Hi Everyone!
Holy God, I am SO sorry for not uploading recently. I'm really sorry everyone, I just hope this new story will satisfy you all. See, I've had school and other things going on and so I never really got a chance to upload. Once again my deepest apologises.
This is the sixth story in the Dark Secret Series. This one of my longer ones, you know like 'The Haunter' and 'The Ghost Bride'.
Dedication goes to my to my great friend Jaws3, I guess you could say it's a really late birthday present! XD

Read on... "You know what I find annoying? Those kangaroos, I mean all they do is jump around all day and then they just make a toilet anwhere they like." Nessa said with a joking tone.
I rolled my eyes. She always acted like this whenever I was trying to make new friends. It was Tuesday night and I had invited my new neighbour, Jenny, over for a chat, and then Nessa happened to drop by and now she was trying to be welcoming. And when that happened it wasn't good, trust me... Nessa- one on the left- Although she can be a bit strange at times she is a great listener. We have been best friend since like what, year three. On the right, that was my new neighbour. Heard she worked with animals and pets. "And you know what else I think is great, this house!" Nessa said still talking to Jenny. I must have missed something back there."I love this house, if Anna hadn't bought it I would have anyday!" She then paused and looked to me, her smile vanishing replaced by concern. "Hey Anna, you okay? You look...distant. Anna, is it...that day, again? The day he...." She trailed off her sentence. It was that day. It had come again, like it had been for three years now. I remember it so clearly, our voices ecgoed in my head...
"What?!" he exclaimed.
"I just said I don't love you!" I replied backhe angry in my voice clear. He dropped the small box he was holding in palm of his hand.
"That's-that's...THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! What happened this afternoon, you kissed me!"
"Just leave me alone!" I ran off out of the parking lot.
Later on that night I watched the news. A breaking in story came up "Breaking news," the reporter said "A major crash has just happened on the highway. One man is dead and the other critically injured. The man believed to be dead is Kyle Richardson..." I felt everything seemed to shatter around me. Did I hear right? No, he couldn't be dead. The man just rejected couldn't be dead... I found myself crying. The guilt washed over me. He was dead and I just rejected him. I was the most cruel person in the world...
I had one reminder of him though. That item he dropped was a necklace he wa going to give to me. I remember going back down to the parking lot and finding it there in that small box. I wear it everyday...
"Hey you okay?" Nessa asked tapping me on the shoulder.
I shook my head trying to rid my train of thought "Yeah I'm fine.
Nessa smiled at me and went back to talking to Jenny. I tried to catch up with the conversation. I looked out the window. I jumped slightly; my eyes widened and fear tingled at my spine. Was I seeing things?
I saw a pale face at the window walk, his cold, flat eyes focused on me. I quickly looked away with a gasp.
"Hey, you sure your okay?" Nessa asked looking back to me.
I looked at her, I could feel the fear shaping my face. "I just...I hought saw someone outside."
"I didn't see anything" Nessa said shrugging.
"I'm telling you I saw soeone outside!"
Whoa Anna, calm down. Maybe you were imagining it."
Maybe I did. Jenny was keeping very quiet over there, I ecided to ask her too "Did you see anythign Jenny?"
"No, nothing." Why was she grinning like that? Did she think I was joking? It was really creeping me out, so just ignored it and trned back to essa. "Yeah, your probably right," I then said to Nessa "Probably was imagining that."
I then noticed how thristy I was "Hey, I'm thristy. Anyone else want a drink?"
"No it's fine" Jenny said still grinning creepy.
"I'm good," Nessa then said.
I got up and left for the kitchen. Open the fridge door I looked around at what I had left. Nothing much, just a few Sprite lemonade cans. I reached in for one and noticed it wasn't cold. That's when I realised the fridge wasn't cold at all. I looked to the back and saw that everything was on. What?
I closed the fridge door and sighed. Anna, stop imagining things, I thought to myself.
