When I woke up the next morning, I thought I'd dreamed all this. Again, I looked in the corridor where I saw Joanne vanishing last night, but I actually noticed nothing unusual.
Nothing happened during the day.

En me réveillant le matin suivant, J'ai tout d'abord pensé que j'avais révé tout cela. De nouveau, je jettais un coup d'oeil dans le couloir où j'avais vu Joanne disparaitre la veille, mais sans rien noter de spécial.
Il ne se passa rien durant la journée. This night, the diner was very quiet, too quiet for me, and I was ill at ease, unable to start a conversation.

Cette soirée-là, le diner fut très silencieux, trop silencieux pour moi et j'étais mal à l'aise, incapable de démarrer une conversation. But unexpectedly, Joanne started to laugh.
"I know !" she said to Artemus. "I think I just found the solution !"
"Great !" Artemus replied. "So when do you think you'll try to use it ?"
"I have to do some research before ! I don't want to rush things !"

Mais tout à coup, Joanne s'est mise à rire.
"Je sais !" dit-elle à Artemus. "Je crois que j'ai trouvé la solution."
"Super !" répondit Artemus. "Quand penses-tu donc essayer de l'utiliser ?"
"Je dois faire quelques recherches d'abord ! Je ne veux pas précipiter les choses !" What were they talking about ? I didn't have a clue !

Mais de quoi parlaient-ils donc ? Je n'en avais aucune idée ! After everyone went to bed, I decided that I had to find out ! I went to the corridor and looked for a secret passage.

Après que tout le monde soit allé se coucher, J'ai décidé qu'il fallait que je saches ! Je revins dans le couloir à la recherche d'un passage secret This should be here ! I'm sure Joanne was right here when I saw her vanishing.

Ce devait être ici ! Je suis sûre que Joanne était juste là quand je l'ai vu disparaître. "Well, let's try", I said to myself.

"Eh bien, essayons", me dis-je. And it worked ! I passed through the wall, as if there was nothing there.

Et ça fonctionna ! Je passais à travers le mur, comme s'il n'y avait rien du tout. I was so happy to discover what was on the other side, but my smile rapidly faded away.

J'étais ravie de découvrir ce qu'il y avait de l'autre côté, mais mon sourire s'évanouit rapidement. In this room, I found a strange bottle of green liquid, a machine that could make fake money...

Dans cette pièce, je trouvais une étrange bouteille de liquide vert, une machine à fabriquer des faux billets... ... a cristal ball...

Those women were crazy ! Why using black magic ? Well, at least, now I know where all their money comes from ! The police would be happy to discover this room !

Ces femmes étaient folles ! Pourquoi s'adonner à la magie noire ? Eh bien, au moins, je savais maintenant d'où provenait tout leur argent ! La police serait ravie de découvrir cette pièce !
There were also stairs in this room, and I decided to went upstairs. I had to see everything.

Dans cette pièce, il y avait également un escalier que je décidais d'emprunter. Je devais tout voir. The room above was dark : no window and very few candle lights.

La pièce au dessus était sombre : pas de fenêtre et peu de chandelles. In the middle, a strange object was glowing. I didn't know what it was, but I didn't like it. It was quite creepy: probably a stuff for black magic rituals.

Au milieu, un étrange objet luisait d'une lueur inquiétante. Je ne savais pas ce que c'était, mais il ne m'inspirait pas confiance. Ce truc à donner la chair de poule était probablement utilisé pour les rituels de magie noire. But it was not the only thing in here. There was also... a man. He was painting, and for one moment, I thought he didn't notice me.

Mais ce n'était pas la seule chose qui était ici. Il y avait aussi... un homme. Il était en train de peindre, et pendant un instant, j'ai cru qu'il ne m'avait pas vu. I must say that he was quite attractive, though his skin was unusually pale.

Je dois dire que je le trouvais assez séduisant, malgré le fait que sa peau soit étrangement pâle. Finally, he stopped painting and looked at me. His eyes were quite scary, but his behaviour was not aggressive.

Finalement, il s'arrêta de peindre et me regarda. Ses yeux étaient impressionnants, mais son attitude n'était pas agressive. "Hello, Horrorra", he said. "Yes I know you."
"But I don't know you", I replied. "Who are you ? What are you doing here ?"

Alors que je l'observais, je ne savais que penser de tout cela. He was pretty nice, not a kind of vampire I had heard of.

Il m'était sympathique, loin des vampires dont on m'avait parlé. His story moved me, but how was I supposed to help him ? And should I help him or try to kill him ! After all, he was a murdered and a danger for the neighbourhood.

Son histoire m'avait ému, mais comment étais-je censé l'aider ? Et puis, devais-je l'aider ou bien le tuer ! Après tout, c'était un meurtrier et un danger pour tout le quartier. Dear readers, I'm asking you : what must I do ?
