This was WAY WAY WAY too crazy. This door, at the top of a tower, led to a forest. A forest! This was way too insane. But I had to go in. I stepped in and closed the door. The cool, long grass tickled my toes as I threw my shoes off.
It was an actual forest. My dress dragged on the ground as I walked around. The trees circled the door and the door was standing up on its own. IT was amazing. Birds chirped and squirrels rustled the leaves. Sunlight was hidden behind the thick foliage of the trees. Where the heck was was I? Did the owners know about this place? I it was probably a stupid idea, but I decided to explore. It was so pretty. The sun started to get brighter as I moved away from the thicker part of the forest and I wondered how the others were doing right now. I started hearing the sound of water.
It was weird this place was here. I probably should have been more nervous, but something was so calming about the whole place. It was kind of nice. I started to wonder why I even would go back. Suddenly, I stopped. There was a beautiful crystal clear lake laying in the middle of a clearing. Someone was right next to it. I was officially insane. I had lost it. I was sure of it. I padded nearer to the figure sitting near the lake. She had WINGS. I was dreaming; I had to be. Whats wrong with me?!
The fairy person or whatever was humming. She sat there looking like she had no care in the world. She had long purple wings and a short purple dress. She had short, wavy blue-black hair. I gasped and she turned around and her mouth made a small O. I cursed to myself as she walked up to me. Whatever, I'll meet her halfway. The grass kept tickling my bare feet as a strutted over to her.
"You're-you're, human..." The fairy said. Her blue eyes had a faraway look in them. She smiled huge and hugged me. "Omigosh! You're human! I can't believe it!"
Woah this chick was crazy.
"Um, yeah. I've always been." I smiled crookedly.
She started jumping up and down and batting her wings. "Eeeeee! A human! I cannot believe at all! He finally did it! Wow! Everything is gonna change now! Where is he?" She looked at me questioningly.
"Who?"
"You know! Daniel!" I almost busted up laughing. Daniel? She was wondering about him? But she had such a sincere look on her face that I answered her honestly.
"Um, no. I don't even know where I am." Her smile sagged. "I'm sorry. I think I should leave." I turned to go but she grabbed my wrist. Ow, for a fairy, she sure is strong. "What's it like in the human world?" She asked earnestly. The sun was beating down on my head making me sweat.
"First can we go in the shade?" I asked. She nodded and we both slipped under a huge pine tree.
"So? Tell me!" This fairy or girl or pixie or...whatever, was a little too perky for me. I obviously wasn't in the greatest of moods.
I smiled as best I could. "Oh it's cool, I guess. It gets rough." I shrugged my shoulders and she squealed.
"So cool! By the way, my names Lilac. Whats yours?"
"Um, Sutton. Sutton Fields." I grinned proudly.
The color drained from Lilac's face. "You, just said your name was...Sutton?"
"Yeah?" Okay this girl was like, on something. SHe was so skitzo.
Suddenly she flew away. "What the heck?!" I yelled after her. Whats wrong with her? "Whatever." I whispered to myself. I decided that I should probably go back. People might be wondering where I am. I was gone for a while. And plus, I didn't want to meet anybody else. Or anyTHING else.I rolled my eyes. This place was just like that stupid house. WEIRD....
I sprinted to the door and wrenched it open. Darkness came over me. It was dark out on the balcony. I shut the door fast and slid down the wall. I sat on the ground and breathed in and out slowly. I might have looked like I was being a little dramatic, but that 's alot to take in. I stopped and looked around. It was dark outside. DarK? Wasn't it just light out in that forest?
My head swirled as I stood up and walked downstairs. Everyone was still in the living room. Everyone. They had all gotten up and were in a circle talking. Ella saw me and ran over. Soon the others followed.
"Why the heck did you run out like that?" Ella asked. My brain was still fried a little so I just shrugged my shoulders.
"Are you okay?" Belle asked. Daniel walked over and gave me frown.
"Where are your shoes?" He asked. There was a hint of annoyance in his voice.
"I left them somewhere." I mananged to get out. "Guys, come upstairs with me. Theres something up there." I zoomed upstairs with everyone close behind me. As I walked upstairs, I got serious. "Hey Ella?"
"Yeah?"
"Sorry I was gone for so long..."
"You were only gone for two minutes." Wait what?
"I was gone for like two hours!" I twisted my fingers together, suddenly feeling really nervous. Why was my life like a little storybook now?
She furrowed her eyebrows. "No, two mintues. I swear on my life." Without a care it seemed, she continued on her way to the balcony while my brain practically exploded. This place was so confusing. I ran up ahead of her and stepped oto the balcony. I looked at the door. Good. It was still there. I calmed down a little and waited for them to show up. I racked my brain trying to think of an explanation to the door. Why was it there? Why did it seem like I was there for so long in when reality I was there for like two minutes?
"This place is so confusing." I sighed. A bird twittered and flew out of a tree as a cool breeze blew through my hair. It was kind of chilly out here.
"Okay guys look." I said as I pointed behind me. They stopped and looked at me confused.
"Maybe she bumped her head?" Heather whispered. Bellle nodded her round head. Ella gave me a depressed look.
"Honey, I think this one is dillusional..." Mrs. Ross snorted. What a shrew.
"What the heck? Are you guys blind?" Don't you see the door." I jabbed my thumb behind me.
"There is nothing there, sweetie." Belle simpered. I shook my head. What the heck was wrong with these people?
"Let's go guys. Come on DAniel." Heather winked and linked her arm through his. He turned back and gave me a confused, sad look. HE turned straight forward again and walked down the stairs, arm in arm with Heather. Someone whispered "crazy" as they walked down to the living room. My heart instantly sank. "I'm NOT crazy!" I yelled. "I'm not." A tear fell from my eye and dripped off my chin. This sucks. I don't understand why they can't see the door. I turned around and stared at the pillar which the door was on. My chin dropped and my hands got sweaty.
"This is unreal." I stared at the empty pillar. Nothing was there.
Nothing at all. Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed! Rate and comment!!!
