Hello everyone!
Welcome to final installment of Silent Fear. Sorry for he wait, had assignments to do and all that. I'm dedicating this final part to clarepitts1994, she is a great person to talk to and is a really good author. Sorry if I missed any spelling or grammer mistakes, I was never good at that stuff anyway ;)

Read on... An evil, twisted grin crept across his face... He stopped in front of me not moving a muscle. And then... He bursted out laughing...
His laughter was not one of evil, but one of humor. Was that a joke?!
Angry built up in me. I felt my face burn with fury. "Cliff, that wasn't funny!" I yelled.
He kept laughing as if he didn't hear me. "The look on your face!" he exclaimed. "It was priceless! Where was camera when we need one?" "I'm SERIOUS!!" I screeched.
His laughing stopped in an instant. H elooked to me with serious eyes. "It was just a joke..."
"Joke or no joke it scared me to death!"
Furstrated I walked off. I needed to find Ashlee for Godsake! I could feel Cliff's eyes on the back of my head. "I'm sorry, really. I didn't think it would freak you out that much, ya know?"
 I stopped in my tracks. He sounded so sincere and nervous. I felt bad now. He wasn't to know I would get so scared so easily. I turned around to him. He walked a few pace but stopped from what felt like kilometres away. He looked pretty upset about his actions. "Forgiven?" he asked after a moment.
I walked up to him. A grin of reassurance stretch across my face. "Of, course you are silly." I said when I was in front of him. He smiled."Thanks. I guess we better go look for the others..."
I was quiet at first thinking of actually running out of here and leaving everyone else behind. I quickly snapped out of that thought to answer his question. "Yeah, I guess we should." With that we turned around and walked into the woods. Cliff picked up his pace and went ahead by five steps. Everything was quiet again.
I was off in my own thoughts. Could Cliff really be a...? I could say the word because it just wasn't true. He woudln't have done anything to the others, would he? He didn't seem like that kind of person. But if it wasn't him, then what or who was doing this? Was this a big joke? And was Cliff playing along for the fun of it...?
The only sounds were the rustling of leaves in the trees. The cold wind slithered down my back sending an icy chill up my spine. I got that feeling again. That feeling someone or something was watching me. It's burning eyes going from my neck to my face. This time I looked up and saw... Nothing...
I must be imagining things. Cliff came to a stop and turned to me. "You okay?"
 I turned to him "Yeah, I'm fine. I just can't help but get the feeling were being watched that's all"
He smirked "Looks like my story really did get to you huh?"
"No it's not that it's just..." I trailed off. How do you explain it? How do explain the feeling of being watched? "I know how it feels. I'm feeling the same too. I have since we last met up" That would explain why he was so nervous. I felt relief pulse through me. "I'm actually starting to wonder if it's the others playing a joke on us or something."
I nodded not really knowing what to say. He was thinking the same too. It was like he was reading my mind...Creepy. "But you heard all those screams. They sounded so real, like everyone really was in pain" I noted. Then I thought of something. The direction that Ashlee's scream came from was the same place I found Cliff. "Did you meet up with Ashlee at all?"
Cliff looked at me perplexed "Of course I did! She went looking for you after we met up and then when I heard her scream I ran to see if she was there.Then you came along and...you know the rest."
I nodded understanding. I guess that made sense. He then looked away. He rubbed the back of his neck as a nervous gesture. "Heather, there's something I have to tell you."
"What?" I asked, both curiousity and worry filling my system.
"I really li-"
A shuffling sounds interrupted him. "Did you hear that?" I asked.
We looked up at the trees. A sound came to my ear. A faint sound that got louder slowly. A whirling sound that was heading straight for us. Another shuffle next to us... We turned around. A long round shadow formed on the ground. The whirling sound kept getting closer and closer... I covered my ears as the sound got louder. I saw something in the distance. And with it it brought a bright white light. The light surronded the area around me and Cliff. This must have been the thing. The thing that was in Cliff's story. The thing that had done something to the others to make them scream. Huh, who or what was that? I could barely make it out. The bright light made it impossible to see anything. The light slowly dimmed until I could see Cliff next to me "Get out of here!" he yelled abpve the whirling noise. "I'll distract them!" "What?! NO! Come on we have to run!" I objected. I wasn't going to lose him to whatever this thing was.
"Just go!" Suddenly he grabbed me around the waist and pulled me to him. Then he KISSED me! Against all odds he was kissing me. I closed my eyes taking it in. But the sweet kiss only lasted for a brief moment. Then he pulled away "Go" he whispered "Go and don't look back!"
A reluctantly pulled away and ran for my life. I didn't look back, my thought were left on that kiss. What was I doing? I was abandoning the guy I had a crush on. The guy that liked me back. I was doing something he wanted me to do so I'd be safe. Was this the right thing? I kept running; running from the light. The whirling sound got lower and lower until i could not be heard. The light was gone. I must have been a long a way from it by now. I came to a stop. I heard Cliff's scream of pain. And then the crack, that twisted crack I never wanted to hear.
I was alone...
I put my face in my hands as tears began to flow and pour down my cheeks.
He was gone, everyone was GONE! I was the last one left. What was meant to be a harmless camp turned out to be a hunters game.
I cried for what felt like an eternity... ... I needed to be strong. I...heard footsteps. Was it Cliff? I turned around... And I screamed at the sight. WHAT WAS THAT THING?!
It reached out it's pale hand as it cover my mouth. Darkness took over as I heard the crack... "Then I woke up in my room. I...I don't know if it actually happened or not..." Heather trailed off feeling a little dizzy. She rested her head on the chair staring expressionless out the window. Dr. Grain smiled "It just sounded like a dream to me, Heather. But, can you remember what this monster looked like?"
"Barely..."
"It just sounds like a dream to me. Tell you what, come back tomorrow and we'll find some ways to help you get over this episode. Thank you for coming Heather..." Heather got up and walked out of the room. Was that all really a big dream? If so why did she still mourn over Cliff? He was just a dream, a figment of her imagination, wasn't he? She didn't know but she would come back here tomorrow to find out... .... ...... ..... ..... 'Appointment with this Heather went smoothly. Subject appears to have no effect from 'Control' experiments but 'Ressurection' experiments were a great success. She has no memory of the events on the ship or of our true identity. Next appointment will be tomorrow. I will try 'transformation' experiments on subject tomorrow. Also, the human disguises were a success, will have to make more copies for future invasions...' THE END
Big twist huh? Not like my usual, aliens this time...
If anyone has any questions on this story at all, don't hesitate to ask.
