Hey guys!
So this is Chp 3!

Last time we saw how Amy learnt about her family's fate and about her own fate. We also introduced three characters and left it off with Amy arriving at Beatrice's home and meeting Andy.

Let's see what fate has planned for this little girl. Enjoy!
Andy took her through a side entrance and into a long, low building. He walked in and walked over to a group of kids around her age.

“Hey guys, this is Amelia…”

“It’s actually Amy, Amelia is the name my mom used to call me by when she was mad at me,” Amy muttered.

Andy grinned “Ok then, this is Amy, the newest member of our little family and of our AAS.”
“AAS?” Amy asked curiously.

“Anti-Angelista Society,” one of the girls jumping of the litter and walking over, “I’m Kate by the way. Nice to meet you.”

“You too,” Amy responded shyly.

Kate took her arm and took her over to a pair of kids who were obviously siblings,

“These two are Lucy and Michael, they’re brother and sister. You know Andy of course and then there’s Sarah if she reappears any time soon.”
“She’s probably outside,” Lucy piped up.

“Probably. Come on you can leave your stuff here, top bunk’s yours,” Kate said taking charge.

Amy glanced at Andy who smiled warmly and motioned for her to follow Kate.

“Coming?” Kate called over her shoulder.

“Coming!”
Amy followed her to a small garden at the back of the building where another girl was playing among the sprinklers.

“Hey Sarah!” Kate called “Come meet our newest recruit!”

The girl turned to them and ran over with a smile.
Hi, I’m Sarah. Welcome!” she said with a broad smile.

“Sarah’s the happy go lucky of our little group,” Kate explained before turning to Sarah. “Better be careful with the whole Julie-Andrews-Dancing-in-the-Rain thing. You know Angelista hates it when we come anywhere near her precious tomatoes.”

“I know, I know,” Sarah soothed, “I just took the opportunity while she went to get…”

“Amy”

“Yeah, while Ms Angelista went to get Amy to enjoy this nice summery morning. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

“Just saying. On your head be it.”

“Alright, alright let’s get back inside. She’s back anyways and we all know how much she enjoys sitting on her balcony sipping lemonade to watch her tomatoes.”
“One question,” Amy said hesitantly.

“Shoot,”

“Why tomatoes?”

The other two burst out laughing and Amy blushed.

“Sorry, it’s just a joke of ours. You see, she doesn’t really like the garden, it’s just here. The previous owners must have planted the seeds and combined with the good climate and plenty of water they just grew. She doesn’t care about it, just as long as we don’t trample them. I’ve got the feeling that there’s going to be a dark purpose to these beauties later on, but for now they’re just décor.”

“Oh.”

“Come on, let’s get back inside and we’ll debrief you on survival skills.”

“Ok, wait….survival skills?”
A few days had passed and Amy had quickly learnt what to do and not do.

Ms. Angelista was very strict; she hated kids and thrust them at Andy as soon as they arrived.
Michael had explained that the only reason that they were even there was because she was too lazy to work so she took them in and received money from the government for helping poor orphaned children. She had very strict rules but that was ok, just as long as you didn’t cross her you’d be just fine.
PS: She's very snoby and vain. Compliment her (discretely) and you'll win her over for the next 10 minutes.

She’d also learnt who was who and how everyone contributed to making themselves a home and have a family.
Andy was sort of the protective older brother for them, taking the blame for stuff and trying to make things as easy as possible for them.

He was 16 years old and had been under Ms. Angelistas’s “care” since he was 6 so by now he knew the rules of the game better than Angelista herself.
Kate was the rebel of the group.

She had this air of confidence and of being sure of herself that was reassuring so she was kind of Andy’s 2nd in command.

She's also very ambitious and a true fighter so she tends to get what she wants when she wants it no discussions or we'll se who's tougher

She’d lived there since she was a year old so she couldn’t remember anything about living with her parents, a subject that was therefore banned.
Then we’ve got Sarah.

She’s the goody two shoes and a real angel. Always helping and trying to do the right thing, she was always the one to calm down everyone when Kate got into one of her bad moods and started fighting with Michael.

She’d been living there for 3 years and was convinced that if they persevered and worked hard in school they could get somewhere in life even if they didn’t have anything.
Michael was the second rebel and as hot-headed as Kate so they generally got into fights when Andy wasn’t around to see who got to be leader for the day.

His younger sister Lucy and him had arrived there barely 2 years before Amy and since then Michael had become very overprotective of his little sister, ready to protect her against anything and anyone including Ms. Angelista, a fact that got him sent to her office one to many times.
Finally, Lucy.

She’s the youngest of the group barely 6 years old. She’s the shiest and most sentimental of them all and is quite indecisive about everything so they all tend to protect her, keeping the saddest things from her.

She tends to look up to her brother for everything and is always asking him about their family and their life before the orphanage.
All in all, Amy was slowly settling in. The kids were of great help and support as they all knew what she was going through and didn’t push her.

They kept her far away from Ms. Angelista and slowly got her to open up to them and tell them about her dreams, what she liked to do and not do, what she wanted for the future, etc...

So curled up in bed a few weeks later she couldn’t help but think that life really might be giving her a second chance.

    Hi Belara,

Hmmm...still can't make it work \:\( When I refresh I see a quick flash of some pics and it sends me back to page one with the last pic on it. I'm signed in and everything, I don't need to be a subscriber or anything right? Or maybe it's my stupid computer acting up again...is there any other way to see the pics?

    Hi K9DB
I don't know, I'm not the best with computers. I don't think you need to be a subscriber cause I'm not and I can see them fine. I'm going to try and put them in the screenshots and I'll just write page 1 pic 1 so you know what goes with what.hopefully you'll be able to see it then.