I then noticed everything was dead silent. I couldn't hear Nessa talking or Jenny"Guys?" I said "Hello?...Nessa, Jenny? Anyone?"
I slowly walked back down the hallway.
I turned into the living room to see no one there. "Guys, where are you?"
I then heard a sound, it was ike claws scratching against a glass window. I looked around seeing nothing. The sound got louder when another scratch joined in. Tehn another and then another until there was no other sound other then the scratching noise. All together they sonded like music from a horror moie or something.
The fear ran up and down my spine and into my stomach as well. I looked around breathing heavily.
A cold hand touched my shoulder. I screamed... I screamed so high I thought I would loose my voice...
"Whoa Anna, relax!" she yelled above my scream.
I stopped when I realised who it was. I didn't know wheather to fee relieve or angry.
"Nessa, don't scare me like that," I said almost breathless. "Hey, I wasn't the one who scared you here. I was just came back from the bathroom and obviously you didn't here me."
I looked at her with a bit of confusion "You mean you didn't here the scratching sound?"
Now it was her turn to be confused "What? I never heard anything apart from you calling out to find us." Was I really imagining things? "Nessa, I don't know what is going on with me. I think I might be hearing and seeing things."
"Maybe we should take you to a doctor," Nessa suggested a little concerned.
"No, I think....I think I'll be okay. Hey, where is Jenny?" "She said she had to leave early," Nessa said "something to do with her kids. Probably couldn't leave them there I guess."
Just then the light went off. I looked behind me to see the lamp was off. I looked back to Nessa who simply shrugged. "Power out, must be a storm somewhere." she said smiling. I didn't know whatkind of smile that was. In the middl it was one of reassurance, but on the edges it seemed twisted and odd. I just smiled back.
I heard the window outside. And then being carried by the wind I heard an airy, male voice "Scream, my pretty, scream..." My eyes widened and a chill ran up my spine causing the hairs on the back of my neck to prick up.
"Anna, you okay?" Nessasaid noticing my fear. "Anna?"
"There...there is someone outside."
"Anna, ther isn't anyone outside..."
"Didn't you hear the voice?"
"Anna, there wasn't a voice. You look really scared, there isn't anythig to be scared of." The door handle began to shake and I realised someone was trying to get in. "Anna, let me in Anna!" theariyvoice commanded sounding angry. I screamed looking at the door. "Anna, Anna what is it?!" Nessa exclaimed.
"There's someone at the door. Can't you see it?!" I yelled at her.
"What are you talking about?!"
"Scream my pretty, scream!" the airy voice said again only louder. I backed away up the small steps still screaming and not taking my eyes off the door.
"Anna, what are you doing? What's going on?!" Nessa asked still not hearing the voice. "There isn't anyone at the door!"
"SCREAM!" the air voice yelled at me.
"STOP!" I hollered. I closed my eyes when I thought that he would come in. The door stopped shaking and rattling. The heavy breathing stopped and everything was calm again. I opened my eyes to see if the person had made it in here. "N-Nessa..." I stuttered.
She sighed in frustration as she crept up to the window. "I'm telling you there isn't anyone there." "Nothing" she said.
I sighed in relief. Nothing. She walked back up to me a smile on her face. "I told, nothing to be scared of."
"I swore I could have hear something..." I trailed off my sentence. Was I realy going mad?
"Look, to make you feel better," Nessa then said breaking my train of thought "How about I stared at her in shock. Then anger shaped my face in both a worrying and anxious way "There is no way you are going out there" I exclaimed "I'm calling up the police.." "Would you stop! Listen to yourself. There isn't anythign or anyone out there, if there was I would be hearing them too you l know!"
She walked past me to the door.
"I'll be back before you know it" she said walking outside and closing to door behind her. I stood there shocked and unmoving staring at the doors. I then intwined my fingers together and looked around fearfully. 'It's just you in the house..' my mind said.
I need to calm down. Nessa can take care of herself, and she did say she had her phone. I knew she would call me if anything went wrong. And maybe she was right I took a glass from the cupboard and put it under the tap. It filled with water within seconds. Turning the tap off, my thoughts began to wonder. Who was this stranger? Why did he want me? Why was he trying to scare.
