 Me and mark had been dating for a while and soon I became pregnant with his baby. He had no signs of leaving me. He made me feel safe. Desi loved him and he loved Desi I could not ask for anything more.
Desi was excited about the new baby she kept touching my stomach and saying baby. Desi was getting a lot better. She had more colour in her checks and she was a lot more cheeky. She brightened up everyone’s day. She now learnt how to walk and hated staying in her crib all she wanted to do was wonder the hospitals corridors. As she saw Mark as her dad I felt safe leaving her with him. She would now cry in the night and ask for Mark but she would call him DAA. So I now had a job it wasn’t far it was still in the hospital I worked behind the till in the shop where people would buy flowers for loved ones or a quick sandwich and a magazine. When Desi was out and about she wanted Mark to follow her, they would play this game where she would run off and Mark could catch her and toss her in the air. She absolutely loved it.
I would spend most of the day working to get money to pay for her medical bill and to get things for the new baby and for Desi’s birthday as soon she will be turning four. The day finally came as my little angel turned four. The whole hospital staff came around to watch her celebrate her birthday. I felt a message to Desi’s dad to come and see her but he never showed up. If he did it would have been hard telling Desi mark isn’t her real dad so I am glade he never showed up but a card would have been nice.
I heard from a friend that him and his wife had just had a baby , it made me feel sick that he felt me and never acknowledge our child but stayed with her all the way though. But I didn’t let it bother me as I have Mark now and that’s what matters him and Desi.
