Here is part ten of my story the Guardian. I did give up on the Sims 3 a long time ago and now I am back playing it again. Thankfully I didn't delete the screenshots, so I will be able to finish this story (FINALLY!)

Enjoy :)

Enjoy :)
Ricky was spending a lot of time with Ava and soon it became clear that they would be going past the friendship stage of their relationship.

Ricky loved being around Ava and he could grow to love her. She didn’t love him yet but he had the supernatural on his side if he needed it.
Ava often invited Eve over with Tristan and this gave her the chance to introduce Ricky as her prospective new partner to her family. Eve was happy to see Ava smile for the first time in a long while and she credited that to Ricky. He made her happy and she just wanted to see Ava as happy as she was in her marriage.

“You deserve to be happy,” Eve smiled at her sister after they ate dinner.

“I know, I really like Ricky, it’s been only a few months but I think I really like him,” Ava replied.

“Take it slow,” Eve replied, “It’ll be worth the wait if its right. I know from experience.”
Ava smiled at her sister and soon she was allowed more time alone with her nephew due to Ricky’s ability to charm her sister.

Ava watched on, as she hugged her nephew softly. She was truly happy for the first time in a long time and it showed.
Though she was still haunted by memories of Gabriel, Ricky was proven to be a good distraction. Even after her sister left, Ricky was ever affectionate and tentative. It was clear he liked Ava and Ava relished his attention. As they sat down on the sofa together, Ricky pulled Ava close and asked, “Ava, can I kiss you?” Ava blushed and managed to nod in response as Ricky pulled her close and kissed her tenderly.

It was a nice kiss, not quite the butterflies and fireworks she had with Gabriel but maybe that would soon come.
An hour later, ever the gentleman, Ricky said his goodbyes and headed home. That night Ava tossed and turned all night. She couldn’t sleep and all that kept crossing her mind was the thought of Gabriel versus Ricky in her mind. She decided to clear her head with her usual early morning jog before work. She headed to the beach and to her surprise saw a familiar face also jogging along the beach. She got goose pimples thinking how weird it was to see someone she’d not long been thinking of. “Ava?” the voice asked excitedly.”

“Hello Gabriel, it’s good to see you,” Ava replied.

“You too,” Gabriel sighed and glanced at her for a few moments, “I’ve missed you.”
Before Ava could reply, she found herself in his arms, hugging him tightly. All her anger was gone. Ava pulled away, knowing how desperately she wanted to be back in his bed, his embrace...

“Ava,” he said reaching forward, brushing her cheek, the sexual tension between them was obvious.

“No, I can’t” Ava replied, “I’m sorry; it’s just too much...”
“I understand,” Gabriel nodded, his beautiful eyes piercing Ava’s, “But if you feel like changing your mind, here’s my address,” he said handing her a business card.

Ava took the card but didn’t reply. She needed to leave and fast.
Later that night, after her shift, Ava found herself walking as if on auto pilot. She didn’t remember driving; she didn’t remember asking for directions. All she knew was that she felt home as she was greeted by Gabriel.

“I’m glad you came,” Gabriel smiled relieved as he leaned forward to touch her cheek.

“Me too,” Ava replied.
He gestured to the sofa and they sat looking at one another for a few moments.

“I messed up Ava,” Gabriel said, “I made you think I was fooling around but I wasn’t...”
“It’s ok,” Ava cut him off and touched his hand and pulled herself into his arms.

“You know I adore you Ava,” Gabriel said, “In fact I love you. A hell of a lot...”

“You probably think I am a fool for not stopping loving you, but I couldn’t stop,” he said softly.

“Then I am a fool too,” Ava said looking at Gabriel passionately.
Gabriel looked at Ava happily and leaned forward.

They kissed and there were the imaginary fireworks again.
“Are you sure?” Gabriel asked and Ava silenced him with a look. They went to the bedroom and touched one another like they used to. They made love and realised they still loved one another. It was fate. Ava fell asleep knowing things had changed, she needed to tell Ricky. Things were different now. Gabriel was back in her life and she was content and deliriously happy. But things never ran that smoothly for Gabriel and Ava...