I let the train of thought break as soon as it had even begun. I drank down the water feeling a little better.
There was a tap on the window. I put my cup down. Could that be Nessa? I walked towards where the tapping came from. My office. I looked around and my eyes landed on the windows. The curtains were drawn in front of them blocking my view of the person tapping. It probably was Nessa. I walked to the curtains and pulled them back. I screamed at the sight. That wasn't real, it...it had to be IMPOSSIBLE! No, no,no...NO! The familar, dead face stared back at me with a deathly, evil smile on his pale face. "Hello Anna..." I backed away from the window with my hands in front of me. He tapped on the window. "Please let me in Anna. Don't leave out herein cold." He laughed, grinning like a child who just rewarded. I screamed and ran out of the room back to the hallway. I stopped there listening for his pleasured laughter. My ears wanted to go deaf at that point so they would never hear the laughter again.
Nothing, everything was quiet. Had I imagined that? Was a really going insane? Did I feel that much guilt? All these questions burned inside my head, as did the fear. The fear took over my body and mind.
What was it I feared?
Did I fear I was going insane, or did I fear that what I was seeing actually exsisted?
The phone rang causing me to jump. I slowly approached the phone. I took it off it's hanger and slowly put it to my ear.
"H-Hello?"
"It's only me!" I sighed in relief.
"Nessa, thank God!"
"You doing okay? You don't sound too good." "What, no I'm fine. I was just a bit frightened that's all." "Well, I can'tsee anything out here. I just got a call from my mum saying she needed some help back home so I have to head off." "What? Nessa, I don't know-"
"I told you there isn't anything to worry about Anna and if there is there's always...whoa wait. What is that?"
"Nessa...?"
"Anna, here is something right there. A-Anna..." She sounded frightened. "N-Nessa?" My breathing increased and the chils ran down my spine and then back up again.
I heard the other end crackle and then I heard footsteps run off in the distance. "NESSA?!" I yelled into the other end. "Nessa, where are you?!"
I then heard the other end crackle again and the sound of meavy and hoarse breathing rang into my ear. "Anna, scream for me would you darling?"
I pulled the phone away from my ear, staring at it in shock and fear. No, he still wasn't out there, he couldn't be.
He began to laugh loudly. "Scary isn't it? I came back and your not evengoing to let me into your house to talk? My, my Anna, how you have changed..." He laughed again louder and with tone of happiness in it. I dropped the phome and ran back to the kitchen. I could hear his laughter loud and clear until I reached the kitchen. I took dep breaths. Your only seeing things Anna, the guy you said no to isn't back form the dead and walking around. Calm down Anna just calm down. I turned back to the kitchen counter with a sigh. I looked up to the window... I gasped and jumped away. I managed tohold back a scream. HIs face was pressed against the window, alooked ofangry creased on his dead features. "Anna!" he said fiercly.
I only stared at him in fear. I just wanted all of this to end. Why me?
'WHY WAS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?!' my mind screamed. "Let me in Anna!"
I backed away "No, no...you should be dead! You died in that car crash!"
"Don't make me do this Anna!" He sounded frustraited now.
"Leave me alone!" I sprinted out of the kitchen, not looking back. I could hear him trying to open the door. I ran up the stairs hearing the door from the kitchen slam open. I got to the top I heard nothing, everything was silent. I dared to turn around. I screamed when I saw him standing at the end of the stairs. "You can't hide forever from me Anna!" I sprinted into my room and closed the door behind me. My breathing was heavy... I quickly locked the door hearing his slow but heavy footsteps coming up the stairs. They got closer and closer...
Then silence...
I waited for something, a sign or sound he wasn't really there and I was only dreaming this.
But then the door handle began to shake as if it was fearful too. Then it turned from side to side at a fast pace. He was trying to get through. 'The door handle won't last' I thought. I prayed it would.
