My 16th birthday was very special.

My 16th birthday was very special. Daddy taught me to drive. Kate had pretty much moved in with us by then. I loved having her there. She loved to read too and was a natural cook. We felt like family. I spent a lot of time with Kate. Once we decided to see who could get in shape the best. We both won! I still spent a lot of time studying. By now I had decided to be a scientist. It was a hard decision, I wanted to be a doctor also. Brandywine was my best friend, though. Always. We entered many racing and jumping competitions. We won 1st place often. Kate became my advisor. I loved Daddy more than anything in the world, but seriously, he couldn’t give “woman” advise worth a darn! Then Pegasus came into our lives. He and Brandywine were good for each other. With my studies, I had less and less time to be with Brandywine. Kate loved Pegasus. You could say Pegasus was her unicorn. She rode him every day. Dad would ride Brandywine and they would go down to the beach and enjoy the sound of the ocean. On one of those rides to the ocean, Dad asked Kate to marry him. Another favorite day of my life!
