This is the sequel to "Jemma & Sam", set 20 years later. It will chronicle the trying times they will have to overcome as a family. Hope you enjoy it!

Lauren Violet sat groggily at the table and let her mind wander to the day ahead. Did she have a test today? She couldn't remember, nor did she care. Jemma watched her daughter, still wiping the sleep from her eyes. The years had flown by and now Violet sat before her as a full-blown teenager. Dismissing the fact that Jemma herself had grown older, she took a seat at the table. Violet watched her spoon slowly sink into the oatmeal. "Where's Ava? She's gonna be late for school," she said, turning to her mother. "She went in early today," Jemma replied absently. Do you have a test toDAY?!" She nearly choked on her coffee upon seeing Violet's new piercing. "Sweetie, why are you covering up your beautiful face with all that metal? Your father and I have been more than lenient with your behavior, but really now..." Violet had stopped listening. Her mother didn't understand most of her actions, which proved very frustrating. There were many objections and even more tangents, all of which Violet chose to tune out of.
"Are you done?" she interrupted Jemma, glad that the subject of her test had been dropped. Jemma heaved a deep sigh.
"I suppose," she said, concern sweeping over her face.
*Just growing pains, I suppose* Jemma assured herself. As Violet walked to school, suddenly a familiar sound made her stomach flutter. She didn't have to turn, she knew exactly what it was... It was Bryce Fisher. Smoothly, Bryce stepped out of the car. And before Violet could realize it, something amazing was happening. He was walking towards her. Her heart racing and palms sweating, Violet held her breath as he approached her. "Hey, uh, you're in my biology class, right?"
Jemma slowly nodded, unable to respond in any other way.
"Do you know what room number it is? Haven't been in a while..." She couldn't believe it. Bryce Fisher, the boy she had had a crush on for the past 2 years was talking to her.
*Think! Think! What room number? 127? 253? Bryce's lips... No!*
Violet's mind raced. Finally remembering the number, she spewed out, "247!" "Thanks," Bryce said nonchalantly. Just when Violet thought that the moment could not be more perfect, a miracle happened. As he walked away, Bryce turned and winked at her. Violet stood in bewilderment, shivering with delight. After finishing her coffee, Jemma went upstairs to make the bed. The bathroom door opened and Sam emerged. He quickly appeared at the other side of it and started straightening the sheets.
"You've been spending a lot of time with Jessie lately..." he stated. Jemma froze, the heavy weight of shame sinking in her gut. She continued to straighten the bedding, rather hastily, and did not respond. Sam swiftly made his way to Jemma and smiled.
"I was just noticing. It's nice that you have a friend," he said as he wrapped his arms around his wife. He started to kiss her, but Jemma pulled away suddenly. She forced a weak smile. It was getting hard to look him in the eyes these days. Dodging his questioning gaze, she escaped into the bathroom to prepare her bath.

I'm curious to know what's happened in the life of the Parkers... It must be difficult being in Violet's situation, not having anyone understand. I hope Jemma isn't cheating or anything.. can't wait for more