The fear went up and down my spine, I cowered away to the wall behind me.
The handle gave way and there standing in the doorway, his appearance just like how I remembered it and had the smell of mold and dirt, was my boyfriend. My Kyle Richardson... He grinned sickly and evily "Hello sweetheart..."
He sklowly walked towards me, his cold, dead, flat eyes connecting with mine. I back up against the wall screaming. The fear and shock took over me. I felt faint. My world went black... NEXT DAY 3PM
"Janice, what happen here and where is the rest of the team?" asked Chief Jackson.
Claire walked up to him scratching her head in thought. "The rest of the team are at the graveyard. Apparantely, a grave was dug up and the coffin was found open. The case here is we got a call from a stranger, a man, at around two in the morning saying he found his girlfriend, Anna, unconsious in her room. He must of moved her because we weren't able to find her there.
"Also we got a call from one of her friends, Nessa I think it is, saying that she was seeing and hearing things that weren't actually there. Nessa said she went outside to see if Anna had seen this man walking past her window but se saw nothing and went home." "I see, and are you sure you don't know who this 'stranger' was?"
"No sir, he didn't give a name. He just told us the address and that when he came to see her she became unconious. Nessa said the same address too." Suddenly Jamie came bursting through the door. "Sir, I've found her!"
All three ran into the house with Jamie in lead. They stopped in a small room next to the kitchen. Slowly Anna got up in a sitting position, her face expressionless.
"Anna, are you alright?"Janice asked.
When Anna looked up her expression change. She now looked crazed and scared at the same time. "His back! Kyle is back!" She laughed crazily and started saying other strange things.
The officers just watched as she went on about her boyfriend coming back from the dead and saying she heard these strange things. They thought she was mental.
"I think she needs a trip to the hospital."
Suddenly Anna stopped and looked at them, even more crazed. "I'm not CRAZY! I'm telling the truth! The truth I tell you!"
"Yep, mental hspital it is."
With that they dragged a struggling and crazed Anna to the cruiser off to the hospital. A FEW DAYS LATER....
"It's such a beautiful house, isn't it?"
"Yeah, I guess." "I can't believe it work!" Ryan said turning to Nessa. "It's amazing what you can do with a bit of makeup. Good plan though!"
"I know!" she exclaimed. "She got so scared! I have always wanted this house and now it's mine..."
Nessa then smiled. "You know I was trying my best not be scared myself. I mean some of the stuff you did reallt freaked me out and if I hadn't know that was you I would have gone insane too.
"It's scary how much you look like Kyle, I mean he even had the same suit you are wearing!
"Just a question though, how did you get into the house? I mean, did you have a key or something? And how did you change your voice to do that 'Scream my pretties, SCREAM!' thing? And what about-" "Whoa, whoa wait a minute, I never did any of those things." Ryan interrupted her.
"Huh?" Nessa looked at him, confused.
"I never did any of those things." "Surely you did those things." Nessa said getting a bit annoyed now.
"Ness, I have no idea what your talking about!" "Come on Ryan, stop joking around, seriously."
"I'm not joking. All I did was pass the windows, try to open the door, stand in front of one window and call her up on the phone. I didn't do anything else apart from that..." Around the corner of the house he stood there, hiding and listening to the couple's arguement. His work was done here.
Kyle Richardson was watching them... THE END
Once again, I am SO SORRY about how I haven't been updating lately. Hopefully I can update on War of the Ancients soon. I really hope you liked this story and if you have time please comment. Any questions at all, let me know!

I didn't think this would happen but my computer is, for some reason, having an error with the family I use to make The Silence. Then I woke up this morning to find the family I used was deleted along with the images I used! This one survived, thank God! And when I reamde them and out them inton the lot I used, they got deleted too! I'll have to get to work to find out what it is so it doesn't happen again, my mum taught me a thing or two about computers.
So seeing as The Silence is probably not going to ever come out again, for those of you who want to know what happens either contact me via PM or my guestbook.
