Now I'm off to do my Chemistry (explained later)...
"I didn't know you played piano." Bethany exclaimed, walking out of her room.
"Yeah," Annie replied, "I've played since I was very small, but I haven't practised much lately."
"Oh. You're good at it."
"Thank you."
It was Saturday, the day after all the revelations, and life went on as normal. Bethany had painted early that morning, the finished picture now hung on her wall, helping the gallery feel that seemed to be happening. Paintings covered every wall, each and every one painted by her. Somehow, painting made her feel safe, comforted. Annie, in her almost empty bedroom, did her usual morning work out, listening to the music blaring from her radio. She would normally be fearful of waking Bethany up with the music, but today, she knew she was awake and painting, she would have known even if she couldn't hear her humming to herself. Over in the nearby school building, Tillie was dressed and just finishing tying up her hair when she felt eyes on her.
"Yes, my dear sister?" She yawned, covering her mouth with her hand.
"Good morning."
"That it is!"
The sun, shining on the bright azure of the sea, was blinding and yet so beautiful, you couldn't help but stare at it. It was one of those days where you were happy to be alive and wanted to do nothing more than spend the day playing outside in the sun's golden rays. Tim and Bethany obviously had the right idea. Walking out onto the beach, they spotted each other (for the school and the house were near enough next to each other) and promptly started building a sandcastle.
Smiling contently, Bethany exclaimed, "You're like the younger brother I never had."
"I'm not that much younger than you. Six months at most. Anyhow, don't tell Tracie. She'll get jealous." He smiled back. "She'll never know."
"She may do. We're telepathic, so she might just find out."
"Telepathic? Can you, like, talk with your mind if you can read minds?"
"I dunno. Can you read minds?"
"Yep."
"Wish I could."
"No, you don't. It's pretty annoying." "Huh, what's that, Pollyanna? You like my top? Why, thank you! You're looking pretty beautiful yourself!"
"Are you talking to a parrot?"
"The parrot has a name. Pollyanna."
"Are you talking to Pollyanna?"
"Yes." Annie stopped at the top of the stairs. "I wanted to know if you wanted to come to the swimming pool with me?"
"Uh... I'll ask Pollyanna."
"Pollyanna, can I go?"
The parrot nodded.
"Wow!" Exclaimed Annie, "I've never seen a parrot do that before!" They walked in silence for a bit, until Annie spoke.
"I want to apologise about yesterday. And before. And well, for all of it. If it wasn't for me, neither you or Bethany would be here, and then Tracie and Tim wouldn't and you would all have normal lives and..."
"It's not your fault. Stop feeling so guilty." Tillie continued. "My sister can see into the future..."
"What!?"
"I'll explain later. Anyhow, she was doing that." She remembered seeing Tracie looking at a candle, because she said she didn't need a crystal ball, only something to help her concentrate, anyway she hadn't brought it with her as they were too expensive and she feared it would break. "Do you know how much one is? You wouldn't take it's safety so lightly if you did!" Tracie had exclaimed, which made Tillie laugh twice, once then and once now. "... And she saw us all, but apart, sad and lonely. So, we have to all stick together, or else that will happen. Which is apparently not good. Not good at all."
"Huh? This is more than a little bit strange. She can see the future?"
"Yep. We can all do something. Well, that's what she says..."
"Bethany can..." Annie trailed off.
"Can you?"
"... No..." Tillie could tell she was lying, but didn't ask why.
"I can't." "Guys!" A voice drifted out of the building behind them, breaking up their game of 'cops and robbers'. " Come and get dressed. In something smart. We have a very important visitor coming soon." It was the headmaster speaking, leaning out an upstairs window. "These are all the students we could round together..." The headmaster gave a nervous laugh. "These either live in the school or the house next door..."
"Fine." The mysterious woman snapped. "Boy." At this Tim pointed at himself. "Me?"
"You are the only boy here."
"Uh, sorry."
"Boy, come with me." "I hope you have a pencil on you." The woman stared at him.
"I'm sorry, but no. There will be one downstairs though."
"Go and get it. Quickly." She ordered.
Tim ran downstairs to his classroom... and found no pencil. Then he remembered he lent his 'special' pencil to Bethany, so it would be in the house next door. He had no time to run and get it... but... he quickly looked around... Closing his eyes, he concentrated, and when he opened them, a pencil floated in front of him. He smiled, while the woman, watching him, secretly, from the doorway, smiled as well. "That's a very nice gift to have..." A voice came from behind him. Tim jumped, losing concentration, and the pencil fell to the floor, to be found later.
"Are you the only one who can do that?"
"Yes." Tim lied.
"Do you want to come with me? I own a place where you can develop that power..."
"No, thank you."
"Oh, what a shame. Well, if your friends don't know about you, maybe you don't know about them..."
The implications struck Tim. "Um... I'll come with you."
"Oh, good!" Meanwhile, waiting by the steps, Tracie covered her ears with her hands.
"Tracie? What's up?" Bethany asked, concerned.
"It's Tim. He's screaming at me. He said.... 'I have to go, I'm doing it for you, I'll try to come back. I love you, sis!', what is he on about?" But their mental connection was gone, no matter how she strained to hear his thoughts.
"Tim! Timothy, where are you?" She shouted at the sky, scattering the birds that flew overhead. There was no reply. Tillie: This is 'Behind the Aftermath', with me, Tillie! See this girl here? Well, this is the writer / photographer / creator! Now, this girl here, Hannah, she's been having a few computer issues. Namely, the loss of Apartment Life!
*Hannah: Now I can't move things up and down! But I don't dare install it again, as it caused me so much hassle.*
Tim: And she deleted me!
Tillie: Oh yes, I forgot that, sorry Tim. Yes, she somehow deleted Tim. Which was very scary for a bit.
Tim: But then I came back.
Tillie: He did.
*Hear Hannah mumble: Oh no! Tim! Where have you got to?* *Hannah: I have a feeling somebody is watching me. But there's nobody here. Huh. Oh well. Oh! What's that, Mum? Have I done my Chemistry homework? Yeah sure! *mumbles*, No, I haven't. I should do that... Oh, water of crystallisation and ionic substances in water are calling me. *Shuts down computer*.*
Tillie: Bye Hannah! See you later! >_< Tillie: Well, Tim, did you enjoy this, our first episode of us watching them?
Tim: It was very insightful.
Tillie: Yes. What did we learn today?
Tim: That Hannah hasn't done her Chemistry homework, and is not good at fixing computers.
Tillie: Focus on the positives, Tim! Tim: ... She wrote a new chapter?
Tillie: Yes! Oh, it's dinnertime now. Come on, what do you think it will be?
Tim: Chips, or pizza, or wraps, or jacket potato, or burgers, or...
Tillie: Shall we just find out?
Tim: Ok! Oh, it's... pie! ~_~ x

Interesting topic. It's kinda like Fallout meets Dr. X. I'm also interested in finding out what the aftermath was the result of. (Couldn't figure out how to format that sentence without ending in a preposition, sorry about that.)
