. A warlock i splanning to get his revenge on you...you and your family...they're planning to steal an artifact you family holds..." continued the gypsy.
 "Okay that's it. I'm out of here." said Elizabeth as she stood up to leave.
"No wait.. I'm not yet done!" excalimed the gypsy. "MIss Croft!" called the gypsy as she chased her out of the tent. "If you do not believe check you father's hat once again. The magician's hat! That's where he placed his powers for you just in case..." "And all those stories he told you.. those werent stories.. they were his adventures.. all those stories were true.." continued the gypsy as Elizabeth didnt stop walking away from the gypsy. Elizabeth was startled but she kept on walking to look for her brother. How did she knew I have a magician's hat? That the hat belonged to dad? And that dad told me stories? she thought. She finally found Henry and Alice near a fountain.
"Henry..I'm not feeling well, let's go home." she whined.
She wanted to get out of here, leave the carnival, and leave what the gypsy told her.. but somehow what she wanted was to go home and check her father's hat.. Although she was scared, a part of her wanted to know if what the gypsy said was right...
