We're getting late for the the reunion if you don't hurry up!"

"Yeah, yeah. We still have to wait for the babysitter. We can't leave Melody alone .. " Then the babysitter appeared.

"I'm already here." She laughed.

"Oh, thank god. I'm so glad you could come. It really means alot to me."

"Always." "Alright, alright. I'm ready to go." Lynsea walked out of the bathroom. The babysitter walked to Lynsea.

"You look wonderful, Lynsea. You look just like me when I was younger."

"Thanks, mom. I'll take that as a compliment." Lynsea laughed and hugged her mother.

"Now, hurry up. You don't want to get late." "Shall we go, beautiful lady of mine?" Randy smiled.

"Yeah!" Lynsea smiled too.

The two went to the car and drove to the place where the reunion was. "I'm ready to party!" Lynsea shouted as she walked towards the crowd. "Ooo my god, Lynsea! Long time no see! Wooow, you look beautiful tonight. I've got so much to tell you. I want to introduce you to my husband, Lyns." Maureen smiled with a big smile. She was so happy to see Lynsea.

"Lou, come over here!" Maureen shouted. "Well, hello Mrs. Matthews." Lou laughed and hugged her. "You've changed alot. In a good way, by the way."

"Yeah, you obviously don't. You still look the same." Her eyes shone with delight. "Heeey, there's my old mate, Lou!" Randy shouted from a distance. He came closer to the three. "How are you doing, buddy?"

"I couldn't be happier. I just bought a new car and .. " Lou said.

"Oh, mentalk. I'm gonna get something to drink. I'll catch up with you later," Lynsea said and went to the bar. "Look who we've got here. If that isn't our Mrs. Matthews."

"Well, hello to you too, Stephanie."

"Hello, Lynsea. It's good to see you again."

"You know .. I always envied you, Lynsea," Stephanie confessed.

"Wait .. what? YOU envied ME?" She almost choked.

"Yes. I envied you. You didn't care what others said about you. You dared to be yourself. And .. you were the one Randy fell in love with." Stephanie sighed. "You were the person I wanted to be. I guess that's why I was picking on you. I really missed you as a friend, Lynsea. We were so close when we were younger. I missed that."

"I missed you too, Stephanie," said Lynsea and hugged Stephanie. She forgave her. Stephanie stood up when Randy came by.

"Hi, Randy. I haven't seen you since highschool. How are you doing?" Stephanie asked with a smile.

"Oh, hello Stephanie. I'm doing great, what about you? You're looking alot better than back then," he noted.

"Well, yeah, I'm doing fine. I want you to meet my husband, Eli .. " "This is Eli, the boy I ehh .. I told you about when we were younger." A nervous laughter escaped from her mouth.

"Nice to meet you, Eli. I've heard a lot of things about you. I hope you make her happy."

"Nice to meet you too, Randy." It was obvious Eli didn't like Randy at all. "If you can excuse us .. " he said and took Stephanie with him. Meanwhile, Lynsea was talking to Jessica, who used to be Stephanie's best friend.

"Hi, Lynsea. You look wonderful tonight."

"Thanks, Jess. You too."

"Lynsea, I wanted to apologize for my behaviour. I know Stephanie and I messed up your life. But .. you know .. I never really liked Stephanie. I just loved the attention. I never felt accepted more in my life than when I was around Stephanie. I felt pretty, skinny, popular. But after we graduated I realized that there was more in life then being accepted. I wanted to love myself. And the weirdest thing is that I never loved myself when I was skinny. Sounds weird, doesn't it?" Jessica laughed.

"No, it doesn't sound weird at all. And to be honest, Jessica, you really look beautiful tonight. The only people who are beautiful are the people who are confident. And I can see you are." After a while the group went sitting around a campfire. Each of them told a little story about what they have been through after they graduated, and what they became.

Lynsea began. "After I graduated .. I studied medicine. I got married, and while I was studying I became pregnant from my beautiful daughter, Melody. I'm still studying medicine and want to be a doctor." "After I graduated .. I went working at a beauty salon which my parents owned. I'm still working there. I am single at the moment, and looking for a great man. I know some day I will meet him." "After I graduated .. I trained alot and joined the military. I married a beautiful woman, Maureen, and she got pregnant. We've got a wonderful son named Dean. The weeks when I'm home I love to spend the day with my family." "After I graduated .. Eli got me pregnant. I had a miscarriage. I do not work and I'm still planning to get a baby." "After I graduated .. I studied medicine with Lynsea, but I had to stop because I got pregnant from my son, Dean. Before that, I got married with the most amazing man ever, Lou." When it was Randy's turn, everbody went quiet.

"When I was in highschool, I was a young and selfish boy. I only cared about popularity and how good I had to look. But then, I fell in love with a girl I never even thought that I could fall in love with. She was different. In a good way. She changed my mind of perfection. You didn't had to be popular to be pretty. But I messed it up. I hurt her. I was devastated. I didn't know what to do. So I decided to make it up with her, because I knew that she would be a big part in my life. After we graduated, we broke up because we both had different studies. But we realized we couldn't live without each other, so I married her. And a few months later, I got her pregnant from a beautiful daughter, Melody. And that wonderful girl I was talking about .. she sits next to me. My wife, Lynsea." The reunion was almost over.

"Say, Lynsea .. I really want to hang out with you some more. And I would love to see your little star, Melody. And maybe I can bring Dean too. Wouldn't that be lovely?" Maureen smiled from ear to ear.

"Yeah, we should do that!" And before Maureen left with Lou, she gave Lynsea her number. Lynsea went looking for Randy.

"You enjoyed the reunion?" Randy asked.

"Yes, definitely. It's so weird to see how everybody changed."

"I agree with you. And I changed too."

"What do you mean?"

"Lyns, I was a guy that based beauty on the outside. But when I met you, you changed my opinion about perfection. I thought being pretty was all about popularity. But that's not true. You are a pretty woman, Lynsea. And you're not perfect, nobody is. But you're my idea of the perfect girl I always wanted to marry."

Lynsea leaned her head on his shoulder while he spoke. "Perfectly imperfect, right?" She smiled.

"Right." He took her head in his hands .. .. and grabbed her back. He turned his head slightly to the left and kissed her passionately. Butterflies rose from Lynsea's stomach, just like the first kiss.
