*Credits to the maker of my CC's* Okay this is the usual thing me and my mom do every Friday night eating at our favorite restaurant its just that this time I can feel butterflies on my stomach. I was eating my dessert when Mom ask me “Honey, how would you feel if we move?” “Its okay.” I answered. It was never been a problem on me, I'm not really that sociable I don't even have friends well okay i have company but they're just company not really counted as friends and since we moved out a lot because of mom's job I never had a chance to find a true friend. I looked up and I saw her smiling, looks like I just lift her hopes up so I asked her “What brings this up,you got promoted again?” she hesitated for a while before answering “I'm getting married!” my mouth fell open “Say what?”
Time flew past. Two months already past and here we are in our new house with her new husband. Of coarse at first I'm not okay with it, my mom had been remarried trice first my biological father and next is my Science professor which also didn't last. My father left mom before I was even born, My ex professor-dad had left us too well I cant blame him Mom has never been a housewife material she's workaholic. And now a model which is 3 years younger from her. I entered the house after checking the backyard which doesn't have a single plant. And I saw them cuddling in the living room's sofa, Okay that's not something I want to see so i went straight to my room, Steve I'm not ready to call him dad yet said he already had everything on place. I held the door opened and “Aaaa!” I screamed. There was a boy lying on my bed. I was about to throw something on him when Steve rushed to his side. “Sorry about that, He's Nick my niece he's the one who organize your room.” I heard footstep on my back. “Oh sorry Ella honey I forgot to tell you we will also be living with Steve's niece.” I didn't move an inch and there was an awkward silence between us four and finally Steve broke it “Let's have dinner?” I didn't answered. And they went out of my room, Nick was almost in the door when he said “By the way,nice diaphragm you got.” And I think I heard him laughing. I'm not in the mood to eat dinner so I decided to unpack my clothes. I was almost halfway on finishing when I felt my eyes are teary and I cant stop it anymore. I want my mom to be happy so I agreed but I cant hide the feelings I feel. Sadness...Loneliness and Emptiness. Before I knew it i was slowly drifting to Lala Land and i fell asleep on the floor. And morning came. I did the usual morning rituals except the breakfast part. I checked myself in the mirror to see the puffiness of my eyes. Its still early so I decided on walking to school, reading the map Steve made for me. There it is “Crow High School” I muttered. Finally I reached the school and I'm almost late so I hurried to my classroom. I already had my scheduled on me,again thanks to Steve. To my surprise I already have taken they're lessons. Well because I was on advance program on my previous school, what else is there to do for a girl who don't have a social life. Its 30 minutes before our break time but I can already hear the growling sound of my stomach. I didn't gave any attention to the lesson, the whole time I was just looking at my watch and finally the bell ring. Yes! finally I could have something to eat. I darted straight at the cafeteria and went straight at the lunch lady “ I would have this,please.” pointing at the burger. The cafeteria was almost full but I saw an empty table. I was about to take a bite on my burger when I saw Nick on the other table, he has a band aid on his nose. I tried to remember his face last night and it seems like his nose was perfectly okay. I wonder what could have happen overnight that would cause him injury. And i saw him looking at me and I realize I was staring at him i felt my cheeks burn. So i looked down and started eating my burger. “Hi can we join you?” a tanned girl ask me. I just nodded my head and smiled. They're talking about gossips and boys that I don't know. After I'm done eating I excused myself and headed straight on my next class which Lab. “Hi, Im Jill Deville” said by a smiling girl next to me. “I'm Ella Mason” I respond. “Mason? I thought your mom married Mr. Steve?” I was shocked by what she said “Nick told us.” she was still smiling “You knew him?” I asked. She chuckled “We're classmate!” “Ooh, i didn't know-” she was already laughing “I know you were so pre-occupied by the growling of your stomach.” Again i was shocked by what she just said “We heard it.” i feel my mouth open, how could she hear it when she was 5 sit away from me? “We? How?” I asked amused . “Our sense of hearing is good.” she answered. “How?” I asked totally curious. She was about to answer when a boy came in front of us. Again I was shocked they resembles-alot! I looked at her and she was chuckling “We're twins, He's Josh” I smiled at him and he did too and his look went back at Jill “could we talk?” he asked Jill and they both went at the back.
The bell ring and the teacher came in. Jill is now sitting on my side i want to ask her again how can she hear it who does she mean by we. But the teacher didn't gave us a chance to talk again until the class end. But to my dismay Jill is already packing her things and said “See you Ella.” It's 5:30pm still early and I don't want to go home so I went to the Library and just like what I've hoped it was empty. I decided to read a fiction book. By the time I finished the book it was already 8:00 so I returned the book and ran all the way to home. Its just about dinner time when i came I want to go straight to my room but I just remembered Nick okay I'll join them for dinner tonight for sure Steve would ask what happened to his nose. I put my bag on the sofa and went to the dining room and sit beside mom. We eat our meals in silence until “Hey Nick what happened to your nose?” mom asked. Okay this is what i was waiting for but again to my dismay Steve was the one who answered “Never mind that, he always got bruises at night.” he chuckles as he said it “He always fall from bed.” He added. Okay enough dismay for me today I said to myself. I finished my dinner and went to my room.
What was i thinking? Am i really that bored with my life? That i was thinking that there was something magical between them. I felt humiliated by my thinking. Okay enough is enough! I slammed my head on the table and stretch my hand when I felt something, it was a pen with Nick's name written on it.
I went directly to his room. I was about to knock when I heard something fall. I yanked the door open and Nick is not there and the windows are open “That's definitely not a fall from bed!” I didn't get any sleep at all. I was waiting for morning to come well more likely waiting for Nick so I was just staring in the window the whole time. Finally the morning came, after my morning rituals I went directly downstairs to add the breakfast part. “Morning mom.” she smiled back at me. “Here you go Honey” she said while giving me the omelet she cook “Nick your breakfast is getting cold!” She yelled. Nick sit in front of me. I look at him and my mouth fell open. There's another bandage on his face!
